Very disappointed because the attention does not correspond to a 5-star hotel. Big rooms, with good views, but that's all. The chromecast in our room did not work, we repeatedly requested that it be fixed but it was not fixed while we were staying. The refrigerator in the room was very noisy and did not cool so we had to turn it off. We were on our honeymoon and this was the third hotel in Miami that we visited and the only one that did not have a welcome gift. Too many people, very noisy, you constantly see people in the hallways with bags of drinks that they buy in the supermarket to have parties in the rooms, the main pools are a real bacchanal, it is not a family atmosphere at all. The restaurants that the hotel has are terrible. Room service has limited hours. The rooms are not cleaned unless you request it, that is, on the day of our departure they wanted to clean the room before check out time giving the feeling that they wanted to throw us out. We didn't like it at all in general, we expected a quieter, more select environment with 5-star service. I do not recommend it.

The service in this hotel is terrible
️READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY

these people will try to do as little as possible so as not to return the initial deposit
and when you book online with another page that is not the official one of the hotel they make you pay a extra deposit over the first one deposit It only tells you when you are at the hotel
and they do not send you that information by email or by calling in advance.
Mind you, your payment does not guarantee that you can visit all parts of the hotel. You have to pay to have a seat around the pool. It is something.terrible I don't recommend it thank you

This place is so beautiful. Right on the gorgeous ocean with a million pools, restaurants and shops, you can essentially stay here the entire time and have a great trip (if you have enough money). Some tips—all tips are included (for sit down meals, coffee shops, bars, etc) at 20% so anything above that is still welcome but don’t accidentally tip half the cost of your meal like I did the first time. Fridge is extra money so don’t open it unless you’re okay being charged. You have to flag someone down at the pool or beachside to get a chair cover and towel. They’ll approach you for drink and good service if you look like you’re going to spend some money and tip, otherwise you have to seek them out. You need a wristband for weekend pool access and they’ll search your bag. Pool closes around sunset and opens sunrise. Have fun!

A prism reflection of opulence and tasteful indulgences, Fontainebleau emits sophistication.

It’s become a much different crowd now. Service is great, but the expectations are much higher at their price point

Wonderful high end resort right on the beach. Beautiful rooms and wonderful amenities. Maybe too many homeless people milling about.

I stayed here in March 2023

No one wants to sleep on dirty linen. There was what looked like make-up on the duvet and on the telephone and the towels had holes. Could have paid much less for a cleaner stay at an equally nice place elsewhere. However, I would stay here again despite the dirty bedding and the raggedy towels.

The service itself was excellent even though I was charged daily for a newspaper that I had to go and get myself. Lol like really? The least they could do it make it accessible if they weren’t going to have it delivered to the room. Do people still buy newspapers anyway?

The views are amazing. Free breakfast included when you book…. I don’t recall lol but it was an end unit directly facing the beach/ocean with a king sized bed.

And they text you nonstop from the moment you check in until the end of time with updates, as if your still checked in the hotel.

Attended NPA conference, but stayed at a different hotel. Food was excellent. Nothing is reasonably priced on Miami Beach, and FB is no exception. That being said the atmosphere is great, they have multiple dining options, and their pool area is gorgeous!

Mixed Experience at Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Rating: (3/5)

I recently stayed at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, and while the hotel has its merits, there were some notable downsides that left me with mixed feelings about my stay.

Upon checking in, it was clear that the hotel's furniture desperately needed an update. The outdated décor was quite noticeable and in dire need of a refurbishment. I stayed in the Sorrento Tower, which offered a breathtaking beachfront view and a spacious wrap-around balcony. However, the disappointment set in when we realized there was no balcony furniture for entertaining guests or lounging. Our request for balcony furniture was met with the claim that none was available, which hindered our plans to enjoy the view without being part of the bustling pool crowd.

Furthermore, the blackout curtains were a letdown as they failed to fully cover the windows, resulting in an overly bright room when the sun rose. The hotel's location, while picturesque, was not the most convenient, with the airport and downtown Miami both being a 30-35 minute drive away.

In terms of dining, room service turned out to be more expensive than dining elsewhere on the property. On a positive note, the gym was well-equipped, but accessing the spa or sauna required an additional day pass of $200 per person, per day, or booking a spa service.

Fontainebleau caters to large groups and offers a plethora of restaurants and nightlife options, making it a fun place for those seeking entertainment. However, if you prioritize luxury and comfort, you might want to explore other lodging options. The bed in my room was excessively soft, leaving me sore after a six-night stay. Additionally, the recurring issue with hot water required an engineer's intervention four times.

In summary, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is ideal for a younger crowd looking for a party atmosphere without the need for luxury amenities. If you're over 31 and seek a more comfortable and luxurious experience, you may want to consider staying elsewhere and visiting Fontainebleau for its nightlife and dining options. Personally, my favorite part of the stay was dining at Hakkasan, where I enjoyed multiple meals with different groups of friends, and they shared my enthusiasm for the restaurant.

