Grayton Beer Company reviews
10We were visiting several local breweries in the area and this one was the best! Great selection of beers and the pizza from the food truck is amazing! Highly recommend!
Great open space with variety of games. Wonderful variety of beers. Excellent space with ample seating.
This is a very nice brewery. My wife and I have been to over 100 breweries together in our home state of NC so we have a bit of standard. Firstly, we noticed it smelled like hay for some reason when we first walked in, which we loved. The beer selection is plenty for a small brewery. I have drank the beach blonde the entire week that we have been on vacation and absolutely love it. Our bartender was very friendly. We played cornhole while we drank our brews. Definitely recommend.
Excellent food and an excellent staff to go with it. They also have some unique items to try that are incredible, along with their own special beer, and sometimes entertainment. All around great place A+
Staff member (can't remember his name) was very informative. Great beers. Especially the Beach blonde! First time at a brewery.
Great (or GRAYT as they like to say) beers served by very friendly staff in a great location. You'll find well executed beers, ales and sours here, and not just IPA APA IPA APA.
Check the schedule before you go because there are private events at the brewery from time to time. We have shown up on a lark without checking and been very sadly disappointed to see the doors closed.
What a great place to stop and have a beer or two! During our visit there were 23 selections on tap, so plenty of options, from lighter lagers, nice ales, to stouts. We ordered a flight of 4-ounce pours (5 selections) and all were very good. Our bartender was terrific and very knowledgeable. The facility was very comfortable, feeling very much like a pub in the bar area with a touch of industrial as you near the brewing area. I highly recommend!
Finally made it to Grayton Brewery! Last year (2022) when we stopped they were closed even though the posted hours stated they would be open. Tip - Call ahead. We chose a flight of various beers and decided the Big Talk and Baltic Oyster Cult were our favorites! Knowledgeable bartender, great atmosphere. Visited the last week of January 2023, after noon, Wednesday. Not too busy.
Stopped in for a quick refreshment and was pleasantly surprised. The grafton pale ale and ipa were very good. The atmosphere was very clean and our host was very personable. Ended up liking the visit so much, we ended up taking 2-6 packs along with a t-shirt.
What's not to like? So many beer options and with a friendly, accommodating bartender, we were able to sample and select tasty beers. We felt welcome and comfortable and it was a fun outing. They do offer some snacks, entertainment on occasion and just a nice environment. The men in our group even got an impromptu little tour of parts of the beer making process here.
The only bummer is that this location is still a bit out of the way. You won't stumble on it, but need to make a deliberate choice to go here (Well, and idyll hounds is down the road, too, so it can make itself into quite a nice outing!).
Coming from a state where you can't enter a town of any size without stumbling on one or more craft breweries, we still feel we have to go out of our way to find them in the 30A area. Luckily, the ones that are here are all worth a visit!
