Gabose Korean BBQ reviews
20This restaurant is an amazing place with great quality food and customer service. The instructions that the employee gave were clear as well. The vibe around the restaurant was also nice and peaceful while we cooked our own food. Will return again
My friends and I had a great time at Gabose. Friendly staff and truly delicious food. Place is always clean and neat. If you are craving Korean BBQ I highly recommend it.
Delicious authentic Korean. Tofu soup and potato pancake were great. Also beef dolsot bibimbap.
Food was good but not memorable.
Sadly someone in our party ordered whatever #1 on the soup in the menu and had to pick out the bones from the chicken in the soup. Yikes…
Service was ok. The waiters come and go.
A random waiter came after the food was served was to tell us they’re closing soon but didn’t ask if we needed anything or if are food was good.
I did like the atmosphere until I was sat right under a leaky vent dripping water in my bowl. Echhh…
Food is authentic and delicious. Service and management are mediocre and impose a stupid policy of not seating you unless everyone in your group's present. The place itself is a bit dated and dingy.
Delicious! My 1st time eating Korean food (other then kimchi or BBQ) and the food was amazing.
So delicious! Worth the drive from Central FL every time!
Update: Just went again. Still worth the drive,
I asked for bone-in beef ribs. They gave me two beef flanks and the rest loose meat. The meat was tough to chew. It is not worth the price of almost $40. I am so disappointed.
Everything about this place is wonderful. The food, the staff… I very much enjoy this place. My favorite is the barbecue, because I can cook and enjoy the company at the same time. It’s an experience.
Great fun.
Great food.
Price point felt 10-20% too high, but I could be a cheapskate.
Service was super pleasant so I won't be cheap there.
Try the Korean beer!
American pop music playing was.well.lame.
No dessert offered?
Hmmmm.
Not a fancy place but the korean BBQ is one of the best in South Florida. Banchan (side dishes) are fresh and delicious. The downside of the most typical bbq is that after your meal, you are smelling bbq.:)
This place is amazing, worth the wait. Go have a snack at the sister restaurant while you wait.
Get the #9 stew kimchi soontofu
Charcoal grill with short rib and pork
You’re welcome:)
Super cute, super chill quiet little spot. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was great too!
Wow, it's really really good. I ordered beef kimchi.
Since this is an appetizer, rice was not served, so I added 2 more rice and paid $33. When I came to the hotel, they didn't give me a side dish, and my daughter and I had 2 rice and only meat.
** Continues to be a go-to restaurant as we really like the charcoal grilling. Our last visit there was by far the best - and the Seafood tofu soup is some of the tastiest we've had anywhere. The beef grilled up perfectly and we just thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly Recommended.
Open late and pretty conveniently located on hwy 441, this Korean Barbecue restaurant seems to be packed all the time but is worth any small wait.
They have a section for cooking over charcoal (warning - very hot) or an electric grill they place on your table. You get a wider variety of items to choose on the electric but miss out on the charcoal experience which can be a lot of fun.
Worth a stop and the same owners have a bar right behind the restaurant if you want to socialize even longer.
Edit: Went back after a number of years to try them out again. The Charcoal cooking was still good and I felt like the ingredients were even better than the last time. I'm not even sure I saw electric options as we walked through the BBQ area.
It’s Korean BBQ in South Florida. Good quality ingredients, but a hot plate instead of propane. Charcoal is available but we didn’t do it. Menu dependent on grill. Not AYCE.
Honestly, I’ll give this place 1 star because the food was okay and the chef has nothing to do with this review.
However, the service was TERRIBLE! I’ve prolonged going to a Korean bbq restaurant for a long time & I finally decided to try it since I’m a content creator who focuses on finding the best food places & thought the experience would be great.
But my server never even gave me an option for a stove top option which was the whole entire point of going & since it’s my first I wouldn’t know to ask, obviously. So I feel like my whole experience was robbed my the horrible service our server gave us. I almost felt like she didn’t even want to take care of us since she sent someone else to give us the receipt and never came back after placing our order.
I’ve been to Gabose for 10 years and never disappointed. They have options for me to cook my meat by myself or the kitchen made it. If I’m craving for some meat on charcoal or just too lazy to cook my own the meats always good and marinated well. Love this place!
Food is good, for what you can get in Miami. Service on the other end, is one of the worst.
Short staffed, no one came to order, ask for drinks, get us water etc.
They won’t sit you unless everyone is here, even you gonna order after you sit. They want to keep each party’s dining time short, if you are waiting for someone and just sitting there, you are wasting their time.
20% tip is mandatory even for party of 4.
We want to order more halfway during the meal and they “suggest” us don’t, again because it takes time and we are likely going to sit there and affect their table turns. Whether we are full/happy or not, they don’t care.
I feel sorry for people in Miami.
I absolutely love going here whenever I get the chance to go here because the food is always amazing and I have a fetish for their food and it’s always top-tier including the beer
