I cannot say enough good things about two people in particular at this location. Anna, has to be the most patient, and kind person I’ve ever met. She took time to thoroughly explain how my insurance bills and what my cost would be covered so that I knew my out-of-pocket cost. She made me feel like she cared about the patient, which is rare these days.

Judy, the hygienist today was an angel and I wish I could have her at every cleaning. She was old school and by that I mean I felt like I was at a small town dentist office. She took the time to numb my gums and did a deep cleaning by hand because of sensitivities I have.

Today was one of my best experiences thanks to these two!

Pleased with service but billing does not have a clue what is going on between corporate and office. Unable to tell me my correct bill amount. No idea why corporate called me

After I filled out paperwork, a woman took me into a small room. She was nice enough. Never really said anything to me except “open. Close” while she took my x-rays. She said the doctor would be right in. I sat there for an hour. I said to the technician “is he coming? I have been sitting there for almost an hour”. She said “he is with a patient right now. You are next though”.
I thought to myself.my appointment was scheduled for 10: 30. Its noon now. So I decided to leave. I suggest looking elsewhere if you want a place that respects your time and actually get your teeth cleaned within an hour and a half.

My daughter was a patient up until today. On our first appointment we found a cockroach under a chair in the lobby, we decided to still give the consultation a chance. The doctor is very nice, and Knowledgeable, but the staff! They are the worst.
We decided to start the braces process, on the first appointment a pipe broke, and they asked us to go home. They then called me a few hours later and asked me to return. When we got back the nurse asked me to wait in my car due to covid. When they finished the nurse walked her over to my car and confirmed the appointment to return in 4 weeks, she gave me a card with the date and said she will see us soon.
Today we arrive at our appointment, the 2 girls at the front were SUPER rude stating i did not have an appointment, they did not apologize for their error, they didnt offer any pleasantries. The doctor then calls me and ask if i can return to the office, adding this is not the first time things like this happen but adding “this is not my practice”. I explain i would return if I received an apology from the 2 receptionist who were beyond rude. I get placed on hold to be told that they told my daughter the appointment was canceled!
Are you kidding me? No formal apology was given! I understand an error can occur. My problem is the way it was handled. Needless to say we will not be returning! If i was you I would look for another orthodontic office, an office where the staff takes accountability and has respect, bedside manners, and more importantly professionalism.

DON’T GO THERE, THEY ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB IN PROVIDING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR COVID-19. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR HEALTH, DO NOT GO THERE. AFTER I FOUND OUT AND CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT THEY CHARGED ME A FEE EVEN THOUGH I EXPLAINED THAT I’M NOT TOO COMFORTABLE GOING IN THE WAITING ROOM WITH THAT MUCH PEOPLE TO TAKE MY CHILD’S TEMPERATURE. THEY DIDN’T CARE AND PUT ME ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME, SO RUDE! THEY SHOULD HAVE EVERYONE WAIT IN THE CAR AND CALL OUT ONE AT A TIME TO GET THEIR TEMPERATURE TO PROVIDE SOCIAL DISTANCING, NOT FORCE YOU TO GO IN A TINY ROOM WITH PEOPLE WAITING INSIDE. THE HEALTH EXPERTS ADVICES PATIENTS TO GO TO THE DENTIST FOR ONLY URGENT OR EMERGENCIES NOT FOR CLEANING AND XRAYS, BE EXTRA CAREFUL FROM PLACES LIKE THIS LOCATION, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY NOT YOUR HEALTH.

