This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. I signed for a new pool 11/4/2021.yes that's correct 2021. I've had an an incomplete shell on my property and Grant Pools will not return my calls. I tried contacting Jimmy the owner via email and phone and he also ignores me. The permit continues to expire but Grant keeps paying the fees and renewing the permit but doesn't work on the pool. I should have paid more attention to these reviews before signing. My kids are so upset because we were planning to have their birthday party round the pool last year. Now there's a very good chance we won't be able to have their birthday party around the pool again this year.completely ridiculous!

Let's see if I get the same generic response.or the typical no response.

If I could give negative stars I would. Stay away. They take forever and have nothing but excuses for the delays if you can get them to even respond to you.

Gave them the benefit of doubt when we chose them knowing they had bad reviews. Assumed it was all Covid delays. Not the case it’s just how the operate.

No timeline on when things will be completed. Wrong plans sent to their subcontractors. No follow through. Terrible experience.

We contracted Grant Pools to put in our pool last January. The pool design was fine, and the details and price. Once I signed contract, we were notified about 5 or 6 weeks later saying that a mistake was made because they didn't see my property required a 7 ft set back due to easement. The design involving the lenai had to be made much smaller due to set back. Once new plans were drawn up, I expected the price to be less since the lenai, pavers, screening, aluminum and labor was reduced. Instead it was almost a thousand dollars more! When I questioned it, the answer was she didn't know and it was just that amount now. Firstly, it was not my fault that Grant Pools employee made the mistake of not seeing the easement on my survey, nor was it my fault that prices had possibly gone up in the 6 weeks that our pool start was delayed due to their mistake!
I did come to terms with the employee who finally agreed to go back to the original price even though everything was now smaller. She sent over the new proposal but never sent over corrected revised contract. I am still asking her to revise the contract and still have not had any response except ok I'll do that when I am back in office. The pool was started in June and now it's November and we cannot get an answer to when the next step, which is rough plumbing will be started. I have called a few times and today when I called was disconnected when put on hold waiting to find out the answer. No one called me back and when I called again, no one answered. Very dissatisfied and frustrated that the dig was started months ago and now progress has seemed to stop.
I would appreciate the owner, Phil Grant to contact me. Thank you.
Just got response back saying they are sorry and to call to resolve problems. THAT'S WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING! No answers or results!
I just now found out that Grant Pools were bought out by Holiday Pools a few years ago, which was never revealed to me. The owner is James McLeod but no contract information for him.

Grant built our pool in a utility easement and blames everyone else for the Mistake! We have tried numerous times to get their help in resolving the problem and a sad lol we get is the runaround we have spent several thousand on fees for permits. Charlotte county has been great trying to guide us through the process and Grant has just turned their back on us and it’s their fault but, they blame everyone else. I strongly recommend that you stay away from GRANT POOLS! They are terrible to deal with! Grants reply is generic I’ve tried many times to resolve the pool easement issue and most of they time grant doesn’t call me back or admits they did anything wrong it’s pathetic how you do business. We are out $2,000 for Grants mistake so don’t tell me to reach out when I have!

First impressions will cost a company business. Rude front desk person. I have gone to other pool places and this woman in her Harley Davidson hat doesn't need to be meeting the public. Gone with another company.

A big Thank You to everyone at Grant Pools. Our new pool and lanai extension turned out beautiful! It is exactly how we wanted it. Nickie, our sales person listened to all the details, Christa & Kay in the office are amazing. Always very pleasant and professional. Freddie and all the different crews working on this project did an amazing job! With all the obstacles facing everyone at this time with Covid 19, shortage of labor & materials, and even very unkind folks, I just want you to know that you all did an absolute amazing job. Thank you!

We signed with Grant Pools in September 2020 and they broke ground in March 2021 (closed on the house in November 2020). They have hit the house 3 times so far. The pavers that were ordered and installed were the wrong pavers. Our lanai was done by our builder so the goal was to match the pavers currently there which was said could be done and I even brought in physical samples to match. The current pavers that are down are discontinued and there are none left over so we can’t even have matching pavers throughout. I had to buy new pavers out of my own pocket on top of the ones I already paid for in the contract. I have given multiple solutions and it seems like they are dragging their feet because they don’t want to have to pay to fix the issues. I have to call them, they do not reach out to you even if there are problems. Their cage installer even reached out to me directly because they were confused and what Grant told them was wrong so we had to clarify that. The only reason we are getting them to move along is because we called their owner, Holiday Pools, and brought up all of the issues. Even that isn’t really working. I do not recommend using this company as we have had an empty hole in the ground since April 2021 (now mid October 2021) and it doesn’t look like it will be finished anytime soon.

I would NOT recommend Grant Pools to ANYONE. Communication is TERRIBLE. Christa, Kay, Randy, Dave all gave so many empty promises and tons of excuses. Said they would be out once or twice a week after pool was completed and now I have yellow algae at the bottom of our pool. No one ever came out. Said they would call me back with an update, had to call back two days later since no one ever returned my phone call. Said the pool would be completed in 4 months. It took TEN MONTHS. Two county inspections failed and we had to wait for those issues to be fixed so the county could pass us. DO NOT USE GRANT POOLS.

The front desk lady has kind of an attitude.
After spending more than $70k"s on my swimming pool 8 month ago
"Don't call us. We will call you when we can repair your pool"
Really?
Pretty messed up!

Just thought I'd share my recent interaction with Grant Pools. Let me preface by saying that Grant has not started or completed any work at my residence. Nonetheless, Grants level of service warrants a review.
First off, the estimate process seemed rushed and incomplete. I provided a sample estimate from another pool company which I thought would make things easier for them, but it didn't seem to matter much. They provided a one page breakdown where other companies provide 2-3 pages plus renderings.
Soon after, we reviewed paperwork and we decided that Grant may be the better choice. We arrived at their location to choose tile and paver colors and to sign contract but later found out that the pool shell, which most companies provide a lifetime warranty for along with pebble tec, has only a one year guarantee. So, what you're telling me is that you build me a pool, I fork over in excess of 50K for the pool and cage and you give me one year guarantee on the pool shell? I was a bit confused, and asked again, and indeed Grant Pools covers their construction for 1 year, yes only 365 days and to boot, you need to keep detailed records (on their app) of when you clean and maintain the pool as to not have guarantee go null and void. I was also told you better be sure to use your warranty wisely as we will only come out once, and charge for each additional visit as it relates to the warranty. WOW! I'm in the hotel business, and hotel owners that treat their clientele like Grant Pools treated us, is the owner that will eventually contact me asking why business has significantly decreased and I can do to help. So, consider this a friendly reminder that if you continue to treat your clients as such because demand is at an all time high, when demand decreases, and it most certainly will, you will be hard pressed to find customers.
Furthermore, we were made to feel as our business didn't matter much because as I was told "I have 30 people to get back to after I'm done with you" and quite frankly they may as well of said, we don't need your business.
I see this happen across all industries but the beauty about living in the USA is that you have choices, sometimes numerous so, I will move on and look at other pool companies.
Thank you Grant Pools for your stellar service.
