Hampton Inn & Suites Venice Bayside South Sarasota reviews
19Worst Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. Hotel looks ok from the outside but interior is dated, dirty and in disrepair. Elevator had stains on floor and squeaked when in operation like it was 30 years old. Carpets are stained and frayed. Bathroom is dirty and moldy. Several walls have drywall holes where doors or other items have hit them. Not worth $350+ a night charged here. I've stayed at hotels half this rate that were twice as nice as this hotel. Staff seemed pleasant at first but not super helpful. Breakfast staff began cleaning up and removing food as I was serving myself just before breakfast was "over", obvious to the fact that I was even there. Digital key on Hilton app malfunctioned so had to go back to front desk to get new keys made up. Hotel promotes Queen sized beds but beds in rooms were smaller than a normal Queen.
It is a very good place to stay with family, friends or just alone. The cleanliness, the warm water in the pool and the jacuzzi were amazing. We enjoyed the breakfast and the good energy of the employees. Thanks. We will be there when we visit Venice again. It is close to the downtown and the beaches too. Very convenient.
Whatever you do DO NOT stay here. As far as Hampton’s go this one is the absolute worst. The front desk lady was very rude and raised her voice at us when having trouble checking in, eventually making my girlfriend break down crying. Please do not waste your time or money staying here where they do not treat you like a guest let alone a human being. Customer service and staff is awful here and need a lot of work.
Place is a real dump should of been remodeled 10 yrs ago. Surprised Hilton has their name on the property, saddens me as a diamond member this could be a Hampton.
The hotel didn't want me to post anything negative or talk about the out dated decor, I want everyone to know great location disgusting hotel specially for $300. A nite during prime season.
This is my go-to place, It's always neat and clean, friendly staff, always willing to help no matter the need! I've stayed here dozens of times, family friends have stayed here dozens of times. I love this place. Centrally located. Beaches and Restaurants close by. What more could you ask for. Welcome to Venice!
Ok place to stay, front staff were friendly, accommodations are standard. The king suite has plenty of room and a good kitchenette. Parking is ample but no spots to plug in EV’s. Had to resort to a plug in front of the hotel.
The room was clean but the furnishings were 1970s colonial pieces The HVAC does not have an option for continuous fan so it cycles off and on leaving the room stuffy or tolerable. Additionally the refrigerator was noisy. The price point was double what the room should have been, and Hilton would do well to spot check it. It was the worst Hilton property I have stayed at. Do not recommend.
A beautiful and quiet place, a feeling of relaxation far from the noise of cities, and also the place is very clean, and the check-in to the hotel was very professional, especially from the receptionist, Nevada, the top in professionalism and ethics, minutes, and everything is ready. Thank you for everything, is worth experiencing here
Great location! It's near everything. The staff is helpful and very friendly and the hot breakfast is s nice touch. The rooms are a bit outdated, especially for the price, but it's still a great hotel with a convenient location.
The location of this hotel is great, there are many things to do in any direction you go, rooms were clean a little dated tho, but overall it was a great place
My room was by the ice maker YIKES, very noisy, but other than that Friendly staff, comfy room and bed, bit outdated but CLEAN and safe. Good breakfast. Will stay again.
For the price, it was just okay. We had a suite and it was quite spacious, but the fitness center needs new machines and the 'pantry' was nearly empty save for drinks. On the plus side, it was clean and the breakfast was decent.
Great hotel. Unfortunately their accessible room shower fixtures are horrible. As long as you don't require an accessible room, it's a great hotel
A great little hotel in a very good location. Clean, and well managed. Friendly employees. ONLY complaint; terrible sofa bed mattress. Like sleeping on exposed bed springs. This was our second stay at this property, and it won't be our last.
Value for the size of the room and location was great, we had a family suite. Had a few issues with the cleanliness of the room. Tried to keep in mind families were probably just living there recently due to Hurricaine Ian. Staff was friendly and helpful, lication was great for getting around Venice area and safe.
My reservation was cancelled but I was never notified. I was in Fla dealing with my destroyed home. When I arrived at hotel was told phone and computers were out and they couldn’t notify anyone. Really? The manager couldn’t contact corporate for help? Cell phones were working. No other available hotels so I had to sleep in my car. Hilton honors was no help and no one even apologized. I won’t be using Hampton inn again.
Hampton Inn Bayside not only sheltered us and our dogs from Hurricane Ian, the entire crew restored our souls with their dedication to keeping their guests safe, calm and cared for… We witnessed such amazing kindness, compassion, teamwork and selflessness. The experience of staying in this property, extremely close to landfall, will last in our memories forever.
Deepest Gratitude to Tiffany, Mary, Manuel, Nick and Kelly. We won’t ever forget you️
Teresa & Bob Simmons Room #114
Mary was great and super attentive, compared to others sitting around. Nice guy at the check-in desk at night as well (Rob I think?) Very friendly. Mary deserves a raise the way she was whiping around the breakfast area. A+
I stayed here twice and the staff was friendly with greetings every time we walked in! I enjoyed a nice upgrade both times to a spacious suite. Is very close to many great restaurants.
