Florida Department of Revenue - Child Support Program - Ft Myers

My experience with this agency was pleasant. The burden of unanswered question and mishaps caused by other people was quickly resolved when I received a phone call from one of the more professional representatives that work here at the Fort Myers location. Always polite concerned and helpful with my case. Made uploading and signing files convenient. Keep up the great work.

I’ve been trying recieve services for the last 4 years and still nothing. They even closed my case two times for no reason when I’ve been waiting for them to contact me for the next step!

I had a wonderful experience with the Lee County Florida DOR/CSE from start to finish. As soon as my application was processed, I began to receive payments that I had not received in years. My phone calls have always been answered and returned. When my children were emancipated due to turning 18, the office automatically contacted me to furnish documentation to continue support since our order ran until 21 while the children are in college. This unit has made a big difference in our quality of life.

They have no idea what they are doing. I asked to speak with a manager and I told him I faxed paper work and went in office and they keep repeating my case was closed NOT RELEVENT anymore, that was a year ago, stop repeating old notes I re-submitted recently all kinds of ways! At the end the "manager" lied to me and told me what I had told him just to get off the phone because I called medicaid and they never received anything from them.

You fax and upload your documents over snd over and they say they never received them cuz they don’t care enough to do the job right snd then cut off your lifeline benefits

Worst experience ever. It takes for ever to get a hold of someone over the phone, and if you get lucky to talk to a human being the customer service is horrendous. They speak at the same time with you and when they get mad, send you to go to court and submit a complaint. I understand these people are currently working from home and working on your PJs the whole day can make you lazy and irritated. But at the end of the day, they’re getting paid to do their job. Is not that hard to help another human being and show just a little bit of empathy and respect.

Doesn't deserve one Star when they make the custodial parent basically do their work for them. Also very rude when you actually get a real person in the phone instead of constant recording. Man made one payment and that's all I would like to see this change how about instead of making it so difficult for the custodial parent make it hard on the Deadbeat that doesn't pay. I am on disability and it's not easy to live on the little bit I get. I usually go without to make sure my son has everything he needs

Doesn't deserve one star. When they make you feel like the one in the wrong just for asking questions about getting support payments and good luck getting a real person on the phone

I initially filled in 2017, took over a year just for them to “establish the paternity” with my son’s father. Not sure why it took this long? It’s now the the end of 2020 and still no support order filed, so my child goes without. Office closed, numbers busy or get through to wait an hour only to be hung up on, and web chat useless. They don’t seem to care the very least. One star is far too generous.

Filed in May 2019, it is November 2020 and there is still no movement on our case. The system is broken- and it's the children who suffer.

My ex is over $13k behind and all he has to do is make ONE payment and they take away the warnings. He has done this for many years. He plays the system and they will not do anything about it! Even after a 2nd court order last year, they still do not enforce it. HORRIBLE!

Horrible customer service. Cant get through to nobody.
Wait over an hour on hold just for them to hang up. This is ridiculous

Totally cares less about supporting children. They do not do anything and it just costs the parent who is trying to get support lost time at work. Horrible system and any good employees leave quickly.

Went here with my children's father in regards to his child support case with his daughter's mother to follow up about a letter her had received in the mail.we spoke with a gentleman named Phil, phil was absolutely the nicest man I've ever encountered within a government department especially child support. Most of the time the women in there are very snotty and rude to my kid's dad as if he is a dead beat, but not phil he gave us a lot of information we were not aware of.

They really don’t deserve one star this is the worst system I ever had to deal with I been waiting a whole year still no child support still no case still no court date still no progress smh just ridiculous

I have never had to file for child support before but unfortunately now I did. Phil was absolutely amazing so helpful everything was quick and painless he was very explanatory of everything I mean honestly we need more hard workers like him l. Phil (was absolutely awesome I probably should I got his last name but he was at window number 10! VERY HELPFUL THANK YOU PHIL! I was very discouraged having to come here because I didn't know what I was doing, but he really made it a good experience.

Worst of the worst i called there office in Tallahassee only to hear a recorded line saying try back some other time. REALLY SO MY CHILD IS NOT IMPORTANT WHILE THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT ENFORCE LAW. Im requesting assistant and is impossible to reach these agencies. Ill have to take off work and lose out money so i can apply.
