Freedom Boat Club - Tampa: Harbour Island

Austin and the crew at Freedom Harbor Island are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Excellent service in every way!

Dock staff great. The winter hours are horrible! 3 hours in the afternoon is not enough time to do anything. Hours for winter were always adjusted not sure why they did not happen this year but what a terrible idea to not change the time to make the morning and afternoon times equal. It used to be 8a-12p for am reservations and the 1-5p for pm reservations in the Winter. Right now it is 8a-1p in am and 2-5p in pm. Ridiculous

Love this location, near everything, boats are in great condition and Liz, Ryan, Gage, Austin and Garrett are awesome.

The Dockmaster Gibby was very helpful.he made my reservation and check-in/check-out process very easy.he is a real asset.

While the dock hands at this location are excellent, I would not recommend joining Freedom Boat Club. It's hard to get a boat as they've oversold memberships and they make it hard to cancel. Their website says to write a cancelation letter and include your membership number and reason for canceling. In reality you have to get a link to a form from the corporate office. The office ignored multiple emails and when we spoke to them over the phone gave us various email addresses to try. It wasn't until we text the dock hands, who got their local manager involved, we finally got a response. The dock mates are more professional than their executives. I would not do business with them.

Always great experience boating from the Tampa Harbour Island FBC location. The dockmasters, the Harbour Island FBC team, is fantastic: always welcoming, caring, professional, and efficient. Amazing experience! Took two boats out with the help of Cpt. Maggie and took off to Beer can / Fantasy Island where we saw some beautiful wild life and had a great time. Boats ran well & dock staff was swift and polite at Harbour island 8/16/23. Thank you!

These guys are top notch. I've been to many many freedom boat clubs. This has been the best so far. I have never seen a team so organized, United, and accommodating to us. They're just good people who want to make sure you're having fun.

These guys are awesome! We just got signed up. Capt. Ted did my onboarding training, he was amazing! His class was super helpful in teaching the rules of the road, how to operate a vessel and best practices of being a good boat club member. I highly recommend joining the club. very helpful and the boat was perfect. I highly recommend the freedom boat club to anyone. We have boated all around the United States, Canada and Europe on freedom boat club boats.

My husband and I love going out of Harbor Island. The crew is always fabulous and helps get us out quickly. Stephen is amazing and always makes our experience top tier.
