We had a great time overall. However, when we asked for more towels and linen, we were ignored. The next day of our stay, I had to go to the front desk to request the towels and linen. The front desk said they would bring them up. After an hour, I had to go back to the desk and get them, they told at this visit to come back to the desk in a few hours, and I would have them. Also, they advertise hairdryers and my room didn't have one. Other than this issue, the hotel was good and great location.

Very disappointed in this Marriott hotel. The only perk was the direct access to the beach. The hotel is older and outdated, rooms were not clean. The bath/shower was stained and looked unclean. When booking it asks if you want housekeeping services, and I did. They reported they were short staffed which I understood but they didn’t even come one time our whole 5 day stay. They left 2-3 towels while we had 4 people in the room and it took quite an effort to get any more. We would have to go find the housekeeping carts to get towels, toilet paper, coffee, trash bags, etc. We stayed on the lower level with a patio to the courtyard. They have locks on the patio doors but you have no key to it. So if you want your room locked when you’re away, you have to go out the front and all the way around the block of rooms to get back to the courtyard…. Defeating the patio access to the courtyard. Weird setup.

Horrible experience. Short story: Didn’t give us the king bed we booked, didn’t tell me until after I checked in and saw it wasn’t the right room, instead they gave us two double beds and the other bed was broken half way on the floor. Only one towel in the bathroom (and of course we didn’t realize until after we’re in the shower, not ideal), tv had broken spot in it, remote to tv didn’t work at all, customer service not good.

Long Story: I go to check in and go to my room and see it’s 2 doubles? Not what we booked. No big deal. I go down to the receptionist and tell her that she put us in the wrong room she says “yeah, we overbooked king beds” when I asked for a partial refund she says “no because it’s basically the same” it’s Mother’s Day weekend so all of Destin is booked and we drove 8 hours. The other small bed in the room was literally broken, the frame underneath it was broken so if you get in on one side it literally went to the floor lol.so couldn’t sleep on it. So No other choice than be uncomfortable with my 6’2 husband in a small bed. The whole ordeal was just unprofessional. At least call me or email me and tell me that my room is no longer available or bare minimum tell me at check in? They were just hoping I forgot what I booked, I supposed? And if you give us another room make sure it’s ready? Working remote? Towels? A bed that’s not broken? I’m not the one to write reviews but wow. Worst because no compensation was given.it was just “oh well too bad”

You can’t really tell from the photo but the bed would completely move if you got on it. You can see with no one on it how it’s dipping into the floor because it’s not correctly on the frame below

Here until Sunday unfortunately

Think twice before staying here…rooms never get cleaned…disgusting doesn’t even begin to explain bathroom in parking garage…. A porta potty would be cleaner.

Marriott needs to seriously invest money in this out dated property or consider unloading from inventory.

We booked weeks in advance through Capital One Travel and after our 6 hour drive we were told they did not receive our reservation and that they were overbooked. Upon speaking to capital one and the third part hopper we were given the name of the individual at the hotel that did not confirm our reservation. All other hotels in the area were already sold out. After searching for hours for somewhere to the stay for the night we had to drive the 6 hours back home. While searching we ran into 2 other families going hotel to hotel with the same story about Four Points by Sheraton booking through Expedia and other travel websites. This was a Four Points issue not a booking issue. There were also several people in the lobby asking about towels and were told that “laundry was behind” and that it would be a while before any towels were available.

Just like many older beach establishments, it's showing it's age. The bed was comfortable but the AC was cantankerous sometimes I froze sometimes I was sweating. I liked the bar, my service was outstanding both times I sat and had three wings and a burger. Both bartenders took good care of the folks in there. Other than the mentioned issues, the service across the board was great. Everyone was friendly and ready with suggestions and answers.

Better Marriott brands down the road! Please save yourself the trouble of staying at this old and rundown hotel and don’t be fooled by the Sheraton line! The rooms are very dated, carpets are dirty, soiled and worn down. The lighting is so bad, there was two lamps in the main room and thats it, I think to hide all the blemishes and dirtiness of the room. Dirty bathroom, no wash clothes, no soap/bodywash, unpainted wall patches, door sticks when opening or closing, A/C is either cold and humid or warm and humid…basically always humid. Shower had hair in it when i checked in and would get bugs in the shower in the mornings. The amenities are old and basic. The fitness center has seen way better days, it’s dirty with mis-matched equipment and cardio equipment on it’s last legs. The bar staff was uninterested in guest experience and really seemed to hate their job. Payment system at the bar broke so cash or room charge only. Requested wash clothes for the room since they didn’t put any in the room when I checked in and the manager wouldn’t speak to me but had his young college-aged front desk receptionist tell me they don’t have clean ones and handed me full size bath towels to use as a wash cloth. If it wasn’t for the reception staff being so nice and understanding, this would’ve been a 1 star review.

It is located around a lot of restaurants and ships, close to the boardwalk and the by the beach with private access. Arielle at the front desk is awesome
and professional. There're two pools and a hot tub. We loved everything about this hotel. Definitely, will be back

The place is not living up to the name brand standard. The place is very old with no elevator, and built like a motel 6. The good part is it has very good access to the beach and decent facilities, although towels are gone by 12 and there are no replacements during the day. I would only suggest this to people on budgets and people with pets.

