6Good for biking, DO NOT walk without bug protection. Think long clothes, net, spray. Heard a deer? Maybe? Saw butterflies.
A beautiful day in the WMA, wildlife sights include, 4 baby gators, 13 wild Turkeys, 3 Amadillos.
Make plans to visit the park, check hunting calendar to be sure it's open, only to arrive and park is closed for hunting.
Between manatees and sea turtles it’s always an experience! I love taking my dog Karma kayaking around there! We always pull off to the side so she can go swimming a bit and have yet to see an alligator thankfully! We know they’re out there though so please be careful!
Wide trails, the main one was made by a vehicle and great for riding your bike. More cyclist than walkers. Everyone was pleasant though.
Side trails were flooded 4/16.
Ladies restroom beware.
Great place to ride gravel or MTB. Bring water backpack and snacks on Summer. Free entrance at Roscoe Blvd gate.
