Hampton Inn Jacksonville-Downtown-I-95 reviews
16I expected way better. First i picked a 3rd floor room on my hilton honors app and was changed and given a first floor now i had headlights into my room and people could easily see in. Second we walk in the room and greeted with stained tiles. Third had pieces of the ac unit falling off and was loud as heck. Lightbulb sockets were falling out of the lamps leaving exposed wires. Bathtub has chunks taken out of the bottom and pieces falling off the shower head. Bathroom smelled muggy and nasty. Toilet paper rolls that were over half used. My fiance felt so digusted she wouldnt even shower
You have to pay me to stay at this hotel again. My room was infested with bugs and small cockroaches. There were bugs everywhere even in the microwave and the fridge. The couch had large dark streaks and the carpet and bathroom were equally dirty. The hot water for breakfast tea was room temperature and only 3 or 4 breakfast options were available. The only positive thing I can say is that the workers were kind of nice. Stay away!
Great location, there's a great sportsbar in walking distance. The room was clean for the most part. The microwave and refrigerator were not clean at all, I'm so glad we didn't use it. The bathroom seemed a bit outdated, the tub had rust stains. None of the outlets worked in the lamps worked so we had to look for plugs on the wall behind furniture to charge our phones. The price was fairly high so I expected it to be a little less shabby.
Don't stay here. We were here for a hockey tournament and thought we'd stay here because it was close to the rink. The rooms are outdated and dirty and the bathroom tub is basically falling apart. We don't usually check ahead and always stay at Hampton Inns. Now we know to check.
I think the best part of this hotel is the person who handles the breakfast. Tina really took her job seriously and was a real joy to have around while getting my breakfast before heading to the job. She was incredibly warm and helpful and just made my morning bright. Nice rooms but a bit outdated, at least the accessibility room I had was clean but starting to show some age. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good place to stay.
If you can stay somewhere else, do it. Everything just looked dirty. Filthy, actually. The bathrooms were especially disgusting. I had to change rooms four times because each room was just as bad as the last. Hair and stains on my bathroom floor. Floor was sticky.
I've never had a bad room at a Hampton until tonight. If I had more time on my hands, I would have left and found a different hotel to stay in. But I'm only here for one night and don't have the time to look.
About $180 Is what I paid for this room
Carpets are disgusting, hair on the bathroom floors. Stains on the furniture. Horrible. I could never recommend this Hampton Inn. Definitely not what you'd expect from an almost $180 room. More like a $19 room.
The hotel was great. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. There was peeling all around the tub and shower. The rest of the hotel was great. Tina who was in charge of breakfast was awesome. All the employees were great. I would stay there again if I needed to.
Wasnt a fan. Room was dirty and hotel was in need of repairs. Even though they had plenty of space available hotel manager wouldnt agree to late checkout for diamond members. Said in 8 years never given one and offered to charge me a fee to stay, even though hotel was empty on a Tuesday.
Disappointed is an understatement. We have stayed at numerous Hampton Inns, we don't even check online reviews of these hotels before booking, as we have always had good experiences staying at them. From the moment we walked in, this hotel was anything but what we normally experience at a Hampton Inn. The carpets were ripped and dirty in the hallways. The walls were scuffed and the hallways smelled of smoke and mildew. Our room was dirty, bathroom had hair and mildew throughout, and the tub looked like it was 20 years old. I would never have walked on the floor without shoes, as the carpets were matted and dirty as well. When we turned on the air conditioning a wave of mold smelling air filled the room. We could not stay as a result of those issues, especially the mold and allergies that I have (we had booked a 3 night stay). We were there for less than an hour, and asked for a refund. The front desk personnel said she was unable to issue one (it was a Friday evening), that the manager would need to do that on Monday. They are currently not willing to issue the refund.
Easy check in/ out via mobile app. The handicap accessible bathroom was a little old looking. Mildew in shower. Some stains on the furniture. Bed was comfortable.
Room air conditioner was VERY loud. Toilet handle was broken. I never recieved my digital key. Bathroom tile looked like someone had spilled acid. Best thing about this place is it's location.
I will not try again reserve in this hotel I feel that I was not welcome it is old hotel and their staff were not kind
I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The rooms need to be renewed (lamps, furniture) and deeper maintenance, you can note it because if you decide to walk on the carpet without shoes your socks will be practically gray. The only reason why I give them four stars is because part of the staff has a great attitude of work and service, as Tina in the restaurant area, the manager and the week end front desk team.
Stay far away! Room service never came during 3-day stay after repeated calls to front desk and promises from front desk they would. Unauthorized charge on my CC, repeatedly got hung up on when I called over 10 times to rectify. When they did answer phone, was put on endless holds. Horrible staff and service, they just want your money without any care for their guests.stay somewhere else!
After returning towels, from our bathroom, that were damp, looked used, and one had a hair on it, we came back to our room to settle in and found someones forgotten medicine in the bedside table. Also one of the bedside lamps didnt work. We were given a different room and that lamp also didnt work, the glass in the closet door was broken, and the furniture was stained and worn. I don't feel the same confidence in the cleanliness of Hampton Hotels that I used to and will be changing it up! Sorry, Hampton.
This place was a dump. And they actually had the nerve to charge to park. Even though supposed to be a non-smoking facility, our room reeked of smoke. We always say at Hilton's and this was a very subpar experience.
