5 Disappointing that they will charge you for a technician home appointment even if that advice you are given is incorrect. They charge for the visit not the information that's given to you, even if the information is incorrect. My neighbor ended up fixing my issue. Paid for

I love the geek squad at Best Buy in Jensen Beach, FL. I called and made an appointment. Only a brief wait & they immediately resolved an issue with my gaming PC & accessories. I recommend the membership.
This installer by the name of Tyler Radabaugh is super rude and he tried to scam money from me for installation even if though I am total tech member.
Please try to avoid this store.

I went to Best Buy / Geek squad after calling them to see if they provide service for my HP laptop. On the phone, sure, yes. I arrived, lap in hand and described the issue. You need an appointment, I was told. I came back with an appointment and described the issue, again. "Oh, we have to send it out to HP". Could have done that yesterday. They tried to set it up for service "Oh, do you have a geek squad warranty? " No, no one mentioned that. After trying to set up my laptop to be sent out ($85), I was told, we can't send it out UNLESS YOU HAVE A GEEK SQUAD WARRANTY. My money is no good? Sorry. Better luck next time. Wasted three hours of travel time in traffic, gas, etc.

I arrived and checked in for my 3: 20 appointment at 3: 04 and was directed to sit down. My case was a simple Apple Care transaction. At 3: 45, after no one acknowledged me in the ensuing 41 minutes I got back in line. The tech at that point took one look at my device and told me I would have to go to Apple directly. 41 minutes of my life wasted with zero help, customer service, or pro-activity.
