Hampton Inn & Suites St. Petersburg/Downtown

Great place to stay when you are in St. Pete. Wife was there on business all week and I joined her for the weekend. Walking distance to most of the downtown attractions. Staff could not have been more helpful and polite. Wonderful pool on the second floor. Such a pleasure to stay with them. Will be going back sometime this summer.

Excellent location near the pier, parks, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was outstanding (love the variety of fruit, hot items, kids were happy with different carb options and waffle bar). Pool was refreshing, queen suite spacious and clean. Very happy we stayed here! Valet parking only $18 too. Great deal!

V was top notch! We stayed in a VRBO while visiting but had no place to keep our luggage after checking out because our flight wasn’t until 10pm. We walked in and kindly asked for a huge favor, to keep our luggage there for the day so we didn’t have to lug it all around St Pete for 8 hours. We could not have been more grateful for V and the ladies at the front desk for all of their help! Perfect way to end my bachelorette party weekend! Thank you again!

We stayed one night to see a show at Jannus Live. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the amenities are on point. They have the full sized shampoo, conditioner, and bath gels in the shower, as well as full size hand soap and lotions. I wish every hotel did this. The only negative things I have to say are: Having to call for valet to get your vehicle could be an annoyance of staying for a few days, I wish they stocked towels and washcloths for the room capacity, and our room’s view was negligible. But we weren’t there to view anything. That’s it. That’s all the negatives I have. I would stay here again. Positives: great location, good value for the price, nice breakfast food and area, Great staff. I wish I could remember the names of every single employee I encountered - front desk, valet, security, GM, breakfast staff, were helpful, kind, friendly, and welcoming. They all deserve recognition.

Still waiting on my refund. I had two rooms one for my dad and one for me. My dad paid for his room and I paid for my room. They charge my credit card twice for the two rooms and my dad's credit card also. Called them and the rude lady on the end said no we didn't. I told her then why do I have two charges of 887.05 plus vallet of 103.00 and my card. And my dad has a charge of 990.05 on his card. Ask to speak to management. Said you won't get through and hung up. It was same lady that did our check out. Now I have my credit card involved. Sound like fraud. They lady was very rude shouldn't be working front desk. These charges appeared as permanent chargers after I arrive back home to ohio.

A wonderful experience at this lovely Hotel located in Downtown St Pete. It's centrally situated by many restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also very close to the St Petersburg pier and Vinoy Park. Highly recommend!

I had an unfortunately negative experience at a nearby hotel and ended up having to check out from there at 7am. I called this property to see if they had any available rooms from the night before and they did and gladly let me check in at 7am, way before standard check in time. The room was nice and clean, staff was helpful, and amenities and location were good for our stay.

We recently stayed here for our son's wedding which was held around the corner from the Hampton Inn. The front desk staff, dining area staff, maintenance staff, cleaning staff, etc were all 5 star! So friendly, helpful and genuinely caring about our experience. We would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the downtown St. Petersburg area. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of all areas here. Nice, convenient location to Spa Beach, lots of bars, restaurants, etc.

Spent over $250/night and I get to see some previous guest's underwear and socks in the drawer when I open it. Cool.
Cleaning is clearly not a priority.

Nice hotel in an excellent location in downtown St Pete! The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and although we didn’t require our room to be cleaned each day we were asked if we needed anything each day. We enjoyed our breakfast especially the waffle bar and fresh fruit which was a very nice start to our exploring the downtown area. Although it was a little too chilly for these native Floridians to swim we did dip our toes in the pool which was being enjoyed by others:) We recommend and will be return visitors when we stay downtown rather than at the beach. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!

Great stay at this conveniently located downtown hotel. We will definitely be back! Absolutely incredible service from Erica at the front desk. She called me at 8: 30am the day we were to check in, knowing that we were hoping to check in early due to a tour appointment. Erica let us know that our room was ready and we could check in right away. Hats off to Erica and her welcoming, friendly personality. She remembered us throughout our stay and was very helpful to answer our questions. Lisa was also very nice and helpful when we checked out. Delightful gal, as well. She thanked us for staying at the Hampton. The manager was also very kind and friendly. Pool was nice, good breakfast, beds very comfy, room was nice. We truly enjoyed our stay! Take care of these great employees and keep up the good work! Thank you.

This hotel is 5 star for location alone. If you need a hotel in downtown st Pete’s it’s perfect! It’s surrounded by bars and restaurants and across from the water. I also loved that there was always coffee in the lobby.

Downside the pool is small and parking is very limited

Just spent a comfortable three nights and the location is perfect for getting around with ease, all the staff from housekeeping to front desk were super helpful. Valet Parking easy to use and superb coffee shop nearby, not Starbucks so please support local businesses. Would have been easy 5* review but unfortunately the de-caf complimentary coffee downstairs was always lukewarm at best, reported twice but situation never changed. Would definitely stay here again.

Housekeeping, or lack of. We choose to do towel replacement and no sheets for a 4 night stay. Trash was emptied once, coffee was not serviced, replaced, sweetener packets, etc. I called and asked for TWO SETS of towels and got 2 bath towels only. Had to call and ask for ALL towels, coffee, sweetener, trash every day. Terrible and not worthy of what we paid. Location and breakfast was good. I can do better at other locations in St Pete.

We arrived at the Hampton Inn and found that our room smelled horrible - smelled like a gas leak. We called the front desk, and they immediately arranged for us to have a new room. The rest of the stay was fantastic. Our room was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was exceptionally good, we suspect there is a Southern Chef behind the tasty sausage, well-seasoned breakfast home fries, and biscuits. Valet service is pricy but they were very prompt each time we retrieved the car. The hotel is in an amazing location, close to shops and restaurants. Note - service of the room has to be requested now, and there were no signs about this, we sort of found out when no one came. But it was OK, probably safer that way. We would definitely stay again.
