The staff will not update you on the status of a love one. Calling the center is horrible you're on hold for 20 to 30 minutes then get "disconnected" then it starts all over again. If they tell you they will call you back with information you ask for it won't be the same day or two.

Beware! My husband was there almost a year. If I didn't go every single day, things would of been alot worse.
I fed him, helped the aides, helped get him up, because they wouldn't do any physical therapy for him. I saw many things I didn't want to see. There were just a handful of nurses that cared, and aides.
If you're loved one is there be with him or her all the time!

My mom spent almost two weeks in this facility due to a brain injury that impaired the right side of her body. Let's start with the positives. All of the therapists I talked to and observed were great. My mom resisted most of the rehab, but they all did their best to work with her. They also did an excellent job keeping the family looped into her progress. A few individual aides and nurses were also attentive and helpful.
Unfortunately, the rest of my experience here was disappointing. Most of my questions were met with, "you need to go ask. " Very few people ever took ownership of my concerns, and I found myself constantly being punted to someone else. Worse, the person I was told to talk to was never around. They would point to an empty hallway or desk and ask me to wait or find someone. Even a simple question such as, "Did my mom eat breakfast this morning? " would be met with, "I don't know, I just came on duty, " and they would walk away.
I would often show up at noon and find my mom in her bed, completely dehydrated. A cup of water with a straw - with the paper still on the tip - would be beside her. Due to my mom's injury, she could not reach for the cup. The covered end meant my mom had not had any water all day. I would have to give her the water, and she would be so thankful.
My sister sent flowers in a vase of water. One day I arrived, and the vase was gone. Broken? Stolen? The flowers were lying on the nightstand. A day later, someone jammed them into a styrofoam cup.
My mom was kept on a catheter, and for two days in a row, I noticed blood in the line. My mom seemed uncomfortable, and we feared the catheter had been left in for too long and was causing an infection. The doctor ordered it removed, but it took days. The family had to escalate this issue. The nursing staff didn't seem to care.
The food was terrible. They would often put it beside my mom and then come back later once the food got cold. They would try to feed her, and she would resist. Or, worse, they would force her to eat when she was full. Many of the aides seemed very impatient with trying to feed her.
Some of the staff were shockingly rude as if my simple questions were a bother to them. When my mom was moved from the third floor to the second, I arrived the next day and asked if they had moved all of her refrigerated items, including her medication, and they told me to ask at the third-floor nursing desk. (I guess a phone call upstairs was too much work. Or getting up and checking the fridge behind them was a bother.) When I went to the third floor, the head nurse yelled at me for being on that floor because my mom had already been moved. I snapped back and explained I was sent here by the second-floor staff to see if they'd moved her medications. Spoiler alert - her medication hadn't been moved, despite her moving a day earlier.
Communication is a low point. For the first five days, I found myself repeating my mom's medical details and prescriptions to a different person. One person even asked me, "Do you know why we put your mom on a soft food diet? " How would I know? Don't they have centralized records to track these things?
Perhaps the facility is short-staffed, which explains the poor service. Due to her injury, my mom couldn't form complex sentences. But when we asked our mom if they were taking good care of her, she clearly stated, "no. " Repeatedly. Due to the poor care, compassion, and food, I cannot recommend this facility.

The Activity Director (Ashley Molina) is attentive, caring, empathetic, helpful and a great listener. I appreciate all of my nurses.

I want to report this place, they do not have the proper care at all. We found my grandfather with a broken hip and high fever. From one day to another. Nurses refused to have a translator for the family when we got there. They never report any accidents and they did not called 911. We had to go there, see him in that condition and called 911 ourselves. DO NOT GO to this horrible place. We just had a terrible experience with only 15 days of leaving my grandfather there.
