Been with Dr Hanan since 2005, very professional and pleasant throughout the whole process, even regular routine colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures were convenient and flexible scheduling at Memorial Hospital across street from his office.

Dr. Hanan was a great and thorough doctor. However, his staff who handles customer service is absolutely terrible. Frightens me how some were hired on in customer facing roles considering how they spoke/handled various situations. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

So far so good like the old school way he talks to you come Wednesday I will have a couple of things done. The staff is really friendly and nice I mean your going to have one bad apple. So far good to me

Wow! I just read all those great reviews and wondered who they were about. Certainly not the Dr Morris Hanan I saw. I have extensive, serious GI problems and Dr Hanan was recommended by one of my other doctors. With me he was totally unconcerned and basically did nothing. On 12/26/17, I called his office in excruciating pain and was told to go to the hospital, which I did. I went to Memorial (across the street from his office) and explained that he had sent me. He never checked in or ordered any tests. I was given pain meds and scheduled for x-rays but before they could be taken, I was admitted and the hospitalist simply gave me pain meds and did nothing. By the time Dr Hanan showed up the next evening, the pain had subsided and he determined it was esophageal spasms, then turned on his heel and left the room. I was dismissed the next day with no diagnosis or instructions from the hospital. Went to his office to get instructions. He said, "What are you doing here? " Then said there is nothing to be done.
Finally learned from another doctor that I have a 13.5cm hiatal hernia and undoubtedly stomach was twisted. I am having surgery soon for what could be a life threatening condition.

I had a cologuard test came back positive and was freaking out when my primary care physician informed me I needed to have a colonoscopy done. So I found Dr. Hanan on my provider list, and made an appointment, his office staff were great they got me in very quickly, verified my insurance and mailed me the paperwork to fill out before my appointment. When I arrived I found the office was very nice and clean, the office staff were very polite and caring, and had very little wait before I was seen by the doctor. Dr. Hanan is a very caring, knowledgeable, and professional doctor with a great bed side manner and assured me a positive test result could be caused by a number of things not just cancer. So I scheduled the colonoscopy for the next week and was able to buy the otc medicine to clean my system out from the office cheaper then at my pharmacy. And the day of my procedure my wife and I arrived at the hospital outpatient surgery center at 6: 00am and after my procedure Dr. Hanan came in and informed my wife and I the cologuard test result was a false positive and everything looked great and I was back home resting by 9: 00am.

He listened to my symptoms and recognized that I had vertigo and sent me to an ENT who ran a test, ordered an MRI which showed the tumor. IT SAVED MY LIFE as I had a brain tumor causing the symptoms. Thank God for doctors who really listen to their patients.

Showed up to my appointment which I attempted to reschedule the week before. The receptionist informed me of the available dates. I was going to be scheduled too far out so I told her never mind I’ll keep my current appointment, done. So I show up for my appointment which was for 2: 45 I arrived at 2: 52. Upon check-in I informed the receptionist of my name and that I was a new patient and she asked for my paperwork. Paperwork that she failed to mail out mind you. Then she informed me that my appointment was canceled. I told her I called in to reschedule and decided not to, I decided to keep my previous scheduled appointment I did not cancel. She copped an attitude and said well for one you don’t have your paper work and even if your appointment was not canceled you’re late (7 mins really) and now I have to verify your insurance and do all this now. Ok for one that’s your job. For two you never sent me the paperwork beings I never received it. And three you did not follow directions when I called into reschedule and then told you I’ll be keeping the previous appointment that was scheduled. No one told you to cancel the appointment. Regardless if I arrived on time I’d still be sitting in the waiting room beings the 2: 30 appointment is not crossed off yet and it’s almost 3 he’s still sitting in the waiting room. This lady was beyond rude so I told her you know what never mind I’ll find another Dr.and left. Rude, arrogant, unwilling to be helpful, properly preform the task that she responsible for, does not take credit for her mistakes then takes it out on the patients!

The most arrogant doctor I’ve ever met in my life. My visit didn’t last more then two minutes. He didn’t allow me to talk, even to tell him my symptoms.just looked at the tests I had done with another doctor and immediately diagnosed me with IBS. That diagnose couldn’t have been more wrong. I was very sick and he just made me much worse. Front desk was equally rude and arrogant. Thank God I found another doctor who listened to my symptoms, asked for the right tests and I finally had an operation that I needed, and not the stupid fodmap diet he threw in my hands before leaving the room. One of the worst experiences of my life.

Dr. Hanan is what I would call old school physician. He is very thorough, ask questions I would say one of the best. He wants you to call him if needed and he calls you directly. His staff is friendly too and never had to wait long. I had my gall bladder removed some years ago, it started with pain in right back rib. I had stones, but the real culprit was the gall bladder was funtioning at low capacity Dr. Determined that by performing additional test. He recommended that I get it removed before it became an emergency. I seen another Doctor Who removed it with no issues thank you dr. Hannon and your staff. Our family has seen you for a number of years and you are the real deal.

I am very proud of my staff, they work very hard to provide a caring experience for my patients. We are often complemented on their diligence and exemplary performance. If someone has an issue with my staff i would appreciate if they would bring it to my attention. I would like to personally address their issues or concerns. Posting on a message board is not the means to resolving a conflict.

Saw him 3 times. If you want a doctor who all he does is tell you to keep taking medication everytime you see him then this is your guy.doesnt actually do anything just collects money and hands out a prescription.also if you cancel within 24 hrs or no show he charges you a $20.

I love all the negative comments about Dr Hanan. I work for him and have been with him for over 14 yrs. The funny thing about all the negative reviews are from patients that are non compliant or didn't get what they wanted, Or they were discharged from the Practice. It's very sad to go on here and write negative reviews because he didnt agree to what your wanted. I love him and trust Dr Hanan 100%. If your looking for a great GI this is him.

In an age of managed health care, offices that seem to have more doctors and staff than patients, modern day "health" factories, Morris Hanan is one of the last sole practitioners left who, along with his staff, takes a personal interest in each patient, working endless hours on their behalf.
I just found out Dr. Hanan was one of a long list of doctors dropped from my health plan. So, with out of pocket medical expenses of $40,000/year I can no longer go to my preferred physician, one who has cared for me in the midst of terrifically difficult medical issues. I was nearly in tears today knowing I'll never get that kind of gut care again. Lance Williams

Dr. Hanan is great - unfortunately the staff, "Kim" is rude and has no business near a phone or people. When the product is good but the service is bad that's a problem.

Dr. Hanan is an amazing doctor and always ahead of others with new drugs available to help his patients. I have been a patient for many years and highly recommend Dr. Hanan.

I have been to several gastroenterologists and Dr Hanan is by far the best. He is knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Within a very short time, Dr Hanan had my UC under control and gave me my life back! I will eternally be grateful to him. His staff is friendly, courteous, and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr Hanan!

Dr. Hanan was nice, he didn’t seem too invested. However his staff was the most impersonable, rude people I have ever met, especially the receptionist

Dr. Hanan is by far one of the best doctors I've ever had. I am so thankful for his medical expertise and compassion. He fights for his patients and genuinely cares for their well being. I wish I had found him years ago.

Ended up at the hospital for severe stomach cramps and pain. He took very good care of me while I was there and prescribed me exactly what I needed. The pain stopped almost immediately after taking medication and Im def planning a follow-up. Excellent bedside manner and knows his medicine. I would recommend him to anyone suffering of a GI condition.
