Gavins Ace Hardware, Cape Coral FL

I rented a carpet cleaner, when I got the cleaner I simply got it and left. When I returned it they looked inside (where is was clean because we cleaned it) he proceeded to flip it upside down!? And then say I didn’t clean the bottom so they are keeping my deposit!? I have rented one before and never experienced someone flipping it completely over. Not only that but who inspected that prior to me getting it to make sure it wasn’t there prior!? I come here because it’s convenient, right next to my house. But the extra 5 mins to Home Depot is worth the better service. I have NEVER been charged a deposit before. That is RIDICULOUS!

I needed a tripper pin for my Intermatic pool timer and search the web for locations in Cape Coral that carried the part. The search said that this store had the part as well as Home Depot so I stopped in since I was driving past the store. The old guy that I talked to said matter of factly that they wouldn't carry something like that and that I had to go to a pool supply store to get it. It seemed to me that he just didn't know where to find the part.

They were very helpful I needed a fuse and they didn't have it in the store so they took it upon themselves to order me one they were awesome

Came in looking for an elbow for a gas stove n was referred to 3 employees before someone (customer) told me where to find it. Then I needed a sink holder n lo n behold, no one knew what I was talking about.
Second n last time I come here.
I told the cashier that the employees were clueless n she replied “that’s none of my business”!

Horrible customer service. Had an issue with my card and because I had no signal inside the store because that store completely blocks cell phone service I had to go outside to wait for my transfer on my debit card to go through. Everything that I needed had already been picked out cut and put in the bag which was a pipe that I needed in order for me to have water. As soon as the transfer went through even though the cashier knew what I was waiting on and saw me waiting he locked the door and refused to let me back in saying they were closed even though I was already there before they closed and he knew exactly what I was waiting on and said it was okay he refused to simply finish the transaction while all the stuff that I needed was sitting right there bagged up. When I told him that I needed the pipe in order to have water at my home he told me to come back tomorrow. I will never ever go to this location again this was absolutely abominable

Update: Went to Lowes because they were still open, and ended up spending less than what I would have paid here AND had great customer service!

The store refused to give me my money back on a return with the receipt but rather gave me a store credit. Their signage posted in the store states "full refund with receipt" and says nothing about 90 days. I am a reward member and have spent over $1000 in this store this year. Once I use the store credit, provided I don't loose it, I'll find another hardware store to do business. This store assumes loyalty rather than earning it with quality product and superior service.

Amazing service! Walked in and everyone welcomed us! Did and an online order they knew what it was and had it on a cart waiting for us and even helped us load it! Will definitely go back!

I needed some hardware to mount a tag on a new trailer I bought. With the help of an associate I purchased two bolts and two nuts close to closing time. When I exited the store I realized one of the nuts the associate gave me was one size to big. I went back and the door was locked. The employees would not open the door and exchange the bolt for me. They just made excuses and refused to open the door even though the mistake was theirs and all I needed was to exchange the bolt for a correct size one. I will NEVER shop at Ace Hardware EVER again.

Better off going through Amazon. Sadly this place never have any of the items I am looking for and terrible customer service.
