Gate Gas Station, Jacksonville FL

This gas station is convenient, clean, big, and pumps always work. I've had no issues here and there are plenty of security cameras. This isn't a gas station where people play loud music and loiter.

Good fuel and clean store. Who could ask for more? Good air pump / vaccuum. Took the short car wash today. Well worth it. My neice freaked out when a huge bug relieved itself on the windshield. Lol

Choice of fuels including "corn free" (non-ethanol) gas, convenient and clean!
There are now tamper resistant inspection tapes on the card readers at the pumps. Always check gas pump card readers for skimmers or other alterations for your financial safety. I verified with store personnel that they are legitimate.
A bit more confidence in a well run business.

Always easy to get a pump, working air and vac machines, can get early morning breakfast when I'm in a pinch.

I went to this gate gas station and the staff was nice and the place looked clean. The only problem I had was I got an icee 5 times from this location in the past 2 weeks and the blue always is not working. All the other flavors work and taste good.

Conveniently located. Number one gas station in the whole USA, and that is my opinion.
Gate Gas requires that you use their branded (cash deposit swipe plastic card) You keep and reuse the card. When you need gas, you come in with your issued card, hand it in to the cashier with your money in cash, the cashier fills your card with the equivalent amount you chose, she gives you a receipt, you go out and swipe your card, pump your gas and if there is a remaining balance it will be reflected and available digitally for your next gas purchase. Then there is the big reward for being a loyal customer, you get 3 cents per gallon discount on their already low priced gas. This particular station that I am reviewing is huge in size, well lit, has car wash, clean inside, well stocked, selection and friendly staff, add to all dad a selection of more than average fuel types compared to other brand stations: They have ethanol free marine fuel, diesel fuel, high premium, 87 octane and 89 octane. I could go on raving about Gate but enough said @

Friendly staff. I go there in the morning for coffee before work. The only complaint I have is the long light that always catches me entering the place.

Amazing staff and the manager Dee is amazing! Talked to a few of the staff, and it seems like they're all a big family. Love the vibe in the store, pretty good music playing too. Great selection, on par or sometimes better prices. If you have a sweet tooth, they almost always have deals on different candy bars.

The store was very clean customer service was decent got in and checked out quickly.
We're missing a couple things I needed. That's why the 4 stars.

They have ethanol free gas! Very clean and organized. The prices though are more expensive than the other stations around. I do wish they would put the ethanol free pumps by themselves. Today I had to wait 30min because both sides were blocked by lawn companies using the pumps next to them for the diesel.

I love this place. Very clean, always has available pumps due to plenty of parking for people that want to go inside

It's a clean gas station with clean bathrooms. Their prices are on par for what other gas stations charge Cato is a good place to get fuel

The prices at this gas station always seem to be a bit higher than other gas prices in the area. Not the best place to stop for gas if you're a student living on campus.

Got a new job in the area and needed a new gas station for the fill er up. Really this is my only option. I don’t feel like I’m about to get shot which is a plus

Went in store for assistance with AAA card that doesn't have barcode. Female clerk told me she would ask the manager how to process without barcode. Young male clerk let me know that my card must be old since he hasn't seen one like that and that I have to keep it updated. That's when I pointed out the fact that the card was issued 04/15/17 in which he replied "I don't have AAA". I kindly paid $10 got some gas & hauled asset. Just felt like it was an unnecessary conversation without any assistance.

Stopped to pick up a hot chocolate and a bag of chips. The facility, including the restroom was clean and the front stocked with everything you might need. Check out was a breeze and the employees were friendly.

During the Hurricane, they charged $27 for a $4 case of water. Illegal, unethical and entirely a decision made by the management of this particular store. Avoid.

These places have to be the cleanest gas stations in Jacksonville. How do they find all these people that are always upbeat and friendly? Not one person that works at these places is ever in a bad mood. Where did they find them? Love their "Best Bean" coffee as well!

Do not work here unless you get hired on as a store manager or higher. They treat their non store management staff like garbage! If you are looking for a way to pay the bills and have a living, do not work here as an assistant manager or red shirt associate. You are an expendable body to collect money, nothing more. Make your purchasing decisions based on how companies treat the associates on the bottom of the ladder!

I like a Gate gas station better than some of the others. They always have a great selection of food for a quick bite to eat. Friendly staff conveniently located and has a car wash.
