You know when you watch Olympic ice skating and think “wow they make that look so easy “

That’s how I felt watching JENNI MUELLER while she color corrected my hair. I originally came in for just a haircut I needed to be fixed and ended up telling Jenni about my previously unfortunate experience with color I had done a few days prior with another stylist at a different salon in town.

She cheerfully and confidently told me she could fix my hair and told me to come back the next day to get my haircut and color correction done all in one go.

Well… she absolutely killed it!

I am so impressed with Jenni and will only come see her for my hair from now on.

She’s also REALLY easy to talk with a super nice! She had someone assisting her with her hair today and she was also wonderful (Her name is Katelin) her assistant even drove to get me my lunch because I’m pregnant and gotta eat every few hours.literally couldn’t have asked for a better experience with nicer caring ladies!

Oh and also she skated it in just a few hours!? So impressed

Will be back and back again! Thanks Jenni?

Hello All! Booked color correction/blow dry after self dying my old blonde, black (do not do this).
Emma did a great job with color correcting after two attempts. First attempt a few spots were missed and the black was still showing up blue. The blow dry could have been better. It felt lazily done. I’ve had $70 blow outs that got my hair bone straight. After expressing this I was called rude. Even called back to reiterate my intentions were not to be rude but to share my HONEST opinion on my $300 service.
My hair texture seemed to be the blame but I was not accepting. It has been done bone straight before (I am African American/Mexican).
More than anything it is MY hair and MY hard earned $ being spent. Being able to take constructive criticism is a very important part to being in any creative industry and if that is not received well it will be very hard doing it as a living. Thank you!

Wrong experience is not exclusively from a bad situation that happens unexpectedly but is also attributed to your own decisions. Mine was chosen for this place.
My birthday is one day away I put all the effort to make and appointment chose for the best hairdresser that I base on someone else experience.
Well, even though I made the appointment with the girl I prefer the salon placed me with someone else.
My hair is medium length, wavy to curly.
I wanted a new reinvigorated look.
I asked her do you have experience with my kind of hair? ! At least twice.
Of course answer YES.
Well for those ladies who have a lot of expectations, don't wait until the last minute.
If you want to change your haircut or color. Take the time to look around and if you see another person with your dream hairstyle just inquire where her hairdresser is located in this way you can get a promising possibility to get what you desire.
Remember anyone can go to school and get a license as a beautician but scissors don't have a brain.
This is why when a client asks for experience, the answer would be like
I will do my best, hope you like it"
Therefore is something is going wrong
Is not my GOD.
You will never have a. Customer walking out of your business in tears, regretting what just occurred.
I won't divulge your names because I do not want anyone to feel bad for you girls because is ABOUT ME. And no one can change that. This is how I feel. And literally is how you kill my hair.

Got a very bad highlight here, my hair was turned an awful, yellow brassy color and still have the roots. I also was charged 30 dollars for a hair treatment I didn't ask for, luckily I noticed when I looked at the e mail receipt. I called back and they gave me a refund. When I asked about getting my hair fixed, they said their policy is that you have to get it fixed with the same person that messed up your hair. Which is so insane to me. Or the owner will fix it. They said he is a "busy guy" and wouldn't even be able to fix my hair until January 12th. So I thought that was extremely poor customer service. Ultimately I'm too afraid to go back there anyways, so I'll be going back to haute headz. And probably never using a beginning hair stylist again.

Update: They called me after I emailed them asking if I could come in earlier and are letting me come in this week to get my hair fixed which I greatly appreciate.

Update 2: Will, the owner, fixed my hair and it looks much better. He was very friendly and professional.
The below pictures are the bad highlight and then the fix.

I had an amazing experience! Ansleigh was very pleasant to talk to and did an amazing job on my hair! I got curtain bangs and layers. I appreciated how patient she was to take off a little at a time. Highly recommend her services!

This is the first haircut I have had in forever that I was genuinely excited about. It feels so much lighter and looks so much cleaner than when I came in, and Kaelie was incredible!

My first time visiting this salon, and the first salon I’ve gone to since moving to Tallahassee, and it was excellent. The color turned out exactly how I wanted, the cut is beautiful, customer service was outstanding. Margo did an absolutely perfect job!

I had a GREAT experience here with my haircut by Lestat. He was fun to talk to, listened to what I wanted, and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. I’m super happy with how my hair turned out and I will absolutely be returning to Lestat!

I came in with my hair all one length, faded color, bangs that I had chopped myself, and only a faint idea of what I wanted… Lestat took the time to consult with me, ask if I had pictures of what I wanted, and regularly checked in to see how I was feeling and if I was comfortable. This is the best hair salon I’ve ever been to and he has a real gift with styling. I will definitely be coming back. The salon was beautiful and clean, and all the people there were friendly and accommodating.

Bre and Ansleigh are both so talented. And what really puts both of them and their services over the top is their kindess and ability to listen. And then try their best to give you exactly what you ask for. Highly recommend!

I dropped my wife off to get her hair done, and was expecting her to have a lot of work done on her hair for over $200. Did not get what she asked for, and apparently the receptionist is to blame since she put it down wrong in the schedule. But as a provider, they should be confirming the details of the appointment before doing anything to your hair. Now they want my wife to come back in 4 weeks and spend the same amount to get what she originally asked for. Not fair, and I do not recommend. I had to deal with an upset wife all day because of this. They should at least fix it for free since I've never heard of color with lo-lites costing more than $150.

