German Deli/Jägerstüble reviews
17My family and I lived in Germany, so our expectations were high. The food, the atmosphere, and the service-all exceeded our expectations! Jagerstube was authentic!
Very authentic and very good. The food reminded me of what my Oma used to make. They have the best selection of German beer as well. Reservations are highly recommended. Sauerbraten, currywurst, rotkohl, obatzda, Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte, and so much more. If you love Swabian/Bavarian cuisine, you need to eat here.
If you are from Southern Germany (Schwobaländle) and know good quality German food please don't bother, you will be disappointed. I had the Rouladen here a few years ago which were good, but the "Jägerschnitzel" I had this weekend was a bit of a let-down: pounded so thin you could read a newspaper under it and overly salted to the point I could not tell whether I was eating meat at all. The Spätzle were just sadness - apparently cooked some time ago and kept warm, therefore dry and rubber like. The side vegetable was some kind of carrot, cooked to death in some mystery cream concoction. One bite and I was done.
While only the deli was open, it was great. Picked up some brats and other goodies. Employee was super friendly while we took a while to look around and decide.
It's like going back to my childhood and the German food of my grandparents. Great food.
Excellent experience from start to finish - all the dishes were authentic and delicious, and our server, Chaz, was attentive, professional, and super friendly - best service ever. It really felt like eating in someone’s home, warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to eat here again, and we’ll definitely get the Black Forest cake the next time!
I was ecstatic to find this deli nearby. Growing up with German grandparents I have very particular tastes about German food and this place has never missed. The deli has an amazing selection. And the cakes are EXACTLY like my Bavarian great grandma would make. Highly highly recommend
Great selection of meats and cheeses. I got one of the salamis, the whisky Gouda, speck, and schnitzel. Have not been disappointed by any of them. Great bread too!
Another 5 star review. But seriously though food is amazingggg. They are super nice. Good beer. Great food. So full.
Amazing authentic food. The waiter was really nice and had a good sense of humor. Loved the ambience. Came in with a really bad mood and instantly felt better when I came in here. Definitely will come back soon
We dine here whenever we’re back in town. When we lived nearby, we ate here a few times a month. They serve absolutely delicious German food and we love the family atmosphere. The service has always been great. Make sure you book a reservation since it’s a small dining room and leave room for dessert and coffee!
Everything about this place was perfect, the music, the decor, the food, the staff, the German! I cannot wait to return here again soon! I am so glad I chose to come here for my birthday because it was perfect! I felt like I was back in Germany enjoying every taste, smell, and sound! I will be back soon and highly recommend this to everyone who appreciates great German food and culture! Thank you to the staff for making this so enjoyable!
Delicious food. Would be nice to see more variety but it is also good to have a well honed small menu that you can nail each and every time. Haven't been disappointed yet.
Best German food you will ever eat.you will never find better food.
The Waiters there are Perfect. Speak German. If go there don't even asked for a Menu.

First Post-Don't go to this place if your respect yourself. Treat you like trash and like it is a privilege to get served and eat there. Reminds me of place that needs to be closed and turned into a good restaurant. I got bit by the owners Doberman pincher and he laughed, and again worst service ever. Chaz. Food is marginal, but you are lucky if they say hello when you walk in the door and lucky to get you a menu. Save your money and go to another Germen food place where they appreciate and respect business. Should have code enforcement called on them for allowing dogs to be inside the restaurant and harass people. See the picture of the dog and rude owner. Hope they close and go back to Germany. Uber Alles is their mindset!
Second Post-I guess the owner wrote me back about my post and said the man in the pic is not the owner? Even when we were told by the server CHAZ the man pictured with the dog was a part owner? And that is why he can have his mean dog inside with small children walking around. My son's are 3 and 5. The owner also claims this is a service dog? Maybe in Germany during WW2. This dog does not have any papers, or a service dog demeanor, or a service dog harness. Nice try! Everyone claims to have a service dog for emotional therapy. The fact is, the dog did bite me and the service you provide is sub par. Those are facts. Disrespectful is all I can say. I hope the best to you!
Extremely overpriced. 72 dollars for two people to eat. The menu is very unclear and so is the pricing. The actual prices weren't reflected on the photos of the menu. I also basically paid for a dish I'm allergic to, because without understanding German, it was hard to know what is in each dish. So now I'm looking for something else to eat for dinner.
