I had a great experience overall with my first pregnancy. Didn’t know what to expect going in, but felt prepared and in the best hands the entire time. Misti, Elizabeth, Marissa, and Abby were so helpful during my entire delivery. I will definitely return to have our second baby and would recommend Misti for your home birth.:)

I really wanted to do a homebirth but was nervous at the same time. But any concerns I had Misti reassured me and explained how she would handle every situation and calmed me down. She made me feel so safe every step of the way and help guide me through my labor. We are so happy we chose her and her team to help bring our baby into this world!

I chose Misti as my midwife out of the other midwives I interviewed along the East coast area because she made a great first impression on me. I immediately knew she took pride in what she does and is passionate about her career as a midwife. I felt very honored to have her there with me during my labor and even guiding me along my pregnancy journey to prepare for motherhood. She was an easy person to talk to and felt very comfortable talking to her about anything. I enjoyed my appointments with her so much because she really took the time to get to know you as a person. I felt like we have grown to be best friends. She is a go-with-the-flow type person and humble. She did an amazing job making sure my labor went smoothly and as relaxing as possible to help me give birth the way I wanted. Not only is she great at what she does but also helped me to appeal a claim I had with my health insurance that didn’t want to cover any midwife services. I hope to keep Misti as my midwife for my next child and many more after that if we decide to have more kids in the future. I can’t thank her enough for everything she had done for me. She does outstanding work and you won’t regret choosing her as your midwife! (:

Misti is the most amazing midwife! She helped us bring our 3ed baby into the world at home. It was a great experience from start to finish. She is friendly, caring, knowledgeable and trustworthy. She made me feel like a friend throughout the process. She has a wealth of medical knowledge and experience to rely on. She made me feel safe and cared for. I would highly recommend Misti to anyone looking to have a fulfilling home birth experience. She is the best! If we have another, she will be my go to!

My wife had Misti as her midwife and she couldn’t have had a better experience. Misti is informative and down to earth. She helped my wife tremendously through birth, and has been a great resource for us with our newborn. We will have all of our children with Misti as our midwife.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received. My fiancé was put under so much unnecessary stress because of how Misti treated her. I do not recommend her.

I was nearing 42w and according to Misti, no homebirth past 42w.

Misti and I respectfully disagreed on several things. I had long cycles and felt my due date was off according to modern calculation methods and by my 20w ultrasound. I wanted my labor to begin naturally. I was healthy & there were no concerning signs. I said I would monitor & do non-stress tests if need be.

She started pushing very hard for induction. She never explained the cons of induction. She didn't allow me informed consent. This is COERCION. You have a choice regardless of how it makes your provider feel. She watched me cry bc I was so stressed.

I sought a 2nd opinion from Maya Bence of Modern Midwives, said she couldn't help me. Didn't give a reason.

Misti dropped me as a client through a cold TEXT MESSAGE the day of 42w. Said she was aware I reached out to other midwives (bc Maya told her) and she would not be providing me w/ emotional support at the hospital or treat me postpartum. Even though it specifically states in her contract she would. My body shook uncontrollably bc of the stress for days until after birth.

Labor began naturally 42+1. Baby born healthy, only 7lbs 42+3. I kept wondering if she'd check to see if my baby was born healthy/alive and I was ok since claimed to care about us. She didn't until weeks later when she realized I had her birth pool. She pretended as if she never did anything and asked if I could put the pool out so she could pick it up. I agreed, but told her how badly she affected me. I asked what could be done to make it right and said I believed we should get a refund for the services we didn't receive. I was ignored!

Well, she didnt pick up the pool sitting on our porch for 25 days! That was IT for me. I asked for a refund again and quoted her financial agreement, which does not support her keeping the money. It says no refunds for *client* discontinuation. Ignored AGAIN!

Misti is very unresponsive and unaccountable. She is always saying she'll do something and not do it. It was like pulling teeth trying to get my anatomy scan results to see if my baby was healthy! I had to wait extra time bc she kept forgetting. She never apologizes for not following through and inconveniencing you.

I'm 6mo postpartum still having to worry about this nonsense when I should be paying attention to my baby. We paid $5700 & got 11 1hr appointments. Who gets $5700 when THEY CHOSE not to do most of their job?

Misti is not an honorable business owner. She is selfish and cowardly. Her behavior was highly unethical and violated many of my rights as a patient. She's nice. Until she's NOT. I absolutely cannot recommend her.

And if she comments on this with some excuse to make herself look better, know that she will not communicate with me personally! Just like the poor girl in the other negative review. Like a short comment on maps is going to fix what you did? And you know extremely well just how much stress and feeling unsafe can affect the progression of a labor, right Misti? Well, my labor was 38 hours long and I had to get an epidural AND pitocin no thanks to you. Total nightmare and NOTHING how I wanted it to go besides my daughter being born healthy. You contributed to my birth and postpartum trauma. You should be absolutely ashamed, but you're clearly not.
