Grand Beach Hotel Surfside

Came to stay for a week while working in the area, deeply regretted it. They charge over $1,000 a night for a suite and they have the nerve to tell me that i cant fill up my water bottle through the water dispenser that they have for guest to drink from. I am only allowed to use there cheap cone cups left out outside all day collecting dirt and dust. Talking about the cups give out in the hospitals. This hotel should be embarrassed of themselves! I learnt my lesson and wont make this mistake again. Pools argent heated & Jacuzzis are broken and they have very few beach chairs so if the hotel is busy be prepared to lay down on the sand! They have like 5 managers and they are all a waist of money, only way i see this hotel prosper is if they fire all there managers and management team and get new people. As the current ones are lazy, looked pissed and dont even smile at you. They look at you like they are doing you a favor. Many more issues with the hotel, not worth my energy to write more then i did. Business will be going elsewhere

Terrible front desk staff, terrible service, night bartender looks pissed always. Manager on duty who i was sent to speak about issues was a tall gentleman who said to me if i am not happy with the stay i should leave. Never had someone tell me that in a hotel especially i was here on my anniversary. The hotel was the worst part of the miami vacation. I though i would share so others dont fall in the same path

Outstanding place to stay in Miami beach. Clean and comfortable rooms with great views of the beach, ocean and pools. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Valet was good, parking is very expensive but at least they charged my Tesla overnight twice included at their destination charger. Walking distance to many restaurants grocery and drug stores for convenience. Will stay again.

I stayed here with my family, we got a nice room with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. The location is great! There is one problem and its the reason i give this place 1 star. Customer service is beyond terrible. The front desk manager was very rude and disrespectful and didn't seem to care about any concerns we had. Don't recall his name but he is the Tallest manager and he walks around like he owns the place. Also if you are going with children keep in mind the pools are freezing and dirty. They have 1 employee for 100 people and they charge $70 a day for resort after taxes which is more then st regis and ritz carlton and expect you to return your towel to the other side of the pool otherwise its a $25 charge. So you pay $650 a night to stay in a ocean front and you need to return your own towels after yourself. The hotel is more like a 3.2 star hotel in my option. WITHOUT PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE HOUSE IS WOURTH NOTHING! Lastly dont expect to get home keeping or front desk to answer any calls from the room, we called multiple times for service and info but they kept placing us on hold.

I left my bed outside for 30 minutes to eat something and when I come back service goes picked up all my staff and stole my glasses.
I asked to speak with manager they did not want that.
I ask for surveillance and I was told this is just for our safety.

Adrian, Jonathan, Rosa Girón, the bartender, the beach chairs staff, and several other employees were AMAZING. I have to use a wheelchair most days due to my disabilities. Sometimes, I need to feel close to the ocean for my spirit to feel solace and peace. The staff ensured to help me so much. Kuddos. Super clean all around! I loved it.

Really nice hotel. When checking in my 2 year old was having a fit. We were doing everything possible to get her to settle down. The person checking us asked us to please control out child. I wish he would have offered us parenting classes on how to control a 2 year old.

Was a great experience in every way. Beautiful hotel and pools and great service at hotel at pool and at beach area too. Looking forward to coming again.

Hotel well placed but deplorable service 8 days in the hotel 2 days without cleaning despite my reminder to the reception which is very unpleasant the pool staff is very unpleasant not to mention the beach attendants service 0

Most stunning and welcoming hotel I’ve ever been to. The room was spotless clean, had two TVs, two gorgeous bathrooms, fast and responsive customer service and…wow. Definitely worth the price. I’ll be coming again pretty soon

I recently stayed at this hotel for a relaxing getaway, and while the front desk service was pleasant and welcoming, the overall experience regarding food and drink service left much to be desired. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, the service around the pool, beach, and in-room dining was simply TERRIBLE.

Upon arriving at the pool area, I eagerly anticipated some refreshments to kickstart my vacation. However, I had to wait for an entire hour waiting for a server, despite politely asking a staff member for assistance. The lack of attention and slow response was truly disappointing and definitely not what one would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

Frustrated with the poolside service, I decided to retreat to my room and try room service instead. This, however, proved to be an even bigger challenge. After attempting to call room service twenty times with no success, I finally gave up and resorted to ordering from an external delivery service, DoorDash. It's truly disheartening when a hotel fails to fulfill such basic amenities for its guests.

I must say that the potential for a great experience is evident, but the lack of prompt and attentive service significantly marred my stay. As a guest, all I wanted was to enjoy a relaxing time with delicious food and drinks, but sadly, this was not possible due to the hotel's service shortcomings.

While the lovely front desk staff creates a positive first impression, the overall service experience, particularly in the dining aspect, falls far short of expectations. For those considering this hotel for a getaway, I advise proceeding with caution, as the current state of food and drink service could seriously hinder your ability to enjoy a truly relaxing and satisfying vacation

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last four years. Nice location, amazing beach and superb service. Honestly the only downside is how overpriced the food and drinks are. Other than that, amazing hotel and stay.

Very disappointed with the quality of the rooms.the hotel aged badly. Bathroom door does not close, no dirty coffee maker, leaky air conditioning, floor soaked by my condensation, with extractor on the balcony, nothing to do with our arrival 4 years ago.

I had the worst experience, they lie to me and took my credit card as supposedly deposit and when I went to check out they charged me for extra fees that I already paid when I did my reservation and I showed them proof
The manager promised us that he will look into the problem and get back to us right away but never had the courtesy to contact us or reply to my several calls I did to the hotel.
We complained about our room not having hot water and everyday they were sending someone and was until our check out that we found out that that room always have water issues.
It’s terrible the fact that they lie and take money out of your credit card without letting you know about…

I really enjoyed my stay there. Staff was accommodating, room was nice, view was great, and the pool was enjoyable. Location is great, too. Supermarket and lots of restaurants right on the next block.

I just spent a fantastic week at this hotel with my boyfriend as we had a wedding in the area! Spacious rooms (most with two bathrooms!). Staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Our room had a few maintenance issues that were solved within the first 12 hours of our stay. Beautiful beach and pool with full staff serving you whatever you like. You are a 5 minute walk from Bal Harbor shops with tons of fantastic restaurants and stores. Definitely would recommend and I will be returning!

Wow! Gorgeous hotel, clean, and great location right on the beach. We thank you for having a pool for adults only with the bar. It was just the vacation we were looking for.

We love this hotel for the outstanding service provided at all of the time and perfect location. We stayed here multiple times with no one regret and disappointment, so we decided to celebrate our wedding at the hotel. And it was a fantastic wedding thanks to the professional crew of La Plage. General manager Jose, Chef Daniel, manager Derek, the best server ever Etty, server Rachel and bartender Sava provided us with exceptional service and hospitality, they made the wedding dinner and the party so beautifully decorated, smooth and so much fun. Every time we come back, we feel so special and welcome!
