Florida Trail 49th Ave Trailhead

Trail is nice both ways. Portable restrooms. Driveway could use some attention. And brush cleared along driveway so one can see traffic. Or post a 25 mph speed limit.

You can reach Canal Diggings, Christmas, new years and nailz from this trailhead. Horse trails, hiking and paved trail are also accessible.

Whenever I walk here I feel like I’m in Scotland or somewhere cool lol. I love coming here with family and friends to simply be in natural. We need more trails like this in the world

Accessibility is good; parking is adequate; there is potable water nearby. There are no restrooms tho; just 1 porta-john, and it was awful both times I was there, about a week apart. Same trash IN THE PORTA-JOHN, so obviously doesn't get attention. Thankfully I didn't have to sit down in there.
BTW, the trail from this trailhead is fabulous, especially going west. I will be going back for sure!

This review is my first impression of the trail head, not the trail. The Porta potty looks like it has been in place for over a year and has not been clean. It’s absolutely disgusting and a horrible first impression of the trail. How can this go on so long without anybody caring about it?

Great location for road bike or mtn bike. Hilly, and curvey paved trail to the left for 6 miles to dead end or 10 miles to the right paved to a bike shop. Mtn bike trails all over.
Bring your lungs and legs.

We overnighted at the trailhead. Not the best for camping but served the purpose in an emergency.

Great xc riding. The trails provide some good flow with gradual climbs. Loads of miles to be had. Worth it if you are into xc riding or one can do this as a warm up and then head to Santos after, which is what we did.

Nice trails, it is paved so if you bring your dog bring them early enough the ground isn't hot or bring protection for their paws!

This is a beautiful trail not just your flat straight railroad trail it's got nice curves and hills

This is much more than an asphalt trail (although that's great for bicycling and easier walks!). There are a number of "into the woods" trails, some are pretty flat and others have a bit of an incline. The parking lot is dirt with ample spaces for cars and a few places for horse trailers. There are "porta-potty" style restrooms and a covered pavilion.

Easy access to paved trails throughout the forest. Great for biking or hicking. Lots of sandy trails too for horseback riding.

This place never gets old. They have something for everyone; walkers, cyclists, runners, horse lovers, dog lovers. Beautiful sights towards the land bridge.

Great place to go hiking, nature viewing, picnic stops. There are plenty of places to park and rest. Great neighborhood with plenty to do. Also it seems pretty clean and well maintained.

This was our first time on the Florida Trail. It was very nice to walk on. But, I recommend, from learning on this trip, to do a little homework before going. There are a lot of options.

Very nice clean trails. First time riding this side of the Greenway and I highly recommend. I normally put in at the Santos trailhead. These trails are very well maintained.

Trail is paved and in good condit6and has a restroom. Trail is good for bikes and walkers.

This place is amazing it has a trail for every single body! I prefer the paved trail for walking and I kid you not it went on for miles and miles! How this place is not packed with people all day everyday I don't know. I absolutely love it!
