Fowler Firearms & Gun Range LLC, Fort Myers FL

BEWARE! My adult daughter and I went there on 12/28/22. Although it is a cheap place to shoot, I will never return because of the unsafe firearm handling practices of several customers that day. I don't know if the cheap price attracts inexperienced, unsafe shooters or if we were just incredibly unlucky to be surrounded by such an inept and dangerous assortment of novice shooters. Either way, there was absolutely no safety supervision on the lanes by staff. If there had been someone watching the shooters, they would have immediately realized the danger posed by some of their customers. There are seven lanes. The first three were occupied so we were assigned lane number four. At one point while my daughter was shooting, a shooter from lane one stepped back away from the line, turned ninety degrees toward the other lanes and was trying to rack his slide to clear a malfunction while pointing his pistol at everyone else on the line. Fortunately, a young woman in lane two quickly corrected him and he stepped back into his lane and out of sight. After this blatant safety violation, I kept an eye on the safety problem. A minute later, the reprobate in lane one lasered me a second time with his firearm. This caused me to quickly approach him and yell some curse words and other highly critical language at him. He sheepish uttered "okay. " But no, that is not the end of the afternoon. After the first problem vacated lane one, he was replaced by another miscreant who, judging from the sparks his ammo was producing down range, was using armor piercing ammunition. He even managed to shoot the ceiling and damage the range. Another shooter pointed out his inappropriate ammo to him and he left after a total of maybe ten minutes of shooting-weird. Then a couple in their twenties who could not seem to be able to figure out how to rack the slide on their pistol joined us in lanes six and seven. I couldn't see what hazards he was creating in lane seven, but she in lane six had her finger on the trigger as she tried to figure out how to put the magazine into her firearm. Yes, the price is cheap, but so is your life in this place. I have never seen so many flagrant safety violations in my life and I have trained with firearms several times a year, every year since 1995. Unfortunately, there is a real danger that someone will be injured in a place that allows unsafe novices to shoot without training or supervision.

I picked up my DP-12 shipped to Fowler Firearms with ease. They are quick, efficient, and friendly. Because of that, I bought extra accessories from them and spent a pretty penny. They run a good business. I enjoy their gun range, as they are well-maintained and decently priced.

The kind of small business I will always take pride in spending my money at. Not a single employee in there has their head up their arse. Great store, great range, great prices and amazing employees. Will be back

Their transfer fees are ridiculous! I made the mistake of just sending 4 transfers to this business without researching their fees.
MY FAULT 100%!
In Virginia where I just moved from, transfer fees are $25.00 PERIOD! 1 or however many. It is EASY, FREE money for a few minutes phone call, and filing paperwork that the customer fills out for them!
This place charged me $75.00 for the first one and $25.00 per each for the next 3.
ALL came from the same place!
AGAIN I repeat, 100% MY FAULT!
Don't make the mistake I made. Do your research!
There must be some reputable, reasonably priced alternatives out there.

This is great place to go for firearm practice, accessories, and Firearms. Super clean, organized, and stocked. Very friendly and professional staff. The gun range is great. All of the prices are super reasonable. Large selection of targets. Huge selection of firearms to rent. You'll have a great time here. I highly recommend Fowler to all my friends. I do not agree that they charge me a fee of 15 dollars for using my ammo, which were of better quality than the one they wanted to sell me at a ridiculous price. The Jung Guy had a very poor customer service we had to wait 45 minutes to shoot, very small the place, should let people know an estimated waiting time so people choose whether to wait or go to another place.

I like this place I took my concealed carry class here a few months back it was quick and easy and it came with a membership for the range. I wanted my wife to have a gun too so she went and got a Glock 19, took a while to come in but we got it and everyone there was professional.we used the range today you can shoot handguns and rifles and it’s a cool place

This is where you want to go if you want to get concealed training. Great, helpful, smart staff. No where better in the Fort Myers area.

Today noticed the range did get kind of smokey from a few weapons firing. Noticed inhaling quite a bit of burnt gunpowder. My friends eyes were so red.
Nice selection of weapons, all of the most popular. Every one of the staff is super knowledgeable about all aspects of guns.

Went here for the first time today with
my son, whom has been here before. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. The three gentleman working were super nice and provided excellent customer service. They answered all questions asked.

I’ve been to many shops in this area and never really had a bad experience but these guys were exceptional! From the moment I walked in until
the time I left I felt like I had known them for years and we were best of friends. I can’t say enough good things about Fowler Firearms, the owner and the team. Great group of guys, they have a nice selection of firearms, great prices and their customer service was stellar. I can’t recommend them enough!

Visited from England with my brother in law, the staff were great and we had a brilliant time, the staff showed us around the place and had us up and running pretty quickly, hopefully we will be back, cheers fellas

This gun range was the perfect place for me to receive my certification for my concealed gun permit. In just about half an hour and I was out the door with cerificate in hand. Thank you John for all the information you provided and inviting me to shop for a firearm with a discount.

Very pleasant interaction with absolute gun novices. A lot of time was taken to explain the weapons and I was supported on the range.
It was a very good stay!

I would rate them a ten star if I could people and service is great and the transfer fee for on line sale is not high when you consider you get ten free range tickets with that transaction I would highly recommend doing business with Fowlers Gun Range I’ve been going to Fowlers for Three year and will continue. I am confused by any negative review of this place. I’ve never touched a gun before, and I came here with my husband to shoot for the first time. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and took the rules seriously. I had a great experience and I’ll definitely be back.

Bought a gun online, went to pick it up and he charged $85.00 FFL transfer and fees. Extremely excessive. Fees weren't displayed online. At least Jesse James used the gun when he did a holdup.
