Goodwill Manasota - Bargain Barn, Sarasota FL

Compared to other Goodwill outlets, this location is HORRIBLE. Whom ever is in charge needs a lesson it how other bins locations are run. Yesterday each bin was just full of total junk. Most should have been just dumped in the trash. I’ve gone 5 times since morning to Sarasota, and bought nothing. There was nothing worth buying. In Denver the space was twice as large and always filled with real gems, not dirty clothes and broken trash. Get with the program Manasota. I suggest these in charge watch You Tube bins videos. You can learn a lot.

If i could rate this place a negative i would, this place is ran by some very inconsiderate people, they clearly know nothing about running a business.i think its sad and pathetic when you can walk into a business and see the pure hatred in people, anything you go for people who are there act like they are entitled to things, there is one Hispanic guy that goes there with a bunch of tatoos who is extremely rude, i tried going for an item and he acted as if it was his or something, i can't be the only who feels this way.i thought this was supposed to be a place of business.i have no reason to even try and reach out to anyone because the way it looks it seems like they don't care.shame on this place! -5 stars!

Organized chaos. There are loads of bins that come out at various intervals. People wanting to make purchases from these bins dump bins. Sometimes there’s a little scuffle of people wanting the same piece of merchandise. At times they are not doing these table dives, and you can actually shop through and find, some thing you might like.

My first time here today and I'm in love with store they are very helpful and very nice staff if you look around very cheap now I found my new store

Crazy cheap and fun. Some aggressive people can be annoying but real bargains if you don’t mind a little grunge.

If I could rate it even less I would.these people clearly have no idea on how to run a business let alone play fair.
I've seen multiple times someone from the back hand people stuff and I feel it's very unfair to everyone else.there are alot of buyers and resellers that come to this place but to single out a curtain individual or individuals is beyond messed up.
I've been here a few times and seems like every time I come back there is a new foul play awaiting.they don't bring out enough stuff to go around unless it's for certain people.if you plan on coming to this place hope your ready for a ton of disappointment because they have alot of those to go around.

Love the bargain barn! Pick through bins of clothing, shoes, housewares, electronics, books and more. Sold by the pound before it goes to the landfill. Great bargains if you're willing to dig

I love this place. I come all the time.
The employees are super nice despite the loud and stressful environment.

I've never had "Haitians snatch things from my hands, " as another reviewer said. In fact, I see some of the same people weekly, and they are all polite and kind.

I've found some really cool stuff. You just have to take time to look for it. It can get kind of rowdy, sure. But some of yall just ain't built for the bins, I guess.

The customers are great people to also talk to. I try to give the customers top notch service every time. The customers are why I work there.

If you’re looking for fast fashion brands this is NOT the place to find treasures sadly. Clothes are from very old brands, and not vintage. Large sizes. Shoes are trash. Kitchen and home stuff, literally trash, no mugs, crystal decor, nothing like that. I come from Oregon, where’s a big thrift scene, and the bins down there are good! You can spend a whole day diving, but this one is not fun at all for millennials.

Standing in line. 12 carts and the manager can clearly see this, yet she does nothing to open a second register. The only cashier has to check out everyone and wait on the people at the counter. Better managers needed.

This place is an experience. You Will never know what you will find.
IMPORTANT there are rules so please follow them.
Prices are almost free. Items are weighed by the pound.

They had 4 cops surrounding an 80+ year old man today. On the counter sat a sad looking, very small string of Christmas lights

Came In looked around found a fridge sitting was $15 dollars picked it up put it in a cart, went to cash out and was told oh you can't buy it another customer said he wanted it.
So cashier went and found him still shopping brought him over and he said nope it's mine shoved cart in corner and left to do more shopping.
So if the guy left it and didn't pay for it and was gone for 15 minutes or more then says it's mine still doesn't pay for it and leaves again how is it his, I'm sorry you leave it someone else should be able to take it especially if you didn't pay for it and it's not marked sold.
That's ok I will never be back due to this action I understand about more shopping but shouldn't you pay for instead of leaving it. If I'm wrong ok but I'd have paid for it and taken it outside then came back in for more

Went on 12/21. The Caucasian female manager (SHORT BLONDE STRAIGHT BOB CUT) as always so RUDE. NEVER GREET CUSTOMERS. SHE HAD AN ATTITUDE. BECAUSE A CUSTOMER ASK TO BE RUNG AT REGISTER. WHAT HAPPEN TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHES ALWAYS MEAN & RUDE. WHERES COORP. SOCIAL SKILLS DISPLAYED. SHE MAKE CUSTOMERS UNCOMFORTABLE. HOPE IT GETS BETTER SOON.

I've been to the Sarasota Bargain Barn 6 times. There is a group of Haitians that hang around all day and grab things out of people's hands, push other customers, spend the entire time yelling at the top of their lungs, and all around make the bargain barn experience deplorable. Management does not care about their own employees, so as you can imagine they care even less about their customers so I just cut that place out completely. My wife, however, loves it there (I don't know why) so I'll give them two stars.

Thrifting and garage sales are dead but I'd rather attend the worst garage sale in town than spend one more minute at Goodwill's Bargain Barn. Avoid at all costs unless you want to pay Goodwill money to buy their garbage or you want to pick up a new strain of Covid-19 because clearly housekeeping is not a priority in that place.

Great place to get bargains at halfway decent prices. Some days are better than others it is a hit or miss. Staff is friendly.
