Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Staff was nice however dentist was just barely able to take the time to explain the procedure, and wanted to take out all my wisdom teeth. He was very aggressive and refused to take out 1 and said he would only do two. (Obviously a greedy money hungry fiend). Thank god I went to another dentist across the street who took out my wisdom
Teeth in 10 minutes charged half the price. Please avoid this awful dentist at all costs. Not just that but charged me 99$ for a simple X-ray.

The office was clean, staff, friendly and professional, Doctor took his time and went over procdure and next steps. Dental assistant patiently explained next steps and made me feel comfortable. I would definately recommend.

Unprofessional, unknowledgeable needs new management and receptionist that are professional with customer service skills.they need to be educated more with knowledge in their field. Don’t go there is my recommendation.

5 stars to the doctor for the wisdom teeth removal. He was great and I could tell he cared about me being comfortable the entire time and worked hard to make it happen. The only confusing part is that post op I was not given any information about my prescription. I had left and was headed home when I realized they hadn’t communicated about where they sent the prescription. When I called back they said they sent it to a pharmacy near their office, but in reality it had gotten sent to the correct pharmacy near where I live. Thank goodness we didn’t turn around to go bean that was after all. Seems like maybe they didn’t know what they were talking about.

What a big waste of time. I was told by the oral surgeon at the South Tampa location he would not pull my tooth, but would like to do a root canal. Instead of trying to make money do your job, just pull the tooth. He said it was nothing wrong with the tooth, so I asked if nothing is wrong why do a root canal. I still need an answer.

The removal of my wisdom teeth was an amazing experience. Not sure how that’s possible but it’s true. The staff is extremely professional, and will make you feel very relaxed. The doctor was so knowledgeable and at peace that I felt like I was only having my brother help me tie my shoe as opposed to having teeth removed from my skull.

I have not been so impressed with any medical practice as I was with this office in a decade! Yes, the DDS is sweet, funny, and very concerned about my comfort level.however, the front office and techs blew me away.
I walked in the office to see four women under 30, big smiles, kind of giggling and my first thought was oh great, I am going to be sitting here for two hours like my MRI appointment due to a simple error like my DOB.
Nope, what I got was the smoothest appointment of my life! My insurance was verified before my arrival. I was then educated on my procedure. The estimate I was given of my part of the cost was almost to the pennies! Every moment I was treated with kindness and respect.
These people need to become consultants on how to do your job correctly with a little schooling on how to treat your clients as well.

My wife recently got her wisdom teeth removed. She was really scared about going under for the surgery and the staff and doctor really made her feel comfortable and only did the local anestesia for the extraction.definitely recommend this place for all of your dental surgical needs.removal and recovery were a breeze

All of the staff and Dr. Travis were caring of me on a personal level and made for a calm and stress-free tooth extraction.

Everyone in the office all the girls were so nice schedule an appointment for the following week had my tooth pulled I had no pain and still have no pain everything went to perfection Dr Williams is and outstanding doctor and his assistant is very nice and knowledgeable also wouldn't think of going no other place to have my tooth pulled

Edited to add: As I said, this was in April 2022, which is a whole 14 months ago. I did bring this up at my two week follow-up, but they assured me it was “normal”. I also was very out of it during and after the procedure, so when was I supposed to bring it up then? I didn’t realize this was not a normal occurrence until talking with friends and them being shocked that it had happened. I cannot confirm this, but I believe the mishap was a result of them not taking into account that I was heavier than the average person and that it would take more to keep me under. Regardless, this shouldn’t have happened whether it was “well over a year ago” or it had happened yesterday.

The staff was lovely. However, I woke up from the anesthesia a little over halfway through my wisdom teeth removal. When I woke up and started panicking, they just continued on as I could hear them removing my teeth. I think they expected me to forget about it, so they never addressed it. This was in April 2022, so I hope they have improved since then. If I could choose again, I never would’ve come here.

Recently had my wisdom tooth removed and cannot stress how amazing the treatment, customer care, and professionalism was here at Florida O&MS in South Tampa. 10/10 Recommend. Will be going back for future treatment. Also. Cidra, my dental assistant, was amazing. As was my whole experience here.

I had oral surgery here (pulled tooth). While I can't say it wasn't completely painless (hey, it's a pulled tooth!), I experienced only a moment of discomfort overall. Couple that with the engaging doctor and assistants and it was a very good experience. If you need this type of service, you won't go wrong here. They talked me through every step of the procedure and gave me detailed instructions in writing on how to care for myself after the surgery.

I highly recommend this office as Dr. Williams and the entire staff at FOMS made this process super easy and comfortable for me. I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted and although I was nervous- all my questions and concerns were addressed. Recovery is a breeze and the staff was very knowledgeable regarding post-op care.