Some of the best resort pools around, especially on Miami Beach. The staff are excellent at providing service and are friendly. Some of the rooms are getting a bit worn, but still very nice.

Thank you for an amazing experience and stay! Such a beautiful and diverse atmosphere! Quick visits, vacations, weddings, honeymooning etc. THIS IS THE SPOT. All around excellent and definitely worth repeat visits!

Memorable vacation at a getaway resort with a heritage. Having Liv in the hotel certainly helped spice up the night club. Apparently Al Pacino was supposed to come one week after we were scheduled to leave.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially Gonca and Mert. We arrived a hit too early for our check in and Gonca helped us settle in in no time.

Our only nitpick would be we wish the pools had more shades.

I'm not sure this should be considered a luxury hotel. I've only stayed at 5-star, true luxury resorts a handful of times, but found this one lacking.
While the grounds are nice, and the location on Miami Beach is surely sought out, you will feel nickel and dimed (more like $50 and $100'd).
That, coupled with dated rooms and virtually no in-room amenities, is a complete let-down. I would not pay to stay at this hotel (this was a work trip).
The room was very basic- small with the necessities (desk, chair, TV, closet, bathroom). No balcony.on the beach.
No couch or separate area to chill in. No refrigerator (that you can use, more on that later). No coffee/tea maker (and as someone else pointed out, you therefore cannot get coffee on the premises until their cafe opens), microwave, kitchenette, sink, or any other food storage or prep area/tools. A super small ice bucket, so with Miami heat and humidity, constantly going for ice). I could not get a couple of the USB outlets on the clock to work. The Wi-Fi is too slow for streaming.
The bathroom only had a shower, no tub at all. The marble was stained in a few places, the light fixture was all rusty or corroded, and there was an odd, small television that wouldn't work mounted on the wall (not at all creepy or suspicious). No lock on the bathroom door, a real treat with kids!
The hallway had a big chunk of wallpaper ripped off, and it looked like it had been left that way for a while. 1-2 of the four elevators in the main tower with checkin required a key card to select a floor, the others didn't?
Now to how it felt cheap- everything cost extra. The in-room mini-fridge? Full of expensive drinks, and if you so much as move one to chill your own beverage? Charged for the drink you moved. Same of course with the snack and liquor bar on the counter; move it you bought it. That's a great feature when you have kids with you. Roll-away bed for the kiddos? $60/day. Umbrella, that is stuck in the sand, providing a bit of shade from the sun, being used by no one? Nope, can't sit here unless you have your credit card handy on the beach (and of course it would have been cheaper to buy an umbrella at the swim store a few blocks down but who the hell does that when they fly in/out of town). Would it kill their bottom line to make them first come, first serve seeing as they get put out either way? I don't mind the $5 bottle of pop, or the $50 lunch entree, but I don't want to feel like every single thing I do racks up the bill, and that's what it feels like here.
To make sure I wasn't being unreasonable, I went on Google and searched 5-star hotels in Miami Beach and got several results (Nobu hotel, Ritz Carlton, the Setai, etc). Every one I looked at included robes and slippers, in room coffee makers, and most had balconies and extra seating areas in every room. They all still have great beach access, pools, restaurants, etc, but also offer great amenities and bathrooms. The Fontainebleau MB does not.

When I was outside at the pool it started raining and the workers closed the umbrella when my mom was trying to cover my baby brother but overall still good.

Never received the text to verify the room was ready, was told to go to key room, door to key room was locked, rang the intercom several times to get a busy signal, told to hold on and just rang and rang going to a busy signal. Finally got a response 30 minutes later telling me to push the door -had already done that numerous times-and to push "softer". A female employee comes out of the VIP check in with an ugly attitude and tells us to stop banging, I ask if she can assist us and all she keeps saying is that they are working on the problem.did nothing to assist us just escalated the situation unnecessarily. A guest who was waiting with us in line and left to inquire came back and said to go see the man at the blue desk.we did and finally got our room. He was a sweetheart but for a hotel of this caliber and at these rates I expected more. No desire to stay here again will try another hotel next time.: (

To add to that- when we got to our room the lampshade that is between the 2 queen beds was broken, took pics to ensure we are not charged because the damage was existing, the window curtains were stained, the showers water pressure was not adjustable-unable to make changes to the water flow- and water was shooting out of the side of the shower in my face. Oh and we were in the Chateau building on the 8th floor so we faced Collins Ave above the Arrival Drive.noise from the street, noise from the arrival drive, noisy people.rest did not come easy.dirty carpet-please wear shoes, wallpaper peeling.rooms need to be updated.

If you just want a room to barely sleep in so you can be out all night in Miami or if your standards are below average or even if you just want bragging rights then this hotel is definitely for you. But if your standards are slightly above average or you travel often and are use to a certain standard of excellence THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU.
