I feel compelled to share my incredible experience with Dr. Wells, so other people are made aware of this exceptional physician and person. I was in need of a new orthopedist and was extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Wells. He has a wonderful personality and sense of humor, which has put me at ease and has made all of my visits an enjoyable experience. I have seen him over the past year for several different issues. He is very knowledgeable, takes a complete history, conducts a thorough exam, and listens attentively to my concerns. He explained my conditions and treatment options and provided education that I am confident will help me prevent some future injuries. It was evident that he genuinely cared about my well-being. My most recent ailment was a partial tendon tear, which Dr. Wells healed with an injection. Besides his technical prowess, I find his calm demeanor and humor to also be very therapeutic. I have experienced my fair share of sports-related injuries and subsequent orthopedic treatment over the years. The aforementioned characteristics are just some of the qualities that set Dr. Wells apart as a healthcare professional. In addition, the office atmosphere is warm and welcoming. His entire staff is personable, attentive, and efficient, which has also contributed to enjoyable visits. My physical fitness means everything to me and I am currently functioning at 100% because of Dr. Wells. I cannot thank him enough and it is reassuring to know that I have an amazing orthopedist to turn to if future issues arise. I will never see anyone else. I can think of nothing more debilitating than an orthopedic injury and the pain that accompanies it. A simple fall has the capability of derailing the flow of everyday life, compromising one’s ability to work and provide for oneself and family, not to mention the fear and concern when an accurate, timely diagnosis is delayed.
There is nothing more reassuring than having an Orthopedic Surgeon who is affiliated with a “walk-in” orthopedic urgent care facility.
When I recently fell and was in excruciating pain, my greatest fear was that I had broken my hip and that in order to get care I’d have to go to a hospital emergency room saddled with hours of waiting accompanied by exorbitant charges for their services.
To my great fortune, Dr. Wells, my orthopedic surgeon, is associated with the Fort Lauderdale Orthopedic Center and “Walk In” Clinic. I was able to limp in to the walk in clinic and be seen immediately by a PA who ordered X-rays and reviewed my chart from a previous doctor’s visit.
The staff was so thoughtful and professional that once my X-rays were taken they determined it was best for me to see Dr. Wells who was seeing patients with scheduled appointments next door to the walk-in clinic. The staff moved me over to be seen by him in the interest of continuity of care. I was able to see Dr. Wells almost immediately and was relieved to know that my hip was not fractured, but that there were issues that could be addressed with PT, at home icing and a follow up visit.
Dr. Wells took the time to explain the exact injury I sustained from my fall and why it was causing difficulty with ambulating as well as the pain that accompanied the fall.
Dr. Wells was incredibly patient and took the time to make sure I understood what had happened as well as what needed to happen for a full recovery. He made sure to ask me if I had any unanswered questions and did not wrap the appointment up until he was satisfied that my needs had been met, questions answered and a treatment plan provided that addressed all aspects of care necessary for a full recovery.
I am so grateful to have Dr. Wells and his team providing me with the care I need when I have an orthopedic emergency. It is so reassuring to know that most all of my needs can be addressed in one physical location and that I will leave his office having received the most compassionate, efficient and professional care. I highly recommend Dr. Wells and his staff if you are in need of orthopedic care.
