Glossy 130 Nails & Spa, Palm Harbor FL

First time getting my nails done and I did the gel. I was quoted a different price on the phone for a fill-in and was charged $30 over that price, hence leavng 4 stars.

2 for pedis, much higher for nails if you can get in with Cherry. This place used to be great, but the quality has really gone down. Given them a ton of chances mostly because I really used to like it and I like the manager, Steve. But the last two times have been the worst, with the person literally just wiping the lotion around instead of giving a proper massage; making me feel like a bother; and this time she changed the color to something else because she didn’t like the brush on the other color, she complained about the shape of my nails-when she was the one who did them last time, and then showed me the stuff she got off my heels as if she was admonishing me. That’s because you skipped that part last time, “Linda”. Times are tight right now, and I’m not paying $55 plus tip for this anymore.

I used to love this place, but they have become so inconsistent. Awful manicure. Not only did they do something I didn’t want, it was so sloppy!

I am SUPER Picky about my nails and I love this place! Steve and Shannon the owners are super friendly and knowledgable. Any type of design I come up with I walk out loving my nails. Highly recommend scheduling an appointment during busy times though as there may be a wait as with any salon!

Nice nail salon/spa located in a Plaza with a sub shop, a sushi and other restaurants and professional services, no retail shops except for Red Wing shoes. Glossy is a nice salon, clean with several service stations for nails and pedicures, and massage. Staff is always friendly and cordial and the service is very good. Would have given 5 stars except the front waiting area is very small and cramped with only 2 chairs covered in some type of slip cover that slides all over when you sit in them, may be there for Covid safety, not sure. Also.there is no step up assistance for the pedicure stations and the seats are very high and difficult to get into for older persons, and could be for overweight persons as well. The front desk female assistants are always great over the years, very friendly and helpful, however, the guy that was there this time, not sure if he is the owner.or manager or an assistant, is kind of hyper, almost overbearing and comes across as a bit arrogant.
We have been going to Glossy for several years and the ladies there do a great job on manis and pedis, so I hope they are treated kindly.

Very unhappy with the nails. I asked for the newer French manicure with the lighter base and white and came out with nails as thick as toenails, it looked like the old French manicure with the thick pink base and wide white tips, also the nails were too wide on some of my fingers. When I selected the base shade I wanted the technician said it was too sheer which is what I wanted for the newer fresher look so she picked a base. I should have asked for a re do then, but didn't have time, so I don't see myself going back there. I also agree with the review that they ask up front for cash tips, as I use a card and give a good tip. It makes me feel like something is "off" for the technicians there.which, once again goes back to management. I get the same vibes every time.

The owner and employees are great! When i have a question, the owner pulls me aside privately and treats me as if I'm the only customer. Every employee is extremely accommodating to every need! Everyone is friendly, and even though they are always busy, they seat my daughter & right away! My daughter was given a balloon + back massage chair while i got my nails done. I had a chip on my nail, and they told me to come back with no charge (anytime). They are also open late, which helps with my busy work schedule. I definitely recommend them! - Tracy

Went 3 times, pedi & once for waxing. Service was fine but what really turns me off is each time I got a pedi the tech would literally ask me did I bring cash for tip. VERY unprofessional to not only ask but to assume you're getting a tip. Of course I tip and tip well but I like using my debit card. I no longer go here.

I have been goi g here since they first opened and there is no place more relaxing than Glossy 130. They serve wine too!

Excellent pedicure, hot stones, massage, and wine. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good relaxing experience.

Terrible management. Today I waited over 45 minutes for an appointment that was scheduled. Was continuously informed it would be “5 more minutes. ” Was not offered water or any beverage. I finally walked out after not getting an update and received no phone call after I left. Was a frequent customer for almost a year and a VERY good tipper. Very disappointed.

Everyone on staff is always nice. Ask for Cherry or Shannon for great nails. Typically around $60 for a fill with up charges.

For $40 you get a deluxe pedi with stone massage and wine. A great leg and foot massage. It’s a great experience!

The atmosphere of the place is very pleasant and inviting. Jennifer gave me a mani and pedi and she was wonderful. I would differently go back.

My nails where not cured properly. I was left with sticky residue and peeling polish, and half of one of my nails not even polished. I usually have good experiences here but the last 2 times I have been extremely disappointed in the results of my nails. Some of the employees don’t seem to know what they are doing, and should be checked on. I payed almost $70 for unfinished nails. A child can do better. I felt rushed and it was overall not an enjoyable experience and result. Again, I think you should be careful with who you hire and should keep an eye out on employees.
