Full Sail University reviews
44Such a gorgeous campus. Makes me feel very grateful to be a student here at this school. Perfect place to be on your laptop or grab a snack and walk
Half way through And I really do enjoy Campus. I enjoyed the fairs we used to have and the hangout lounges we all had! I am in D. A. D (Digital Arts and Design, B. S of Science) and we are known to be the smallest group with crazy big roles. I admit, there are times where all the knowledge drains me since our breaks are minimal, but aside from that, I learn more about programs (Adobe and Cinema 4D) and I little to know clue about. I did hear of the lack of care in other degree programs which is unfortunate, but the Graphical side (GRD and DAD) doesn't get that treatment since we are what you see in move openings, commercials, Advertisements for brands, Cartoons, and so on. I do, however advise if you come to Full Sail (CAMPUS), to get a job AFTER you understand your schedule. E.g: DAD/GRD are morning birds and usually have classes in the early morning for 2 hours while the Musical side are owls and tend to have unnecessary long hours through the night. PLEASE ALSO KNOW, FULL SAIL ONLY CALLS AND RECOMMENDS JOBS FOR YOU, NOT GIVE THEM TO YOU! So please, when they begin to help you look for a job, don't expect one without trying. Show that portfolio and intern. To close off, the best experience is Campus because we are known for hands on, not virtual, though they're trying. Here are works I created when I attended!
The tour lady was awesome. She provided us a tons of information about the campus, labs, and everything else. Also, I got a good insight from a student working on shopping center.
Well, I tried full sail and I have to say that their game design and programming degree is an absolute waste of time, money, and effort. The school seems more concerned with over charging for classes that should be considered middle or high school level while teaching you nothing and trying to push socialistic and political agendas. And if you bring an incompetent teacher to the faculty and try to get the situation remedied or the instructor replaced with some one that actually knows the course material then you will be found in the wrong. Meanwhile, you will receive all sorts of political and 'causes' emails demanding that you join in and demonstrate/protest with them. Even if you opted out of all that junk to begin with. This is not an institute of higher learning, it's a diploma mill that isn't even regionally accredited. It's a money funnel, but if you have money to waste on a useless education that amounts to a hill of beans moldering in the sun, then this is the place for you.
This school as become a joke. Great campus and people but I am 3 months away from graduating and haven't learned jack. I also have a perfect GPA so i know it's not just me. They talk about how you're supposed to do more than just show up to class but I'm almost done and no one has explained HOW to get involved. This school has some of the worst communication I've ever seen completely ruining the experience for me and other students.
As a high-level, department head at this self-proclaimed “University” for over 15 years, here is what I can honestly say about them:
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Only join the online programs if you can teach yourself everything you need to learn to graduate as instructors will not help you even though that is what Full Sail sells.
No better than most, but no worse if you're smart. If you're a good social kid, and want to learn how to be some part of a mixed media enterprise.look no further. You'll do well. If you have big dreams, and aren't that social (like me), best go elsewhere. Full Sail can't process Bob Dylans.only Blake Sheltons.
Left with loads of debt and no real education. I would suggest attending a real school. This is a MONEY GRAB get that straight.
I’m currently an on campus student getting my degree in game art. If you plan on being an online student I suggest looking somewhere else. This school is pretty much strictly for networking. The very first day the teachers burn into your head! Connect! The classes are also very difficult so if you plan to join just to party I suggest going somewhere cheaper such as a community college. Your expected to learn very quickly for as every class is only a month long. The campus is really nice but the surrounding area is very sketchy. Good luck!
The school, curriculum and teaching staff is overall pretty awesome. But I feel like all of the funding goes into equipment and other things and not enough on staff needed in other areas. NO open labs, NO tutors available, hardly anyone ever to help with advising, financial aid, and tech support. We pay WAY too much money for the student resources to be so terrible.
Uhhh I just learned about this place and it looked great, but then I read the reviews.yikes. I don’t think I’ll be going here.
I don't attend this University but I have been to many events here & I have always had a total blast every time I have visited Full Sail Studios! 5/5 Stars!
I think the online students are getting ripped off. They don't do lectures. And it feels like the online students don't get the same help. What's the point of paying 54,000 dollars if I have to read everything online and do it by myself. Something just feels wrong here.
There are only a few instructors that you feel their passion for teaching.
No student advocacy, it's like going to school at Orange County Jail.
Grading rubric is close to black and white, pass or fail regardless of your effort.
Poor feedback from instructors when assignments are graded.
I advised Rebecca Carroll that I was thinking about withdrawing due to my experience and instead of reaching a resolution to keep a student in a for profit school, she quickly informed me of how to withdraw.
My step grandmother was a professor here and she took me to see the entire place. It was amazing. When I want to go here for college and get my game designers master's.
Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design. My instructors as well as the program director are passionate about the material they teach and embrace the students passion to dig deeper for information!
Full sail university is a scam. The tuition is outrageously high, leaving you in debt because of student loans. The instructors never give any helpful feedback on assignments, the student advisors are rude and disrespectful. You basically have to teach yourself and most classes you take do not relate to your degree. Would not recommend this school to anyone.
I hire student from full sail since 2000 until now.student graduating from there are less knowledgeable in all dept. Audio engineer, production, we highly recommend hiring someone not from this school, they student for the money spend are getting RIP off. Stay away too expensive and not knowledgeable in these two areas.

Just finished enrollment, and I can't be more excited. I worked with Jamie Offerdahl, who has impeccable customer service skills. She went above and beyond to answer each and every one of my many many questions in a timely manner. Great customer service! I can't wait to start!
