Hanamizuki Japanese Restaurant reviews
19 Excellent restaurant all around. Great atmosphere and great food.
Only drawbacks are out of their control. Location is a heavy tourist spot so both the parking lot and the restaurant may be extremely busy depending on when you go. Make reservations and come on off hours if possible.
Food is good. However, if you went to the Universal Studio, stood and waited in line for your entire day, hoping to have an enjoyable dinner at 8: 30 pm, then you might be disappointed. Because you have to wait at the front door waiting for your boyfriend to park the car, where there's no spot in the parking lot, and be seated if and only if everyone is here. We were there on time but could not find a parking spot for almost 20 minutes and had no place to sit while waiting!
Service was awesome. Food was ok. Not American Japanese no flavor but healthier they say. Atmosphere needs renovation.
This is one of the most authentic and traditional Japanese restaurants in Orlando. The architecture and furniture were very similar to traditional-style restaurants in Japan, and the food was excellent. I came to Hanamizuki because it was the only restaurant in Orlando that I could find which served Japanese Katsu Curry. The curry was amazing and tasted exactly like the curry that I had in Japan. The Gyoza was also very flavorful, which made it some of the best Gyoza I’ve ever had. In addition, I ordered the Grilled Salmon Onigiri, which was perfect. The flavors of the salmon, rice and seaweed go together incredibly well, so I would definitely recommend it. The traditional style of the restaurant made the atmosphere enjoyable and brought back memories from eating out in Japan.
Feels like coming home.
My boyfriend and I visited and sat down for dinner tonight. And this is hands down the best not only Japanese food but Asian food I've ever had. I sampled an array of dishes and I could go on and on about how wonderful our meal was. I don't even typically like what I ordered and I ate enough I thought I'd pop. The staff were all so nice and respectful. I'm not sure I've ever been checked on so many times without it feeling like I was being hovered over but they certainly impressed me. I love the traditional style to the place and they take it to heart. The atmosphere was so calm and welcoming. I felt refreshed just coming in the door. You can tell that they put their all into everything they do. Anytime I travel to Florida again I'll definitely be stopping back by.
This restaurant deserves an average score above 4.5 considering Orlando has been a desert of delicious cuisine.
- It’s a more authentic Asian restaurant vibe. Quiet, peaceful, waitress being more invisible but still providing caring service. (No too annoying “how’s everything”)
- wide range of food available. Sashimi is good. For people who are not super familiar with Japanese food, please note, they offer more than just sushi and really worthy a try.
- yes they limit customers for quality service. So you would better make a reservation ahead and be prepared for the scarce parking spots.
Def will visit again if I would ever visit Orlando.
I went for lunch. Feel like in cooking.
Test was bad. They sad same owner same shapers. But test was different than usual. I am not happy.
I chose this place because it was late and the place was empty. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually very delicious.
It's better than going to a weird restaurant in Japan.
The price was reasonable for Japanese food in America and I was very satisfied.
This time I was on a trip, so I can't say I'll come again, but my son is studying abroad in Florida, so he said he'll come again.
This is the first time I went to this restaurant and I really loved it. The food was perfect and the service was amazing. The interior is exactly what you would expect to see in Japan.
I can’t believe we have a real Japanese restaurant like this in here. I’m sure I will come here again and recommend for everybody.
The food is great and the portions are pretty large! The servers are excellent, very polite, and helpful
The whole place was clean and food came out quickly, I can see why this place is always booked!
I cannot express the delight my brother and my partner and I experienced at this place. It felt so professional and welcoming. Getting a reservation was super easy and RECOMMENDED. It is a small place, but fresh and delicious beyond anything else I've had in the area. We WILL be coming back! Loved the onigiri, the green tea, the SAKE, SUSHI, EVERYTHING we had was amazing. Server was attentive and had great suggestions. Thank you Hanamizuki
We enjoyed our experience there. Food was authentic and fresh, and the service was fast as well. Price is recentable. Definitely will return
I was in the mood for sushi and chose three of my favorite rolls and also a seaweed salad. I found everything bland, my spicy tuna roll had more hot sauce than tuna. I was quite disappointed.
MAKE SURE YOU CALL AHEAD FOR RESERVATIONS. THEY WILL NOT TAKE WALK INS.
This restaurant might offer the best traditional sushi experience in Orlando. A small restaurant, but comfy warm vibe amidst the hectic idrive location, plan ahead for parking! Staff is friendly and offer recommendations for sushi and wagyu dishes. No Omakase, but they offer combos that includes their daily best fish selections. Imported wagyu is well cooked as well, but my personal favorite has to be the una don, perfectly grilled eel on a bed of rice. Definitely worth the visit despite the hectic location. Looking forward to visiting again with a larger group!
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Service is incredibly friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. I always try and make a visit any time I'm in Orlando!
This is a traditional sushi and general Japanese restaurant, the selection features a few American rolls like California rolls, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
Great service, the location is so. The sushi was great, except for the US-style mayonnaise - too much! And it's expensive.
Family run business on International Drive. Great vegan and meat dishes. At sensational prices. We paid $45 for 2 people on July 4th, 2023.
It was really bad food. I love Japanese sukiyaki and I went to this restaurant. But it really doesn't taste good! !
