Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville-Airport reviews
15Convenient location near the airport. Deadbolt didn't work on our door and someone was able to unlock our door somehow and tried unhooking the swing lock on top of the door while we were in the room
Lucinda at the front desk is by far and away the most valuable asset Hampton Inn, and the company that owns the chain, has. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the most excellent stay for guests and providing directions for non-guests alike. I cannot stress enough that whatever Lucinda is being paid is not nearly enough for what she does to show the most professional and amazing care for anyone who sets foot on this property. She is extremely courteous and informative and knows her job through and through. Kudos to the individual who brought her on board. You did this company a great service upon hiring her.
I stay at Hampton Inns frequently on business and leisure travel. This hotel is one of the best. Clean, comfortable and staffed by friendly people. Breakfast had lots of choices too. Highly recommend for location and great experience.
From the moment I step in the hotel, it felt so warm and comfortable with great hospitality. I wish I can take your staff with me to other hotels.
Lucinda was exceptionally nice and kind we appreciate her for her EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE️ Cannot forget Ms Pearl for her comfort, she almost made me feel like I was home with family at Thanksgiving️Again thank you for showing me and my family a wonderful and pleasant time. We will definitely be back. BTW the rooms were so clean, qnd smelled fresh
Found several cockroaches in my room. It was disgusting. There was stains on the bedding and sofa. Overall, felt gross. For $217 a night, I expect a clean room.
Pool is out of service and hadn’t been working since February. Wasn’t told about this at the time I booked otherwise I would have went to another hotel. Had to drive half mile down the road to a sister hotel to use their pool. Waited 15-20 minutes for towels there and had to finally ask twice before we got them. Seemed like we were an inconvenience to them.
Came down to Jacksonville for my mom birthday. The 1st night we was there we thought was great until I woke up with hair on my legs and hands. Once my daughter woke up she had hair all over her also. I went in to the bathroom and seen hair all over the bathroom shower. That morning I went to the front desk and talked to a heavy set lady and she said she would have housekeeping clear my room by the time we get back.later on that night my mom and daughter went to the room and called me and stated no one came to clean to room.that morning when I went to pick them up I talked to a light skinned lady with short hair and told her everything that happened and she told me since I booked my appointment with a 3rd party it was nothing they can do. Travelocity called the hotel and they told them I never made a complaint and I was lying.
The location was great because it was close to where the rest of my family was staying. My room was nasty, I woke up with hair on my legs and in my hair. My daughter also had hair on her when she woke up. Very upset with my room.
This place is vile, I have no idea how there are any good reviews. Traveling back north from Orlando, we looked up hotels in Jacksonville and booked this one based on the reviews. The room smelled so strongly of wet dog, it was overwhelming. The toilet had a black ring in it, which only happens from being left uncleaned for a while, and the pillows were all noticeably stained yellow inside the cases. Talked to the front desk and they moved us to another room.which was also gross and filthy. Bathroom was gross, along with a stranger's hair in the bed sheets. The pillows were stained badly, they clearly aren't being washed, and the musty smell everywhere is an asthmatic's bad dream. If it wasn't already very late at night with a long drive the next day, we never would have stayed. Slept in our clothes and left early feeling gross. The elevator button panel was grimey, handprints everywhere, brown liquid oozed around the tiles next to piled high garbage bags outside the elevator, this place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Water dripped somewhere inside the ceiling. The manager and staff were complaining about a customer wanting to, ironically, speak to the manager about the conditions as we walked in. Save your money and your health and avoid this place like the plague, for $150 a night you can get better accommodations anywhere else. Hilton should be ashamed to be associated.
It's a Hampton Inn. It is what it is. The rooms are pretty nice and clean. One positive thing about this Hampton Inn vs one I stayed at last week in another city is the shower head was at a normal height.
I only gave 3 stars because when I was checking out the girl was more focused on her phone than her job. I waited a moment for her but had to interrupt her to get her attention to check me out.
Very nice and quiet, close to the airport. Disappointed that the pool and hot tub are temporarily closed. I booked the rooms partially because of access to the pool and hot tub
Front desk staff is awesome. Shuttle ride driver that got us from the airport was amazing. I love this place. Very clean room.
Free breakfast was good. Rooms were nice and clean with lots of room. Water pressure was excellent with a massaging shower head that helped with travel back tightness. Considering how close it was to the airport the price was quite reasonable. We have stayed at this hotel several times and it is always an enjoyable stay.
The staff was incredibly nice, and the place was very clean. To be honest I really only had two gripes; the beds felt like cardboard (though the pillows were heavenly), and they took out all the vending machines to replace it with a little shop with incredibly expensive snacks costing about $4 each. Otherwise though I’d say the pricing for booking is reasonable, plenty of parking space, convenient locations near some delicious restaurants, and they had a laundromat in there which is always a plus. And there was a tall and skinny housekeeper there, I never got her name but she was always such a sweetheart. I don’t know what she earns there but I fully believe she, along with the other housekeepers deserve a raise frankly!
Flight canceled, airline put us up in this "hotel". Dust and cobwebs in room, stained toilet, dirty sofa. Was so skeeved, couldn't sleep. Never again.
Nice size room. The keyless check-in was easy and worked flawlessly. We stayed here overnight on our way to Ft Lauderdale. It's a nice hotel in the Jacksonville area.
