UPDATE! 3 months forward.

As of today this is my latest experience with his office manager Sandra Baras.very unprofessional and and speaks to patients in a condensing manner. This is the message in Spanish I sent to Dr Baras to his cell phone.

Dr Baras! Forgive me for sending you a message on your cell phone. It has not been possible for me to fill out the paper for the DMV because her office manager has told me that I am from here to here, that she is following protocols that are not customary in her office and that I did not have an electro test done. The paper should have been delivered yesterday (I sent them all the correspondence that DMV sent me so they could see that I was not lying. I had an appointment last Thursday thinking that I had time to deliver all the papers before the 30th. On Thursday they told me that At the end of the day. I DID NOT GET ANYTHING! I had to call on Friday.they sent me the paper but it was not complete. Anyway, I went to the DMV on Saturday when I had an appointment to deliver the papers and they told me they were incomplete because they were missing his signature. The lady from the DMV helped me and filled out what I had to put.
I sent the papers to Mayte yesterday and she told me that the office manager lis had to see. They didn't call me, today I have called them more than 5 times to finish this and be able to send the papers because if not they will suspend my license. Sandra called me and told me that she couldn't sign the papers, after she explained to me and I explained to myself and back and forth and back and forth.first she told me that she was going to sign it and then she told me no because she didn't have a recent electro. I told him you didn't ask for it. He told me to come today, that it was already 4: 30 to do the electro or else he wouldn't sign the paper. Starting tomorrow I don't have a driver's license because of Sandra Baras who complicated my life, due to her ignorance!

INCREDIBLE THAT AN EXCELLENT DOCTOR LIKE YOU DOESN'T HAVE THE PEOPLE WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THE TESTS THEY ASK FOR AND MAKE SO MANY OBSTRUCTIONS.

Thank you for having treated me so well in all this time that I had you as a doctor!

Excellent doctor and amazing staff! I was waited on quickly and Dr. Baras took his time with us explaining everything thoroughly. Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner!

New patients beware! Today I contacted this office as a new patient to schedule an appointment with this neurologist, based on his outstanding reviews. The receptionist advised the practice REQUIRES for the new patients to bring in their previous neurologist’s records to the appointment. I explained my neurologist has retired, I’ve searched his license, his corporations registration & attempted to call all numbers for his previous practice (which are now disconnected) to no avail as the neurologist has retired so I am unable to bring the paperwork. The person said if I don’t have the records I cannot make an appointment. How is this is acceptable? A doctor won’t see a new patient because they don’t have their previous doctor’s paperwork. This is the most absurd and outrageous policy I have ever encountered in the medical field.

Response to your response:

The statement “because your previous doctor retired we tried to work with you and we then asked for your primary doctors last note or records” is a blatant lie. My primary is not my neurologist and he does not have the neurologist’s paperwork. Further, at no point did your office ask who was my primary, she only asked for the name of the neurologist which I clearly gave her. I explained more than once to your receptionist the only item I may have is a disc with my MRI to which she gave the sarcastic response “we don’t accept a disc we only accept records” implying documents. I asked and explained politely more than once there is no feasible and ethical way to retrieve the records as the office is closed, phone numbers are disconnected, business license is in active and medical license provided no affiliation with any hospital. It was a private practice. The only thing left is to attempt to locate the doctor’s personal information through public records which is outright wrong. This policy of not accepting a new patient because you require a previous neurologist’s records is absurd. Normally a doctor who does not have the previous doctor’s records will simply start from 0, meaning they will start from the beginning to verify and give the diagnosis. Something all doctors, except this practice, will want to do is run tests to confirm diagnosis unbiased to whether the previous doctor’s records are available or not. I highly doubt the medical code of ethics would agree with such a policy. Thankfully there are great neurologists (amongst many other doctors) in Florida who do care about their profession and the people who are seeking help which will not turn patients away because they do not have previous records. Miamians should all know the practices of this inconsiderate office before seeking any care from them. I humbly suggest rather than being defensive or lying in response to those who write unfavorable reviews a better practice for any business is to apologize and if possible, offer other solutions.

Good professional care, the doctor has been treating my mother for about 3 years and I have no complaints, and the girls are very friendly.

Disappointing experience.
Arrived for my 9 AM appointment to find out, 20 minutes later, the office wasn’t open today.
My doctors office, who are amazing, called an alternative number and spoke to a staff member that said “they were closed today” and they had tried to reach me! Not only do I not have their number in my phone record but there was no voicemails and no text messages.
I was offered a new appointment in four weeks and, no apology for today.
I think I’ll give this place a miss!

Health tech seems friendly but I told her to recheck my blood pressure bcuz it high and she doesn't even care to do so.the Dr.seems nice but I she lack iniative and plan. I have numbness and tingling sensation in my hands but just bcuz the MRI result shows nothing she just told that there's nothing wrong w/ me.what the heck! I'm the one suggesting if I needed PT/OT and suggesting whats medications that I might needed! She cannot hardly express fluently in english whats going on. Maybe she's a 5 star if you're spanish speaking but if u don't spanish don't waste your time going in her office. The parking is horrible too! Goodluck finding a parking spot!

Excellent in every way! Excellent Dr! I like seeing Dr. Baras because he doesn't rush through the visits, he takes as much time as necessary and the way he explains everything makes everything easier to understand and it is very appreciated that he explains everything as it should be.

Dr Baras's assistants are also excellent! The treatment they give you is great and super friendly. They always answer the phone pretty quickly and have easy parking at the Biscayne office.
