Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Destin FL

I was gifted a massage at Hand and Stone. The massage was obviously paid for in advanced and the appointment was confirmed. I arrived 15-20 min early and completed the registration process. I was asked if I needed to use the facilities before we began. I went and came out to be met by an employee, Jessica, and was then advised my appointment would need to be cancelled due to the masseuse calling out. I then advised the employee that my appointment was confirmed and that I had traveled over an hour for that massage. No resolution was offered other than I could reschedule and come back another day. Who? What's to stop the same thing from happening again. There was a blatant disregard for me, my time, my gas or my expectations. Professionalism was definitely lacking

The masseuse were very professional, and the service was great. The ladies did an excellent job, although I don’t think the massage was as detailed as to what I was accustomed to receiving.

Taylor is an amazing masseuse. She was able to work a lot of knots out of my neck and upper back that other massage therapists have not been able to. If I lived in the area, I would return for her services! The spa has a great introductory price and membership program, but I did not elect it since I don’t travel here often enough. The only downside I experienced was the introductory massage is advertised as one hour, but when you pay at the front desk you see the time is 50 minutes. They also lump your time to talk to the masseuse and get on and off the table into the massage, so you aren’t being worked on for the full time. Still over all a very good experience.

This portion of the review is for the massage. I am giving 5 stars for Havi Simone and for the friendly staff. I have had a couple Swedish massages with Havi and have experienced tremendous relief from excruciating foot pain, calf pain, and lower back pain (due to sciatic issues). I pay for the extra foot treatment with hot stone, and it has helped so much. I think I am dealing with plantar fasciitis due to the lower back and sciatic issues, which have affected the way I walk, so the foot treatments are very helpful! In fact, the areas of my foot that have been numb are starting to get a little bit of feeling back. If you've ever experienced this, then you know what a mental and physical relief it is to get even a tiny bit of nerve function back.

Havi is friendly and does an amazing job with the massage. She asks about any areas of concern, listens intently, and addresses the issues in the treatment. My muscles need the firm pressure of Swedish and deep tissue massages, and Havi does a great job with the firmness and the stretching! Between seeing both Havi and a chiropractor (Dr. Mike with Destin Chiropractic) weekly, I am FINALLY getting relief after a 4 1/2 month issue that pain management docs, and a neurologist just want to medicate with epidural steroid injections and pain meds. Thank you so much, Havi!

Best ever massage. I had never had a stone massage before and it will now be my first choice

Worst massage experience we have ever had. We were gifted an hour couple’s massage for our 30th Anniversary. The massage was far less than an hour. Our experience began with being asked to sign a waiver saying we would not sue Hand and Stone the minute we walked in the door, which did not set the tone for a relaxing experience. When we were taken back to the massage room and asked what type of massage we preferred, everything we said we liked (such as deep tissue), the therapists immediately said was an up charge. This was also the first full body massage we have ever had that omitted our head, hands, and feet. While we were grateful for the generous gift, we won’t be returning, and highly recommend anyone wanting a massage in the Destin area choose a “non-chain” massage therapy provider.

Great massage with MT terry super knowledgeable and former body builder from Canada - if you are in pain and have tried massages with no results he has more advanced techniques to fix it and he will. The rooms are very nice and friendly staff
