Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale-Commercial Blvd., Tamarac FL

Customer service was great, room was nice and perfect for our 1 night business stay. Will definitely be back next time we have work in this area. Very nice breakfast included as well.

We always stay at Hampton Inns when we travel. They are always clean and the staff is friendly. That was the case here as well, for the most part. We had to check in around 4 am the first night, and the clerk on duty couldn't have been nicer! She was very kind and friendly. I wish I had her name to add here. We talked about her very cool glasses.

Some things to know about the location of the hotel: it's right next to a working fire station. That didn't bother us at all, as I'm from a large city, but it might be good to know for others before booking. There is also an urgent care right across the street. Luckily, we didn't need it, but having that convenience was nice.

There were a few things that weren't so great. The door on the bathroom in our room didn't latch. It closed all the way, but the handle part never actually clicked, so you couldn't lock the door.

The thing that was worst for us was being woken up every morning by housekeeping. I have never been to a hotel where housekeeping came before check out time. In this case, that's 11 am. The first night (when we arrived at 4 am) we were awoken by housekeeping knocking on the door at 9: 40 am! Granted, we didn't put out our door sign because we didn't think that would happen. The day of check out, we asked for a late check out (12: 30 pm). We had our sign hanging outside the door this time to be sure it wasn't an issue. Again, there was a knock at 10: 30 am. Apparently they weren't told we were checking out late, which isn't their fault, but we told them we were after they knocked. Then they knocked several more times between 12 and 12: 30. I understand their job, but I am also an adult who knows what time I need to check out. My sleep was already disrupted, and I was just getting everything ready to go when the knocks kept coming. I'd stay here again only if the housekeeping times/routines were changed.

I have stayed here few times prior and have always loved my experience. Upon check-in, Archie was at the front desk. He couldn't have been any more nicer to me as I was greeted kindly. Check in was quick. Room size, cleanliness, and overall experience was good. Breakfast is good. The hotel parking lot area has gotten better with tree trimming. I believe lighting can still be improved.

This Hampton location was wonderful. The staff and the accommodations were top notch! We will definitely be back!

Check in was easy however the young girl was easily confused. The hotel itself is clean. Our room definitely could have used better housekeeping. The sheets had crumbs and wrappers in them. There isn’t a toilet paper holder it’s simply on a shelf with the towels. There wasn’t any trash can bags or bags for laundry. Breakfast was small but the ladies did their best to keep it stocked. Overall this was a bottom line Hampton inn. Disappointed for the money we paid.

From the moment I walked in I was happy. The receptionists upon checking in and out were very warm and welcoming and the lobby was clean. Room was super clean, perfect. B/fast in the morning was just great and dining area was spotless and peaceful. Ladies in the kitchen were very pleasant and b/fast was great. Loved loved it.

Hotel is very clean with a great breakfast. It is located to next Publix supermarket. The plaza next to the hotel have great restaurants.

I'm having a great experience so far
Traveling with my wife and 2 kids.

The place is nice and clean, and peaceful at night, can't complain.

Little dated Hampton Inn in need of some renovations and more parking but better looking than my last visit.
Breakfast was okay, room was decent size, the AC was kind of loud. The service / check in was / is weak at best, no greeting, no check in drinks / snacks, etc. The place still resembles a Holiday in Express so not sure what that's all about. Moved it from 2 star to 3 but questioning if they deserve the 3 will keep it here if / when I visit again

And we're back down to 2 stars:/
They really do try too hard at being below average

The electricity was off all morning. Me and my 91 year old mother had to walk down a dark staircase from the third floor and trudge luggage with us to check out. We missed our flight and had to overnight somewhere else. Mom's legs are terribly swollen still. The staff tried their best to help. This was surprising fir a Hilton brand and terrible dissapointing.

Overall Great experience.
Room was amazing. Very clean.
Lobby area very clean.
Very Delicious hot Breakfast.
Lots of variety to choose from.
5pm hot cookies for the guests. My kids really enjoyed the cookie each day.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate available all day.
