Gracie Barra Fleming Island

I took my son here to try his first free trial class and his sisters watched and wanted to do it, too! Professor does such a great job with the kids! Jiu Jitsu teaches so many important lessons and prepares kids for the future. The kids all had so much fun and the tools taught in Jiu Jitsu are so important that soon mommy and daddy joined and now it’s a family affair! It’s great for exercise for the adults, and great for self-defense in this crazy world. The discipline and life lessons taught are so needed! I’m proud that my kids are here and I’m proud to be a part of such a great community! If you are uncertain whether you should try it or not, come on out and do it! You won’t regret it!

My son loves GB Fleming Island. The professor and coaches take their time to make sure the students understand the moves and counter moves. They encourage the kids to be their best selves and how to protect against bullies. Thank you Professor Max and Coach Eddie for giving my son a place to go and be himself!

Professor max is amazing with the kids. My two boys absolutely adore him and have learned so much from him. This is the best place to learn ju jitsu.

This is hands down the best jujutsu school. The instructors are respectful of everything and the techniques are spot on. They teach discipline and respect. We were hooked after the trial class which is free.

Absolutely love the Gracie Barra school in Fleming Island. We enrolled our 10 yr old and soon to be 5yr old a little over a month ago and they LOVE it! Professor Max, Coach Eddie, and all the other instructors are just amazing with the kids. They are patient, nuturing, and stern with the kids when necessary. We plan to keep our kids in this for as long as they like. Thank you all again for being so wonderful

-Have been taking my son (he is 7 years old) here for over 6 months and I have to say that the coaches do an excellent job teaching and communicating with kids.

-You (and/or your child) will NOT feel like a “number” or be treated incorrectly/harshly (2 of the main challenges at martial arts dojos).

GBFI is a great place to train. The quality of teaching and the level of experience is outstanding. This gym also has a family-like environment that is welcoming and fun to be in. If you are curious about BJJ or returning to the sport after time away, come and give this gym a try, you’ll love it.

Gracie Barra Fleming Island is a great place to start or continue your Jiu-Jitsu Journey. The Professor and Coaches are great with teaching and giving instructions. My wife, my kids and I love the friendly environment. Like the motto says We “Organized like a team, Fighting like a family. ”

My 9 year old niece loves it here! She has fun and especially loves that she gets to practise with other girls her age. It’s clean, safe & family friendly. Easy parking too.

I had the opportunity to train with Professor Max and he is an excellent teacher. He's patient, cares about his students' progress and makes learning enjoyable. Great venue to learn and train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
