Garlic & Ginger reviews
32Didn't like the taste of food. It tasted like imitation korean dish. Not going back. Spent 20 for food that was yucky and service was not great. Did not come to ask if everything was OK. I been to other korean restaurants and this has the worst tasting korean dish. I'll stick to the real korean restaurant.
We love Garlic and Ginger, some of the best dolsot bidambop in town! Also have tried the hot pot which was so good and way more food than we could eat in one go. We almost always have leftovers. The staff are so nice and helpful if you are not sure what to order. Soups, noodles, and rice dishes are all available. Also fresh hot tea! One of our favorite restaurants in Gainesville, I can't wait to bring out of town visitors!
Amazing variety of dishes, all authentic and so great for a large group. Highly recommend the appetizers, the portions are huge because they're intended to be shared.
Fail: terrible service they didnt put in my order or even make my food
Success: delicious food; unfortunately didn't get any that day: <
I made a call to order ahead of time to pick up the food for my friend's graduation (it suppose to be a surprise for her). She is a vegetarian and she really like their kimichi pancake (the appetizer). They didn't have that much vegetarian choices. So coming from South Carolina, I called around 3pm because I know I won't have network signal while driving down to Gainesville; plus it usually take them a while to make their food. The waiter who answered didn't believe a single word when I called as I was telling him that I was driving from South Carolina and needed to order kimichi pancake. He didn't know anything about the menu. He could have ask my phone number or something for addition confirmation. When i got there to get my food, I was really pissed when they did nothing.
I won't recommend this restaurant if the service was like this.
Very extensive menu of Korean dishes with well priced lunch specials and a very friendly staff.
Really enjoyed the spicy seafood soup i ordered here. My party also ordered a hot soup for two that was very good as well. The portions were very generous and the dishes included sides. Our server was very sweet and helpful. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!
This is the Best Korean food you’ll find in Gainesville. I always ask for my soup “911 spicy, ” and man do they deliver!
I strongly recommend the menu be more descriptive. I ordered noodles with vegetables. It was noodles, half boiled egg, a bit of shredded cucumber! With hot sauce and a thin slice of beef!
Guess what, it was a COLD Dish! Why not saying it in the menu
Why beef? And where are the other vegetables?
We paid extra for side of sautéed mushrooms
The service is amazing. The food is always fresh and hot. They strive to please no matter what. Friendly, fast and nice.
Authentic & flavorful! The little side dishes that came with the meal were unique and intriguing as well as tasty!
Been coming here a couple years, never disappoints for a good meal, especially with bigger groups
Food is great. Serving sizes are good for the money. Location is a little far away for students, but the drive is worth it!