The only positive comment is that they must have hired the world’s best photographer to take their website photos. This place is rundown, dirty, and in desperate need of some remodeling.
We booked this hotel for a spring break vacation. When we drove into the parking lot, everyone commented how they hoped we were in the wrong location. Unfortunately, it was the correct hotel. We crossed our fingers and hoped we would open our hotel door to a hidden gem. Nope! We turned around, turned in our key and asked for them to cancel our reservation. Assuming this happens quite often since they immediately said no problem and the cancellation went through immediately.

Location is definitely great for this hotel. It's definitely easy access to the beach, and one of the limited hotels closer to the beach that has a government rate available during this time. However, the room I'm in smells really musky, and the door frame is completely broken. On my second day after a meeting on base, I had to call front desk because I was locked out of my room. When housekeeping came by that morning, that door latch swung and it locked the door from the inside. So someone had to come and break the frame even more (I just hope they fix it before the next customer). I made the mistake of walking on the carpet without sandals and/or shoes, and it felt really disgusting. It's sticky and needs some deep cleaning. It charges hotel parking even if you have a handicap tag (not even California does that). Breakfast is ok, but paying $19 for it isn't worth it. You can add $$ to get breakfasts included in your stay, but it's not even half of $19, so it raises the question of what the true value of breakfast is. I took one for the team to scope this place out for another meeting in May 2023, and I wouldn't recommend this place to my peers. There are better options for availing government rates, having a free decent breakfast, and still providing easy access to the beach.

This place needs some general maintenance. And it would be a lot nicer. You can't go wrong with the location as u can be at the beach in just a min from anywhere on the property. They charge an extra $5 a day to park ur car even when you rent the room.

Not impressed. House keeping walks in without knocking. When you try talking to them they act like they don't understand English. We did address this with the front desk and the manager just chuckled, so we stopped wasting our time trying to resolve the problems. We put a do not disturb sign on the door and they ignore it and come in anyways. We found them in our room twice after we put the sign on the door. We had money stolen. The hot tub was drained and out of order. One of the days we had no water in our room and when we did get it back the water was black, so we bought water bottles to brush our teeth and wash our hands. The bedding was stained with burn holes. They didn't leave Coffee cups or towels. We couldn't find towels anywhere by the pools. There was so much water that kept accumulating on top of the refrigerator. The front entry of the hotel was literally leaking water out of the light sockets. It was very unsafe. We couldn't rinse our feet off because all the rinse stations didn't work. It was a horrible stay and we felt very unsafe here. I wish I could post videos in this review because I have plenty.

This place is filthy. No towels. No soap. Nothing. Bare room. No housekeeping. No parking
Dirty filthy elevators. No shampoo no shower gel. Horrible customer service. Stay away.

UPDATE: Sewage pipe busted this morning in the parking lot and spewed sewage water everywhere, leaving my car in ankle deep water. Had to climb through back of rental car in order to avoid getting soaked with sewage.

Room was dirty (goldfish crackers) all on the floor. Spider webs in corners of the room. Bed quilt dirty like it hadn’t been washed. Coffee was bland and never was stocked with sufficient supplies. Towels at the pools were never stocked. Cost for food was outrageous and didn’t match the quality you were paying for. You have to pay for umbrella and chairs on their beachfront. I cannot believe it’s considered a Marriott.

This hotel needs help. I can't believe it is a Marriott property. If all you want is a view and don't care about much else you can book one of the beach view rooms. There was mold on the ceilings, dirty bed skirts, carpet is filthy, the doors do not seal. One of our rooms doors would not even shut without slamming it shut and still would not seal. The old antiquated phones in the rooms do not work. My kids felt things biting them. The shower is disgusting. The pool is also dirty with mold growing in the grout. I wish I could upload photos. We booked this property because it is a Marriott property, it's proximity to the airport, the pool and access to the beach. Propertied next door would be a better option. I would not stay here again.

Stayed here a few times. Second time in a suite. High floor (6’th) is better than #2. Good location, nice rooms however they do need a bit of updating to stay the course with surrounding properties/condos. No complaints. All in all my go-to place in Ft. Walton Beach.

My faith in the Marriott chain has been shaken after staying here. Normally, if there’s a Marriott, I will choose them because I know they generally have high standards on being well kept, clean, and staffed with professionals. That wasn’t the case this time. Prior to arrival, I made sure my travel agent put a note that I would be arriving in the morning following a redeye flight. I am not where the failure occurred, but the hotel was not aware and told me that I missed my check in. The problem is the manner in which the message was delivered. Mr. Hall was rude and dismissive. He did manage to arrange a room, but did not make me feel welcome at all. My room is next to a construction site, which is not the fault of the hotel. In general, the hotel is rundown. I did not get a room in the tower, so I cannot speak to the view. The bathrooms have been remodeled, but everything else is very old. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every door slam in the hallway, and you can hear every passerby talking in the parking lot. Breakfast costs extra. After one night, I checked out early. It was a pain, and I hope to save someone else the trouble.
