My customer service experience was professional, I even received a phone call to make sure I didn’t have any trouble finding the salon. The day of my consultation Mrs. P answered all of my questions and concerns about hair dye and products that I prefer to use on my hair with no problem at all. Even my questions about how long she’s been doing hair including natural hair and she knows her stuff! The fact that she’s direct and honest and passionate about her craft, I can respect that! I’m looking forward to my whole family coming to her shop because she has growing hands! And takes pride in taking care of your hair instead of taking your money!

6/17/2023, Update

Well, now I understand why some reviews mention communication. I went on their website to view the possible price for a new style I want to try and I really didn't see the particular style, but had an idea. Next, I didn't want to book an appointment without having a few questions answered, so, I call. I asked about the style I wanted and was informed, they can do any and all styles, great! So the breakdown begins when I ask about pricing and stopping by to get all my questions answered. Yes, prices are online, but I was asking to confirm. "We don't give prices over the phone. " What's the secret? I understand you're running a business with particular policies and procedures, however, understand as a potential repeat customer, why would I set an appointment only to cancel it, because a few questions were not answered upfront. As I said a totally new style and I was calling to get some guidance, but everything is to be done online without having that initial conversation. This is not a dig or blasting your business, just suggesting to have a bit more patience when customers call.

They need to work on their over the phone customer service and their deliverance of words and cutting me off mid sentence. Also, work on getting co wash at a “natural” hair salon as our hair tends to be more dry if we shampoo it too often. Very odd not to offer that service.

Mmm, well let's just say this place could do better with communication. I get to the location early so I'm waiting in my car for someone to open up, setup, and be ready for me to walk in, but then Ms. P comes out and bangs on the hood of my car to get my attention to come inside.rude for one. Secondly, when I walk in, she tells me that she has an appointment for marley loc extentions, but not over my natural locs. At this point, I'm super surprised because I know I called numerous times to ensure that someone there could do this type of service. So she says that I should've called to make sure that, but I stayed quiet because I didn't want to make a scene. (I have the call logs to prove it) so she then proceeds to tell me that I can still get my service but it would be 100$ extra, so I said, sure. Mind you, at this time, this service was NOT on her website. I wanted marley locs bra length. She recently added marley locs butt length for 600. The converation throughout was pleasant. She made sure I was well at ease and comfortable. The hair itself however, was not properly done for after a day, I started seeing my own natural locs popping out from the twist. (And yes, I always wrap my hair up in my satin wrap) There could've been a better technique to ensure this didn't happen. I did give them a good tip (there was one other woman working in my hair), but I don't think I'll be returning. Too expensive for not too good work, and she made me seem like a liar. P. S. If you call and Noone answers, don't leave a message. It takes forever for someone to return your call. I love to support my sistas, but we have to do better. I'm pretty sure protective styles over locs should be done when the roots are grown out aka new growth. So basically tried to destroy my real hair by not even knowing the basics of how to do hair. Please do not go here for any of your hair needs!

What puzzles me is these hair salons claim to cater to 'their people' hair but say rude remarks and look down on you when you come in all natural (as you should). I didn't want to come back after my 1st visit but it was an emergency and the only salon that was available for next day booking. The vibe and energy was definitely not customer service oriented when I walked in and interacted with the owner and emoloyee. It was a problem with scheduling so I had to go with a different service I originally did not come in for. Heard many great things about Blueleaf salon in oakleaf so I will try them.

I wish I could give 10 stars! My daughter and I finally found stylists that care about healthy hair. I've been going to Hair Dynamics for two years and love it. Everyone is caring! Tori took the time to show me how to properly care for my hair when I was a loose natural. When I made the decision to get sisterlocks, Ashley walked me through the process and discussed everything I needed to know. She did a wonderful job installing my locks, and I am happy that I was her very first sisterlock client!
