HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Long wait for food and they don’t
even bring water to the table. Supposedly the lack of staff is the reason why. The food was not tasty either. There was no toilet paper either.

Food was great. Service is super slow. Staff looks like they don't even want you there. The inside could use some renovations too.

Terrible service, I guess since we didn’t go casual.
We were treated terribly, the server wasn’t paying attention to the order, he didn’t bring my kid his Parmesan cheese which they were out so he thought bringing him some old smelly cheese was good for him. Not once were we asked if we needed another serving of soda. I can go on just to let you know next time mr server pay close attention I hope my 1.00 tip didn’t offend you as much for the excellent service you provided us. Never again will me and my family go here. Next time Taco Bell lol

I came old Havana and at 10: 52 the hostess said we were closed and with luck the manager and he help us and gave us the best service and food in south beach. Gave us shots for free. The manager Mickey y augsto gave us the best customer service ever!

Found this place because another one nearby didn't have anyone working there when we walked in but glad we did. Old school Cuban restaurant. Older clientele and mostly Spanish speaking staff added to the atmosphere. Had some awesome dishes and loved the fried plantains. Definitely recommend for good, traditional Cuban restaurant meals.

Great service all staff super friendly make you feel welcome and the food OMG super tasty amazing will come back for sure.

I went today to eat at this restaurant and I check the reviews, the majority complain about the service and that the food was not that great. What are you expecting with what you paid. I think the food it is not the best but it is good, the service so so, I have to go and ask 2 times for dressing for my salad but that is into the price, we paid $30 with tip included, and there was a lot of happy people in there, I was happy too and I can recommended the place, nobody is perfect and the woman that attend my table I believe that did as best she can, for that reason I gave 5 star.

I have been going here for the last fifteen years, and have been satisfied every single time. My favorite dishes are probably their Breaded Chicken, Plain grilled chicken, Vaca Frita, and Natilla. The prices are extremely low, and the portions are very big, and if you’re craving latin food, this is the place to go. At this price point and portion size, you cannot get any better than Habana Vieja. Love the lunch specials and desserts.

Typical Cuban food served in large portions. Full bar available, music is played very loud. Parking is available but tight, all else is a good place to visit.

Great rice and black beans. I also love the chaletas (pork chops) and ropa vieja. Tostones (fried plantains) are top notch

My daughter and I came in. I’m not from Florida so, I was looking for a Cuban restaurant to eat at. We looked up restaurants based on the area I we were in. When we first got there we were seated away from others far in the back. Which, I thought was weird. Then, it was a noise right next to our table that so loud. I still just tried to ignore the noise. However that wasn’t the issue. There was this man just standing in the corner watching us, with really bad energy. Our server came over slamming our menus at our table. I notice the man still standing watching us with this angry energy at that point my spirit kept saying get up and leave. My daughter ordered an appetizer and the server came back slamming the salt on our table. My daughter ordered a milk shake. After my daughter asked for the sauce for her appetizer he then rolled his eyes. I immediately told her we were not welcomed in that establishment. It was weird experiencing that since it was MLK bday. But I could feel that hate and anger from these people. My spirit told my daughter not to drink her milk shake and to leave. I asked for our ticket and asked for order to be canceled. At that point they started looking stupid! The people in the parking lot on their bikes. Asked why are you leaving so soon, you just got here. I told them apparently my kind is not welcomed there. Do not go here! I felt a energy I have never felt before in my life! This people are evil. I would never lie to hurt anybody!

Horrible food! We went for lunch on a Thursday and one of their specials was Tamale in Cazuela, my mother ordered it and was lumpy, tasteless and cold, I ordered the carne asada with Moros and yucca, same tasteless and cold. My husband ordered the Palomilla with moros and tostones, same! Two waiters were arguing in front of us without any respect that they had customers watching them. When our bill came it totaled to $57.00, when we added the tip it was $62.00 for a worthless meal. I don’t recommend this restaurant nor will we EVER eat there again!

Great food and great service. I ordered the Beef Milanesa and was too excited to take the pic before I started eating. I sat right under the ac but they turned it up so it wouldn’t be so cold and it was still fine. A very latin community and they speak to you in both english A very latin community and they speak to you in both english and spanish unlike what other people say.

Let me tell you… if you need the full experience and a good time…. You’ll want Richard as your server! The guy is amazing

I had to waited 2 hours. I placed an order the day before and they don't have computer and they didn't have my order. They have to do my order again. They do everything old classic. I wonder why they are called The Habana Vieja (old) Rated D

Ticket items not detailed by name, only price, difficult to understand. Have to guess which are lumped in one line and which are not. Hard to verify if paying correct amount. They should update billing system to item ordered name & price.
