This is a terrible childcare facility. I withdrew my son after he was there for about 1.5 years. I reported them to DCF. They kept children on the playground in heat above 105 degrees with no access to water. When I picked up my son, he had heat exhaustion and close to heat stroke (I won’t post the pictures). We didn’t return after this experience. One of their teachers was consistently rough with my son, she ended up being fired after I raised it with their staff. As a mama and long-time resident of Tallahassee, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If you value your child’s life and safety, avoid Growing Room at all costs. I also discovered they were allowing children to watch tablets during the day off the cameras so the supervisors can’t see what’s happening in the room. The horror stories from former teachers shocked me. Just stay away.

I use to work for this daycare, let me tell you a little of my experience. I was one of the toddlers teacher and I loved my babies but once my son started at this daycare it went down hill. They pulled me from my class and told me that my son was sick which was odd. I took him to the doctor and it turned out that he had Covid, even the doctor was afraid to come into the room after finding out. Once I told the Director Virginia, she blamed it on the weather change. In which, the weather changing can cause the common flu never Covid. None of the parents in his classroom were informed that there were kids there that had Covid. None of the teachers were informed that there were kids in the school that had Covid. No one was supposed to know because I even asked some of the parents in his class. Did they know that any of the students had Covid and all of them said no. There were no protocols that were followed when it came to Covid so whoever my son caught it from was just casually spreading it and no one was supposed to know. Once I quit, Lisa told ELC that I withdrew my child, and she knew that I did not withdraw him. She withdrew him. I asked her for a copy of the paperwork of me withdrawing him and I have not heard from her since. Me and my lawyer are still waiting for the paperwork so that we can go over it but of course there is no paperwork because she knows as well as I know that I did not withdraw him.
