Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay

Facility is nice, the area is not convenient for any type of activities. There are two sides to the hotel. Rooms on the airport side are above an empty garage and looks terrible. The Bay side is very nice and the hotel has large windows with a nice view. Staff is great. The shower faucets were the worst part, is was impossible to maintain a comfortable temperature it was either scaulding hot or freezing and that continued the entire stay, staff was unable to resolve.

This hotel was amazing! Tanairy at the front desk made me feel like it was a 5 star hotel due to her hospitality!

On January 10,2024, I made a reservation through Priceline at this hotel. On January 11, my wife fell ill due to COVID, and we were forced to cancel the reservation. Evidence of the illness was provided, yet they denied the refund, claiming that the hotel policy did not allow for a refund of the money used for the reservation. I pose these questions, leaving them open for anyone who reads them:
-Is it the hotel's policy to have a sick individual with a highly contagious disease attend their reservation, thereby exposing everyone in contact with the sick guest?
-Is it the hotel chain's policy to take a negligible amount of money from a guest who is genuinely unwell?
-If this is the company's policy for a mere $360, what will happen when someone has paid a much larger sum.will they still refund it?

My recent stay at the Grand Hyatt was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and valued. The room was immaculate, with breathtaking views, and every detail was meticulously attended to. The customer service was unparalleled, and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. I can't recommend the Grand Hyatt highly enough for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my experience exceptional!

We came here on NYE and booked a Bay view room, requested early check in, but wasn't available so we were able to actually check in and go to our rooms around 345pm.
First, the hotel is just ok I'd expected better facilities for the price of almost $500 and the pool is under maintenance which as no where mentioned on their website.
The view we had was good but the amenities were abysmal. The one thing that were good was the front desk was very friendly and the bartender as well. But, we will not be returning. -John

Nice place to be in. Very clean and location is perfect if you want to walk by the Harbour, but pricey.

Based on the reviews we were expecting a lovely stay. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The hotel was clean and conveniently located close to the airport. Unfortunately the hidden fees we received on our bill, will be the reason we never return. We booked the room and breakfast package. On the conformation is states, daily breakfast for all registered guests. We were shocked to notice we were charged an additional $70 for breakfast. When we reached out to customer service, they offered us nothing other than points for the inconvenience. When you pay extra for a breakfast package and get charged additionally, it’s really disappointing. You will also pay a destination fee, which is also a money grab if you are only staying before a flight. Beware of this hotel.

I had a very bad experience with this hotel. I decided to stay for one night to take advantage of a special rate of $199 per night for ngy an employee of the Bayport building. I spoke with one young male at the receptionist and asked him if he could grant the special rate. He checked and told me that the best he could do was $230 because I was a walk-in. I accepted and stayed for the night. At checked out, the bill was $401.80. My husband confronted the same man at the reception, and he lied in his face. He said he only gave a parking discount… when I even had free parking for being an employee of the building. Then, I called and spoke with someone from the hotel who assured me that I was going to get a refund. As of today, I have not received my money back.this is very unfortunate, and would never stay in this hotel.

Everything is dated. Bathroom was small. It just seems like a place for old people. Night time valet wasn't very attentive. Had to wait for the attendant, and I was the only vehicle.

Good experience, two restaurants and pool side bars. Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a casita which provided a lot of privacy. The grounds are very resort like without the fanfare.

Horrible service. Arrived at the hotel and was informed there would not be any hot water from midnight until 5am. As I had to leave to the airport at 5am, took a shower at 11: 30pm… already no hot water. After complaining lady of front desk promised a $150 credit. Wanted to brush my teeth afterwards, come to find out there was no running water at all.
At check-out credit was not given.

The experience at this hotel is always very good. The rooms have all been recently updated so they are modern, very clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of the bay. The breakfast buffet has many choices and the little shop attached to the hotel is helpful and convenient.
The pool area and the nature walkway are very nice but could be cleaned up more.
Would always be happy to return to this hotel.

Just a good hotel with Casitas. Restaurants on site are good.
Nice walking areas and dock to take in the area and water. Will be back to stay in a few weeks.

They were so nice here, just a friendly staff that realy cares about you. The room was clean and amazing. Thank you for a great stay.