Should have asked cost. I went for a haircut. Also got shampoo and blow dry. Thought was a part of hair cut
Will not return. Way too expensive

I brought my very fashion forward 6 year old in for fun color dyes twice. The first time Kaelie did a fun pink money piece. The second time Cameron gave her a full pink and purple balayage! Both styles wore so well and even faded into fun light pink hues. 10/10 will bring her back for more coloring adventures.

I got my hair cut by Lestat and it was possibly the best haircutting experience I've ever received. I felt listened to, cared for, and welcome in a new salon with a new stylist. 10/10 would recommend.

I had the pleasure of modeling for Lestat when he first came to Tallahassee. He did such an amazing job but also, I felt like I was talking to my bestie the whole time. My hair feels so much healthier now! Also the salon is ridiculously cute and the giant fiddle leaf fig is enough of a reason to try the salon lol.

Audrey has consistently performed at a top-tier stylist level at each of my partial & full foil appointments. I came to her with extreme hair breakage from a previous salon. I had pieces of hair sticking up around the crown of my head and burns on my scalp. Audrey was comforting & walked me through every step we would take to save my hair.

After working with Audrey for the last five months: my hair is now healthy, free of breakage and in its best condition. She uses Olaplex to ensure there is minimal damage and the health of my hair is maintained. She is also wonderful to be around and each appointment feels like I’m catching up with a friend. Audrey is an absolute gem and I could not be more grateful.

Ansleigh was amazing! She did a great job with my cut and balayage. At first my hair came out too light but I went back and Ansleigh happily made it perfect!

I got my hair done by Ansleigh. I went from an auburn/copper to a peachy rose gold which looks beautiful with my warm undertones. It’s stunning, if I say so myself. She provided an amazing service and was incredible company.

I didn’t tell her this but I previously had an unpleasant experience with Hair on Earth a long while back. I decided to give them another chance with a different stylist (Ansleigh) since they had good reviews, gorgeous hair colors on their insta, and I needed a new hair stylist since I moved back to Tally.

I’m glad I ended up with Ansleigh bc my experience well exceeded my expectations. I’m a loyal client so for as long as I’m in Tally, I’m going to her. I’m literally in love with my hair and I get constant compliments on it! I cannot say enough good things about her.

I booked an appt with a particular stylist 2 weeks ago. I was offered times to come in for color and cut - but at the advice of the person scheduling my appt, I booked a haircut and a color consult. I confirmed my appt when prompted a few days ago. Today, while on my way to the salon, the front desk called; the stylist was running late and could not see me today. I was unapologetically offered another stylist. I accepted, and they said that the stylist I wanted would at least come say hello and do the color consult for me. I was a little put off by the person on the phone being unpleasant, and that I was given late notice. Not ideal, but it happens. I went with the flow.

When I arrived, the new stylist, Lestat took the time to talk to me and discuss what I was hoping to achieve. He was very nice and seemed genuinely interested in helping me - however it seems no one told him that I was last minute rescheduled into his chair. After talking for a few minutes, he kindly advised me that perhaps it would be better to just reschedule with the stylist I had asked for (trying not to poach from another stylist; I respect that). We walked to the front again and Lestat tells me he is letting the manager know we were just going to reschedule. At this point, I am a little disappointed, but willing to just pick another day.

The front desk person (who is apparently the manager and who is **visibly irritated**) asked when I was available. I offered 2 weekdays in the afternoon or any evening after 5. "She doesn't have anything. " I said, okay, what about a weekend? "She doesn't work weekends. " I was surprised to hear that she doesn't do nights or weekends or Wednesday or Friday afternoons - especially since those times had been offered to me weeks ago when I first scheduled. We went back and forth a few times. She offered 9am on a Wednesday in a few weeks - I work office hours and couldn't do it. I felt myself getting frustrated and said so, trying to be reasonable and keep my voice calm, to convey my disappointment politely. I said, I'm starting to get a little upset - "Why? " she asked me. I told her I felt a little like I was being blown off - they were rescheduling me at the last minute and somehow couldn't accommodate the reschedule - I was abruptly cut off and told, "No, the STYLIST rescheduled you. "

I had driven all the way over here for my confirmed appointment and was leaving without what I came in for. I was trying to reschedule around work and life obligations like everyone has to. The manager continued talking defensively, telling me she can't schedule for times that aren't available - I said I totally understood! And attempted again to be reasonable. Manager kept talking. There are no appts for me. At this point Lestat was cutting in, trying to offer something else; trying to de-escalate while the manager continued talking over him. I asked for his card and said I'd have to call back; I began to try to leave - the manager continued talking - poor Lestat was making a visibly stressed attempt to help. I took his card and left.

A lot of times, you read a bad review and can imagine the person screaming at staff, or being ridiculously demanding, slamming doors…this was not that.

The whole experience was awful. The manager was blunt and rude, and disrespectful of my time. She escalated a simple frustration into an embarrassing confrontation, and never once did she say, "let me check with the stylist and call you to schedule" or "sorry about the last minute change" or even attempt to offer any real solution. It felt really bad. You never know what someone's life is like, or if they're struggling. I tried to give this lady the benefit of a doubt and she just did not care. Nor did she extend the same courtesy to me.

I sincerely want to thank Lestat who really attempted to treat me with kindness and respect.

My daughter’s color work didn’t take properly at her first visit to Hair on Earth. After a call to the salon, she was worked in with Will to get the color just right. Will and his salon were gracious and dedicated to giving my daughter the color she wanted. Everyone’s hair is different, color doesn’t always work the way it should, but experiencing how Hair on Earth cares about making sure their clients are happy has me convinced that we made the right choice with them. The salon is bright, open and clean. We were always welcomed with an offer of something to drink and never had to wait for our stylist. Thank you, Will and Hair on Earth!
