I've been a patient of Dr. Herlevich for almost 10 years and continue to be extremely pleased with her and the services of the Gainesville Family Eyecare office. Dr. Herlevich is always very thorough and kind, and she takes time to answer any questions I have. Recently after having difficulty with new lenses she was happy to do a recheck with me to reevaluate and fine-tune the prescription so things could be just right. David is especially patient and helpful with everything regarding frames, lenses and ordering, and they will even order different colors or sizes of frames they carry to try on before committing to purchase. Overall a very professional and personable experience with each encounter!

Gainesville Family Eyecare is great! I have been seeing Dr. Krol for many years and couldn’t be happier with the care I receive. I appreciate that they have Saturday appointments and stock plenty of contact lens. If they don’t have the strength and size you need, they order them in right away. Dr. Krol takes plenty of time during the appointment to address all questions and concerns you might have.

After many years seeing another optometrist in town, I made an appointment with Dr Krol when my other optometrist retired.
This was a fabulous experience. The office was super clean and the front desk people very courteous and professional. There was plenty of parking available as well. My wait time was less than 5 minutes. The doctor and staff were efficient and yet took time to be thorough in the exam and in answering questions.
They recommended a follow up as we were trying a new type of contact lens and there was no charge for this second visit which was a pleasant surprise.
Don’t look any further in your search for great eye care.

The best optometrist in Florida! They made paying for my daughter’s contact lenses quick and easy. Dr. Krol made sure to find my daughter the best brand of contacts, allowing her to try a wide variety before we bought a large quantity of them. When my daughter decided she also needed glasses, Dr. Krol made sure the frames she liked were special ordered. You absolutely cannot beat Gainesville Family Eye Care’s customer service!

Dr. Krol is fantastic! I switched from Pearle Vision and I’m never going to Pearle again! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Additionally, I get complimented on my new glasses daily. The quality of my frames and lenses are absolutely incredible. I recommend Gainesville Family Eye Care to everyone that needs glasses or contacts. David and Angela are also helpful anytime I have questions!

I have been going to Gainesville Family Eyecare for years and began bringing my children there when they began to need eye exams. They are personal and professional! I would not go anywhere else. Although I have moved, there are times I still call Dr. Krol to ask her advice and she is always available. Love this practice!

NOT a good experience. The lab did a terrible job, I spent triple the amount for lenses and glasses AND the eye exam (than elsewhere), and They would not re-do the eye exam when the glasses came back incorrect! I got a second opinion on the prescription and it proved to be different from Dr. Herlevich's prescription. I lost money and time going to Gainesville Family Eyecare and regret ever doing business with them.

After paying $150 for a comprehensive exam and refraction test, Dr. Krol refuses to give out pupillary distance (PD) measurement. This measurement is required to buy glasses online. It is unfortunate that some optometrists are still refusing to provide this information, as the FTC enforced Eyeglass Rule and Contact Lens Rule do not specifically require it yet.

I have been a patient of Dr. Krol for years. She has always been kind, caring and professional to me and my entire family. Dr. Krol is an expert in her field. The staff is also very helpful, knowledgeable and eager to help. Gainesville Family Eyecare is top notch! I would most certainly recommend them!

Dr Krol has been our family eye doctor for a number of years - and I can’t say enough about how much we appreciate her and her practice.
