Great Heights Academy reviews
4The best school for children with Special Needs. You won't find more caring teachers anywhere! Amazing staff! They have an amazing way of teachig our children and there is "NO LIMITS" to what they know our children can achieve! Khia Lopez Tamayo is the owner and founder of the school and is an amazing woman! She is always trying to find new programs and activities to help our children. She always puts the needs of our kids first. I was considering moving out of Miami but I cannot go because I will not leave the school. I don't feel that any other school will be fit for my child like this one. As long as my son can attend Great Heights Academy we will stay in Miami!
My daughter has been with GHA for almost 7 years now. They welcomed her and our whole family. Her academic improvement has been amazing. She has develop a sense of independence through the CBI program. Communication between teacher and parents is very open. More than all of that we trust them and they have become a great support in this journey.
As a Mother of a child with special needs, I feel this school not only meets the standards of a great academic institution but also enforces the required living skills training that our future adults need to successfully perform in society. I know Mrs Lopez and her team are leaders that empower our kids on a daily basis. Any negative comment about this school should be ignored because of its malicious intent.
Parents beware they charge you 100.00 for an evaluation that is non refundable. Then they tell you your child is approved and start the registration process. My son has a Gardiner Scholarship that covers over 11,000.00 and they calculated that I needed to pay 450.00 a month in tuition I am a single mother with a fixed income and cannot afford that monthly tuition payment. Beware this doesn't happen to you. I will never recommend this school to anyone in the Autism Community. They don't care about helping families with special needs children all they care about is your money. Beware Beware Beware.
