Gordos, Tallahassee FL

Great food. I have had an excellent meal here, but last night (Tuesday) I had a cold Cuban sandwich. It was not warm, but cold. I didn't say anything, I just ate half and warmed it up the next day. They are usually busy but it was the beginning of the week so it was okay. The rice and beans are to die for.

The service was terrible. We had about 4 servers pass by us for a total of 20 mins. Not one even acknowledged us. We left and went to a Colombian place down the street that was so much better!

Just stopped in for lunch. I've been away from Tallahassee for 5 years and Gordo's is just as incredible as it was when I left. The food is great, the service is greater. You really can't go wrong with a Cuban and some Gordo sauce.

It was yellow rice and a cut up chicken thigh. Tasted like it had been refrigerated from yesterday and reheated. Trash! Then this dish had the nerves to only come with one side like it was going to be so much food you didn't need 2. I will never return and definitely wouldn't recommend

Honestly the worst Cuban food I have ever had. First and definitely the last time. Everyone's food was cold and tasteless, my wife was super excited about coming here.so disappointed.

Food was delicious & service was on point. The server gave me vegan options to choose from which was super helpful. So glad we stopped in on our roadtrip. Will be back when we are back in the neighborhood.

I used to love this place but it’s gone downhill slowly. The last three times the food has been both cold AND burned, somehow. The papa rellenas are literally always burned. The service is usually terrible too. We will pass from now on unless there is a big change.

As a college student and an avid coffee-drinker, I was disappointed that a Cuban restaurant advertised coffee on the menu, but the waitress told us that they do not serve coffee at this location. Además, me cayó mal que nuestra mesera no hable español; es un restaurante cubano, ustedes deben emplear personas capacitadas que hablen ingles y español, de la comunidad local. Also, ditch the store-bought, individual flans and serve slices of one made from scatch. With that said, first time trying la ropa vieja and arroz congri, and they were good!

Waited 45 minutes for someone to come give us menus and acknowledge us, so I walked up to the hostess stand and told them we’d waiting and she said she hadn’t noticed us which was a lie because I counted 4 employees look at us and just walk away, and then the food was as bland as it gets. The decor and atmosphere is the only reason I give it more than 1 star.

Had a wonderful experience taking my grandma to Gordo’s. Our waitress, Andrea, was super kind and attentive the entire time. I appreciated that she also spoke Spanish making it easier for my grandma to order for herself. Give that girl a raise! The food was good but we were disappointed to find out you don’t serve cafe con leche even though it’s on your menu. Aside from that, I had a great time and will definitely be back.

Terrible service. My food was cold, had a hair in it, and came out before everything else including the appetizer. This was after getting my order completely wrong the first time. Additionally, there was a piece of something in my water. I will likely not be back.

I got the Cuban sandwich, my wife got a burger. My sandwich was basic, not bad, but nothing to rave about. The menu didn't mention that the burger would be swimming in mustard, she had to scrape a ton off.
Now for the fries, they were cold and mushy. We mentioned it to our server who said she would replace them and that it happens a lot. She promptly returned with two new baskets of cold mushy fries.
The upside is that it was a beautiful day, and the outdoor seating atmosphere was great.

Jesus christ! Are the cooks white? ! As a Latin, I feel as if this is a bad representation of us. We KNOW how to cook- you guys clearly don't. They didn't even take our order on drinks, they just brought us water. And they couldn't take our orders right at all. I tried my best to be patient with them but it was crazy. This is honestly the worst Cuban food I have ever had in my life. The service sucked, there was no flavor in our food, and absolutely no seasoning. Their rice was actually minute rice and wasn't even cooked all the way! They even brought our orders in to-go boxes. We were visiting from out of town so no worries on us ever going back. I wouldn't recommend going at all.

The Media Noche was great the drinks were good and the staff was super friendly. Definitely recommend had a great time all around.

Great place to eat and meet up with friends! We sat outside at a picnic table that comfortably seated 6 of us. Our server was extremely attentive and we never wanted. There was a fellow singing and playing guitar on the tiki stage next to us which added to the festive atmosphere. The food was superb. I'm picky about my Cuban fare and am never disappointed here! The maduros were tender, moist and sweet, the yuca had the perfect amount of oil and lime and a little salt made them to my exact liking! I can never resist the shoestring fries here since the red sauce in the squeeze bottle is so freaking good! We also shared some grouper fingers and were delighted. Such a fun night with superb food! I couldn't believe how low the check total was for all of us, too! Can't wait to go back again.

Food came out cold and wrong. We waited absolutely too long for no one to be in there. Under seasoned and just nasty in my opinion. The other location is 100% better than this one. The manager didn't even try to fix the problem.took of the meal yet still charged for two teas. Service and food quality sucks here. Never again.
