A very nice visit to the Caverns. It might be challenging for tall people as there are several places the height is four feet, and a few places the width is two feet. The staff were all kind and helpful.
There are a few places that feel a little tight, but it still feels pretty open. Being wet and dark, it's can be slippery, but your guide will remind you where those spots are.
Logan gave a wonderfully informative tour. Would definitely recommend. We were a group of seniors (67-71) and had no problems managing this tour.
Perfect day trip for the family from surrounding areas! Highly recommend the Bluff Trail along with the obvious Cavern Tour. There is so much wildlife! After a good rainstorm, all the wildlife seems to come up further from the river basin and you're more likely to see/encounter beautiful birds, deer, otters and possibly even an alligator (tho we didn't see any gators). We did see a snake sunning on a rock about 10-15ft off the trail, so be sure you're respecting the environment and staying alert. It was a really fun trip that we will do again!
I have no problem dishing out the $45 for the tour. My problem was that NOWHERE does it say that the cave tour costs extra. Even the guy at the gate told us to pay $5 and go inside.
I’ve paid $20 for cave tours, I don’t have a problem with the money, it’s the way it was done. I’m just glad this was a side step and not a planned activity.
There is a place to purchase tickets, and it should say $15 instead of $5.
We had an amazing adventure! We took a night tour given by Ranger Steele, who was very knowledgeable and a fun guide!
Nice park for hiking and a visit to the carverns is a must if you are here. They do charge $15 per person for 45 minute guided tour. I do not think you can go into the cave unless you are on the tour. The caverns are great. Plenty of lighting. Some uneven floor and some steps. Also there are several very low ceilings, so if you are taller then that is a little more of an issue. Just need to duck or crouch down. No place do you need to crawl. The cavern formations are spectacular and still actively growing. Outside the caverns, there are some nice hiking trails. The trails are not very difficult, so great for kids. Dogs can use the hiking trails on leash. No dogs inside the caverns.
Smaller than what I was thinking but only 5$. If you're in the area worth swinging by
Thus was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the tour of the caves and wish we had more time to spend in the park! We will certainly be returning.
First time at the caverns and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Steele, was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions from my young great-grandchildren.
Never been, and I'm so glad I came. I loved learning the history and exploring the carvens. Will Def come back. Staff was sooo kind, from the gentleman at the gate to our tour guide.
The cavern was truly incredible. My husband had never been. We had a great afternoon here. I recommend you visit. Full of history.
Spectacular great attention, our route was John, the truth is, thank you very much John for taking so much effort to explain each of the details to us, everything was excellent.
The price I thought was a bit high. No discount To take the caverns tour. The park is on rebound from the hurricane a few years ago.
Who would've thunk Florida had caverns? Well, they do, and they are amazing! Came here December 2023. Impressive formations. Knowledgeable guides. Maybe not quite as impressive formations as Carlsbad or as big as Mammoth Cave, but amazing nevertheless (and much closer to home than Carlsbad). Good hiking trails on the property as well. Highly recommend to everyone.
