This Dr is a fraud and a disgrace to the profession, my mother was referred to him from another dr for a second opinion back in August of last year, he was 3 hours late and did same tests that were done by the refereeing dr copies of which were sent to him just to milk out more $$$$

I have diabetic retinopathy and other issues with my eyes that are very complicated and I have been seeing retinal & corneal specialists for years. I get Lucentis injections monthly from Dr. Villate and she is absolutely amazing! She is so sweet, extremely knowledgeable and straight to the point. Not to mention gives the best injections out of all the doctors I’ve seen! She and Dr. De Castro work together and have me seeing the best I have in a long time! Dr. De Castro’s bedside manner is truly unmatched. He is so caring and compassionate! He also helps me manage a corneal scar that is always acting up. The wait at this office can be long at times, but in my opinion the skills of it’s doctors totally makes up for it. I would wait any amount of time to be treated by Dr. Villate & Dr. De Castro!

Dr. Skolnick corrected my vision to 20/20 and I’ll probably only need readers at most from now on. I was a +8 and wore coke bottle glasses since I was 2 or 3 years old, I’m now 63. My first eye was done on Feb 13 and 2nd eye on Feb 27,2020. It’s a miracle. Everyone involved was extremely competent and professional. I was referred by Dr. Laura Falco in Davie at Jazzy Eyes. The Surgery was done at Baptist Eye Surgery. I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone involved in giving me my sight back. Thank you, Andy Smith

Wait time too long even after having an appointment. Waited 1 and a half hour past appointment time.

I am writing this review on behalf of my grandmother who was seen by Dr Gil Epstein for an eyelid procedure that she needed after suffering from an episode of Bell's Palsy. My grandmother had been quite self conscious of the condition of her eye lids and it was interfering with her quality of life by impairing her vision and interfering with her tear-duct and tear production. I took my grandmother to her consultation with Dr Epstein and I was beyond impressed and have nothing but positive things to say. Dr Epstein took his time with the appointment and answered all and any questions that my grandmother or I had. At no point did he seem rushed or bothered; his exam was very thorough and explained the condition and corrective procedure my grandmother would need in a very clear and detailed manner. The nursing staff and students were all very professional and respectful and made us feel very at ease and comfortable. Post-op my grandmother is looking and feeling beyond better than we all could have imagined. As a medical professional student myself, this experience truly set the precedent for the value of care and bedside manner that I will provide to my future patients. On behalf of my grandmother and myself, thank you so much for such a positive overall experience.

I had a great experience with Dr Ilan Epstein. My eyes were red and hurting really bad and my optometrist give me a drop that was not helping me. I'm happy now because my eyes are all better. I will recommend him to my friends and family and use him again.

I’ve been here for almost 2 hours and still haven’t seen the Dr. This place is like a zoo and they are booking way too many appointments. I made this appointment in the beginning of Oct.this was the only time and date available. This is ridiculous.

These are some of the most incredibly impressive and smart doctors. The office is also clean and beautiful.

I went to Fort Lauderdale eye institute for an eye exam and contacts. I got a trial pair and called back 4 times to let them know they were not working but received no call back. Eventually had to go somewhere else and pay for another exam. They don’t care about their patients.

Dr. Lara is fantastic. He is patient, caring and kind. He takes the time you need to get all of your questions answered and his staff are fantastic.

My review is solely based off of Dr. GIl Epsetin, he is the absolute best. The staff was excellent as well but he was just amazing!

I was sent to them twice by the optometrist. I guessed they have great relationship but boy, how much I regret listening to him! I was left in the waiting room for over an hour each time! And the Doctor just plainly doesn’t care! Who am I? A dollar sign to him, nothing but. The scheduling system is horrible, to say the least!

I was referred to Dr. Natalia Villate for a retinal consult and waited 2 hours to see her. I was diagnosed with a chronic retinal detachment but was told that I did not need surgery quite yet. I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and wanted to get a second opinion. I went in Wednesday morning at opening to give the office a release form of medical records. It has been two days and the office still has not faxed the records to the doctor’s office in Indianapolis. The doctor’s office has personally called asking for the records along with several phone calls from me. The office staff is rude and incompetent of doing their jobs. I am visiting tomorrow to ask for my records in person to fax them myself.

Excellent service, Dr. Fernandez de Castro is a phenomenal doctor, with excellent bedside manner and very knowledgeable. He and his personell explained my procedure very clearly and answered all my questions patiently. I highly recommend this place but I recommend even more Dr. Fernandez de Castro.

Sandra Diaz (my sister) came from Tampa, Fl.to see Dr. Tirso Lara. Great doctor explains your condition like not doctor before. He is very professional, extremely knowledgeable and has a charm to him.

Dr. Skolnick is the best and is all way book but when I had and emergency could hardly see because of diabetes, that is now better thank you so much he made me laughed when he said now you will be seeing 20/20 now.

Dr. Epstein and his staff are amazing. They respect their patients. Dr. Epstein was able to correct a problem with results beyond my expectations. Another highly respected ophthalmologist said Dr. Epstein was the only doctor I should use for my problem and he was right. Dr. Epstein is an outstanding professional.

Dr. Skolnick and Dr Burgues are excellent doctors. Very happy to be a patient in a caring eye institute. Patient for life!

They scam insurance companies. Paid my copayment and then received an additional 500$ bill. There are plenty of other specialist eye doctors. Go see them

Was very unhappy with the office, the way it is run. I was requested to make a payment upon arrival as I had a deductible, no problem with that. I saw the doctor, very nice, but upon check-out, I was charged an additional $45.00 and was told this was to get my prescription for my glasses. This is absolutely ridiculous. Will not be going back there.
