Halifax Health - Child & Adolescent Behavioral Services reviews
7Everyone was very nice and it was the best experience I have ever had. I felt like I could be myself and met other people my age who had understood the importance of mental health. We played a few games and watch a few movies.
My child got released on no meds and got in trouble now it takes 2 months to see a Dr.it's like they do not care about my son
This is the definition of our mental healthcare being in a crisis. My husband was treated like he
was a inconvenience, they literally answered personal phone calls while they were in the middle of our "crisis" My brother couldn't even understand the person asking him the questions. The trash cans were over flowing.there's so much more.our mental health care SUCKS!
It took almost 2 months for me to get authorization for my kid to be seen. Our insurance has unlimited mental health counseling for a $25 co-pay. The billing department chose to code it differently so they could get more money claiming they had no control over the codes. When I asked to do self-pay instead they said they wouldn't work me and told it me it would be more. They gave me a varied cost scale. Every place I have ever been is a flat cost per session. They didn't care that my had already built a relationship with therapist through 10 sessions. They only care about getting the most money. Please look somewhere else if you care about your child's well being because they sure don't.
My son was court ordered to have a behavioral evaluation. Waited 3 months for the appt. Scheduled for 1: 00, arrived at 12: 40, to be told we couldn’t be seen because we were “Way to late”. Confirmation texts even stated 1: 00, not 12: 30. Didn’t say to arrive 30 min early. Front staff was extremely rude and condescending. Even laughed at us when we voiced our frustrations! Still waiting 50min later for a “supervisor” to come up with a solution! From all the previous reviews I’ve read, I doubt there will be a solution in my favor. Another Halifax Heath FAIL! Halifax do better for your community and especially the children!
I am grateful for the care, compassionate understanding, and experience my daughter had and received when she had to visit recently.
