This place is not acceptable. The receptionist staff was rude and unprofessional. I brought my handicapped rheumatoid arthritic mother here. I parked the car, and came up to the 4th floor to ask if there was a wheelchair I could borrow to bring her up. The receptionist said no, and I said she is not going to be able to get up here for her appointment then. The receptionist just shrugged her shoulders like she didn't care one way or the other what the hell I did. My mother took over 20 minutes to get from the parking lot yo the waiting room with her walker. After signing in it was two and a half hours before we were seen. The doctor was in for all of about 2 minutes.absolute worst doctor experience ever. No concern for the disabled or handicapped.

I Have nothing but praise for Dr Battle and his staff. The staff is very helpful. And dr Battle explains everything

I just sat waiting for an appointment for 1 hour 45 minutes. Then after watching the front desk staff close the window with an out to lunch note, I called scheduling and they danced around with the idea that it was because of the holidays they offered that the staff in the back and the doctor were still working. There is only one doctor at this location, when does he eat? All the same she said I should always plan 1 to 3 hours of wait time. I wasn't in that much pain but many around me were and I'm not sure how they can sit there in a waiting room for 3 hours. That aside this was the first time I heard I would need to carve out 3 hours for a doctor's appointment (at least the waiting part), if they had told me that when I made the appointment I could have scheduled differently or brought my lunch or even called somewhere else. I had to cancel as I couldn't wait because I had not been able to plan a 3 hour window for doctor in advance.
On top of that the waiting room was packed, there were at least 12 people in a tiny waiting room when I arrived and shortly thereafter there were me and 4 other people in the hall. It did not feel safe to wait there.

There are policies and procedures placed for a reason if a patient checks in at 10: am and one checks in at 10: 20am how you call the latter first. Absolutely no reason for the long waits majority of the people have severe health issues some can barely walk sitting for an hour and 12minutes is not good for no one.

I was a patient of Dr Batlle for about 2 years before moving to Alabama. He always was veey caring and attentive to my needs. If you went in and needed an injection he did it right then and there. There was no having to schedule with a different Dr on a day 2 weeks away. He shook my hand everytime he walked in the room to greet me. He knew my name without having to have a file in front of him. He genuinely cared about me as a person and about meeting my needs so that I could live my life as full and rich as possible. Since coming to Alabama I gave not received even a fraction of the care that Florida Spine provided to me. I would give anything to be home in St Pete and once again a patient of Dr Batlle.

Had to leave my own review after seeing the negative ones. I have nothing but praise for Dr Batlle and his staff. Yes, there is usually a long wait but that can be expected when the doctor is as good as Dr Batlle. He has always been courteous with me and consistently apologizes for long waits. The front desk person has changed but the former person is still there. I LOVED her. She may not be miss touchy feely but she was real and I liked her. I also like the current person but just wanted to defend the one before. I have been a patient for awhile and even with the long waits to be seen the one told the person helping me find what Medicare I was going on was that they HAD to have Dr Batlle in their network.

The lady at the front desk is absolutely disgustingly rude she talked to every patient like they were beneath her and rude. I watched her belittle patients for just asking for how long of a wait or how many patients in front of them. She was condescending and rude. She needs to be fired. She’s making patients not want to come back. She’s unprofessional and not friendly. Fire her and your patients will be happier.

This review is for the Spine Institute on 1700 66th st.north suite 403 my experience with Luis Batlle MD. Was very good he has nothing 2 do with this rating at all he is actually really good, but my experience just now with the schedule department was awful i wish i was not so mad during the call so i could of got her name, she was rude and inpatient and does not have any type of customer service skill at all. If you do not have the skill to do this type of job then dont please! Because customer service matter! And i am a paying customer. You were awful at your job and that alone makes me never want to come back. Maybe you should train your staff better an for those who are good at your job kudos 2you. Names matter because it is actually unfair to the good staff for this review, and fyi its my right 2ask question about anything pertaining 2my care thanks.
