Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa-North reviews
19Not welcoming when I checked in and the gentleman was snappy. Room was extremely small and I mean super small. Never in 52 years have I had a room that small and payment was $300? I would never stay again. I could sleep in my Jaguar truck and have as much room. The sheets were dirty. I had a violet light and they were not changed. It was very disappointing. We were told it would be hot fresh breakfast. Lies! There were tin pans in a warmer. I took pictures of everything and will be writing several reviews. I expect more when Hilton name is attached to the room and this experience was a complete disaster. Thank you but no thank you.
Disappointed! I am a Hilton member and i always look for their hotels when im traveling but this time around i was disappointed. I made reservations for My parents and they found a roach in their bathroom. Everything else seems it was good but roaches that is unacceptable.
I cannot express this enough…. THE WORST hotel stay we have ever experienced. We did not sleep a wink. The pillows were made of sawdust, the air conditioning was loud like a jet engine, and the refrigerator made a beep / buzz all night and didn’t keep anything cold. Doors slammed until after 2 am. My husband went down and asked “why are their doors slamming all night? ” and to ask for better pillows and the rude lady at the desk was like, “ you know we have a hockey team staying here and we don’t have pillows! ” Um, ok, but that doesn’t answer my question about why it’s loud like a figgin subway station in here! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! We wasted $200 plus dollars! Please go anywhere else! Pay more but DO NOT STAY HERE.
P. S the coffee was terrible too
Hotel was very good. Comfy bed, excellent variety of self serve breakfast. Internet speed good. Location is quiet but found only fast food restaurants close by.
Hotel is beautiful, super clean. Breakfast is typical Hampton inn. The room is relatively small to my taste. That is the only negative. The hotel is more expensive than the other Hampton Inn in the area. So I was expecting extra that I did not get other than the exterior design or architecture that is fabulous.
The staff at this hotel is very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is perfect. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms a little too small for 2 people though.
As Diamond Member was treated as a criminal (perhaps for being Hispanic) Had Corporate credit card on file and was told I needed company approval to get a room. Needed to wait for my company to open since they are in a different state and time zone. 3 hrs later was able to get papers signed and got room card. Terrible outdated rooms and decor, not much selection for breakfast. Do yourself a favor and Stay away from this one! Lesson learned, first and last time at this Hilton hotel.
I checked in around 5: 30 PM. The gentleman behind the counter was fabulous. He was kind, courteous, and very informative. I stayed due to a appointment at Moffit. The Young man explained exactly how far I was from the center I needed to be at early in the morning. He was just so kind.
We can start with the contact less check in. Easy to do, especially with the room key on your phone. A bit impersonal though. The room was clean but outdated. The breakfast was good as always. The staff seemed friendly with what interaction we had. It was also convenient to I75 and to USF.
Amazing staff! Clean rooms! The morning breakfast staff Ma Pam is an exceptional person. Love this place
Stayed in this hotel during hurricane Ian. The staff is absolutely amazing. Shoutout to the GM for hosting such an amazing experience while trying to outrun the storm.
This is our second stay at Hampton and each time it has been a good experience. Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. When we have to stay overnight to go to Moffitt Cancer Center this is our go to hotel. Grateful for the Moffitt discount too.
Close enough to Busch Gardens. 12 minute drive. The rooms were clean and large. The free breakfast was hot and fresh.
The 2 gentlemen who were there at 6pm on Thursday, Sept 29 (mgmt: please look up their names for recognition, I think one was Kurt or kirk? And a wonderful older gentleman.
Were AMAZING and wonderful souls, at check in, abs when we came for coffee shortly after. After going through a hurricane and not having power or water, and having damage to our home, these 2 were AMAZING.as someone that had worked in hotels for 12 yrs and customer service for 28, these two were the epitome of "hamptonality". This is one of our top 5 hilton properties on the east coast (and we travel 4 weeks a year).
The breakfast attendants were also wonderful, and so sweet. The breakfast was incredible. The rooms were perfect.
Thank you so much for being there in our time of need, with wonderful hearts.
-Valerie and Troy Ferree and family.
Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Great experience. We were dealing with a cancer situation and the hotel was very close to Moffitt hospital and provides shuttle if needed.
What a GREAT experience at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa North. Literally a life saver! Our kids were in a horrible situation moving into an apartment for their freshman year at USF. When everything went wrong and put them in a dangerous environment. (DO NOT stay or rent from the IVY)
Needing a place to stay, the Hampton Inn allowed us to have an extended stay experience for the students which allowed them to stay focused on starting their freshman year and kept them safe. The staff was very understanding about the situation and amazing to the boys during their stay. We are greatly appreciative of this hotel and will stay here in all the years to come visit our kids when in Tampa. Thank you to all the staff for making their stay great and making up for what horrible experience they had at the Ivy.
The only place I will stay in the Tampa area when I bring my son for college or pay him a visit. Clean, friendly, and comfortable.
Very happy with our stay. The rooms were clean. The shower had good pressure and anyone we spoke to at the hotel was very nice and friendly.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend while attending a family gathering. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool was very well kept and breakfast was decent. Yes Iwould reccomend this hotel