Most of my appts (pre COVID-19) have been hours long even when I'm only seen for 5-10 min.
Earlier this year, I had an appt scheduled for 1: 30. I left work early to make the appt, but when I showed no one was there & the door was locked. Another patient showed up & waited with me. We knocked on the door & tried to call in case they were in the back eating. By 1: 50, I called a different office & asked if Coconut Creek was open. They said yes & called the office manager on her cell phone. They finished their meeting & didn’t open the doors until almost 2pm. Then, I waited another 30 minutes before I saw anyone. That day, they told me my crown was cracked & would need another one. I was there for 3.5 hours that day…mostly just waiting.
My next appt (again pre COVID-19), I mentioned that I needed to be out by 5-5: 15 because I needed to pick my daughter up from daycare. I was reassured by the lady at the front desk that it shouldn’t be a problem. At 4: 45, I started to complain. The office manager explained that there was no way I would be out by then & if it was such an issue, she would reschedule. The dentist came in & was rude by telling me that I had to wait my turn since he was the only dentist available. I left a few minutes after 5: 30…90 minutes to do one impression.
Due to COVID-19, my 8: 30 appt to receive my crown was cancelled while I sat in the parking lot waiting for them to open. While I was on the phone with the lady, she didn’t have time or patience to talk to me so she hung up while I was mid-sentence. She scheduled a random appt for me without my knowledge because the next time they called to cancel it, I was unavailable…but so was the dentist.
Multiple appts have been cancelled since the reopening of this office due to the dentist not being available. Dr. Rangel is the district manager or something so he works as a dentist twice per week and is admin the other three. I was also told that his schedule can be rearranged at random due to his admin responsibilities…which leads me to the latest cancellation. On 6/11, I was called to confirm my cleaning on 6/16. I confirmed and told them that I also had an appointment with Dr. Rangel on 6/19 to finally receive my crown which was confirmed. Then on 6/12, I was called again to cancel on 6/19 because Dr. Rangel doesn’t work on Fridays this month and was given a future appointment for 7/27. To say that I was upset is an understatement and asked to speak to the office manager. She was busy and would return my call. At 4: 50pm, I called back and she was still busy and “might not call back until Monday. ” The man on the other end of the line hung up on me. I made multiple attempts to call back before a young woman answered the phone and attempted to help me and find a solution. I never heard back from the office manager.
On 6/16, I showed up for my appt. When I walked in, one person behind the desk wasn’t wearing a mask and another was wearing it incorrectly. The hygienist (the only person that is ever on time in this office), was incredibly nice and helpful. When I went to pay, I asked the office manager if there had been any cancellations. She went through the calendar and said no, but also said that “it isn’t my fault his schedule changes. ” She also tried to explain that they had closed due to COVID-19, but didn’t want to listen when I said that I was talking about the cancellations since they had reopened. I tried to ask to be put on a waitlist to call me if there were any openings before 7/27. Instead, she rolled her eyes and answered the phone. My reply was “nice customer service” as I walked out…her response was to smile and wave.
After speaking to corporate, I got an appt for 6/18 & finally received my crown after 6 months. 4 employees were not wearing masks for the first 15 minutes that I sat there & the office manager went out of her way to ignore me…again.

I went there to get my teeth cleaned and get a filling on my front tooth and my insurance would cover both so I wouldn't have to pay anything but they took me in and tried to charge me up with stuff that I didn't even need they said I can't get a filling or get my teeth cleaned because the doctor said so.
Horrible service I would never ever go there again and definitely would not recommend it to anyone else. Unless you are like Bill Gates

Horrible! They tried to up charge me on repairs that didn't need. AND NEVER EVEN GAVE ME A PRICE ON WHAT I CAME IN FOR! AND WHAT MADE IT WORSE I WANTED TO SPEAK TO THE DENTIST TO RESOLVE THIS, THE RECEPTIONIST BY THE NAME ANNA TOLD ME I HAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! UNBELIEVABLE!

Don't use this practice! Their billing practices are unethical. They aggressively collect whatever they can before you even see the dentist. They wanted $165 up front to re-cement a crown when my insurance with whom they contract said it was an $18 charge.

Fantastic service and friendly staff! Dr. Sharlene Starkman pediatric dentist she's great and my kids love her! Jenelle in billing is patient, friendly and professional. She politely explained Ortho payment options since my daughter was referred to have treatment done. “I wouldn't usually write a review but I feel I must:)

We have been patients of Great Expressions for several years and moved to the Coconut Creek office two years ago. The entire staff is very professional. We love Angie, our hygienist. Adrianna and Shuin assisted with my Invisalign today. Besides taking great care of my teeth, I always enjoy talking with Dr. Rangel! Talisa completed my visit at checkout! Thank you all for making it a great visit.

The people are nice and everything. However, they have a policy that they cannot provide a dental exam and a dental cleaning at the same time so you have to schedule two different appointments (waste of time). Also, they have very little availability in the next four weeks to do dental cleanings. Because of that, my wife decided to cancel her initial appointment with them and will be seeking out a different provider.

The whole team is very accommodating, they take the extra time to make sure you are comfortable and understand everything that is being done.
I have been going to this office for 4 years and have even referred a friend.
