Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, Fort Walton Beach FL

Golden Corral in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Their systems were down, and we waited 20 minutes. We asked if we could pay cash, they said no. Then they were on phone with the manager, we heard the one on phone say "take cash from them", but they still didn't. Twenty people left. No apologies, or discount offered. In fact, the man couldn't figure out the amount for the 3 of us. My son had to show him. Totally unprofessional staff. Will not go here again, and I will tell everyone about this.

Computer system went down, so they couldn’t process payments. We offered to pay cash that would cover the tax, but they refused saying that wasn’t possible because then our server wouldn’t know our drink order. We suggested a post-it note that was on the counter, but they wouldn’t do that.

One would think that a manager could come up with a contingency plan for something like this, but I guess they’d rather have dozens of people turn around instead.

We overheard someone they were speaking to on the phone tell them to take cash, but it still took over 15mins before the manager mentioned he was willing to do that.

I’m normally a very patient person, but when things are avoidably inefficient, it’s frustrating.

I think the manager on duty could use some remedial training.

I was pleasantly surprised eating here. Having gone to the one in Pensacola, this was pretty good. Plenty of food, tasted great, constant refills on drinks. Even the salad was good and I’m a picky salad eater. Couldn’t have asked for a better time.

Ate way too much. Rolled all the way out again. Man oh man did I eat a lot again. The food was delicious. Especially the steak delicious and well cooked.
Then worked in some desserts on the sweet side.
And there was someone else's “birthday” that was not the case. But there was fun singing and a cake was brought.

Always good. Very clean store and super friendly staff. Anthony, the manager, is amazing and keeps his store tip top love this place and Debbie the waitress is amazing

Not to sound like a commercial but. Have you ever looked at a menu and just wanted a bit of each entrée? Well, if you have.then Golden Corral is always a good decision. The buffet choices are amazing, especially for the price.
The pot roast at this location was delicious, add a couple of the fresh rolls.soooo tasty.

Yummy 11AM visit strawberry waffle, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage link, brat, shrimp, green beans, pot roast, white potatoes, red potatoes, cheese grits, grits, fried okra, taco, hot apple pie, banana pudding, lemon meringue pie, soft ice cream.

The infront cashier, was a young man. Was very impolite and short with me, when I was asking about to go orders.

Always good and always fresh. The waiter are very nice every time as well. The only decent buffet around town.

Worst food ever, when you pay, you have to take your own plates to the table, underneath waitress station full of mold, waitresses using plastic dishwasher bin to collect plates and glasses from table, place smells like cleaning products but it’s not clean at all, it’s a shame that Golden Corral let get to this point… disappointingly the worst Golden a corral I’ve been.

Wow! The food was awesome. Great selection and HOT, just like it should be. There's something for almost everyone on this bar. The desert selection was also very good. The slushie machine was a hit with my kids.
The corner we sat in did have some sort of odor that could be smelled off and on but overall cleanliness was good.

Was not waited on.after fixing my first plate I had to go get my drink and utensils. Then I had to go get a refill on the drink.
All the while the people around me were waited on.
Then I had to go get a dessert plate myself.
I did not leave a tip because a tip was not earned.
On my way out of the door, I told the cashier about the service I didn't receive.
And I do plan to talk to the manager about it. Although I doubt it do any good.
Also what ever it was I ate left me so thirsty I could not get enough to drink.

I can't say much about this restaurant. My husband loves it. I just go along for the ride. The good thing about it is they don't add alot of salt anymore.

Great weekend breakfast buffet ($12.29 for Senior Citizens, including drink!). Breakfast served only on Sat/Sun from 7: 30-11: 00. Get in fast, choose what you want, enjoy delicious food, and have time and money left over to enjoy the rest of the day! Salad bar and some lunch items are also available, particularly if you arrive later in the morning.

We went in kind of late, and the staff was still nice to us as a party of 4 food was still fresh and hot.no complaints our waitress Bam was very gracious for her tip which felt a little low in my opinion because we kept drink full made sure we had plenty of room on the table.

Food was good and the staff was very hard working. Nicer store than my local store. Update, 3 years later the store is as nice as previously reviewed. Clean store with a wide variety and the service was great.

Visited 7/5/23 around 11am. Food was good, nice variety, really good prices, good experience overall. Clean restrooms. Most of the food has good flavor. We did go for breakfast but that’s only served on weekends.

It's was good we didn't have to wait. The food was so good and steak was cooked the way you wanted it. Service was on point our glasses were never empty

I'm so glad a new family took over and changed this place around. Its our go to spot for any occasion.
