The deep tissue massage was amazing- I went twice in the same week - and I am going today again. I highly recommend!

Have a membership and absolutely love it. The staff is so kind, massages and facials have both been amazing. Highly recommend this location and the monthly membership.

I paid for 7 massages, I forgot I was paying somehow. It's the best mistake I ever made. It will help through the holidays while I work at Publix!

I had the WORST experience ever when I went here last week. I came in 15 minutes early for my appointment and yet because another client was late for their appointment they didn’t take me back till almost 30 minutes after my appointment time. I was assured that this wouldn’t cut into my time however my hour long facial that I paid for which also included extra add ons which I also paid for was only half of the time it was supposed to be. The staff wasn’t very nice even though I was more than accommodating to their situation. I will never be returning here and I will be canceling my membership. Save your money and go somewhere that values your time and money.

I have read numerous negative reviews for this location but I have never had any issues here. The staff is extremely friendly and ensures you are helped out the moment you walk in the door. They have plenty of availability for appointments and the therapists themselves ensure they cater to your specific needs; asking questions beforehand as well as ensuring it is to your liking during as well. The ambiance is perfect; from lighting to calming music and warm tables. I go once a month and it is the best hour of my month, every month, looking forward to going back!

The ️️️️️ Massage
First, let me start off by saying my massage technician was Michael and I gave him five stars for his professionalism and his technical approach to my Swedish massage. My body feels relaxed and I’m starting the day off right.

Upon arriving to the location in South Tampa the lobby is very well air-conditioned, and you get a nice hit with the spa music.

The ️️️
The hallway leading to the spa rooms is a bit musty and could probably benefit from essential oils being vaped off.

The problem is the energy of the front desk staff. I experienced two women at the front desk both checking me in, and one of them was very adamant about the process in which I was about to experience through filling out the form, and I couldn’t concentrate on reading the form and listening to her, so if there’s some constructive criticism, I could give as a new client. The front desk really needs to figure out their flow.

Because when I felt overwhelmed, I asked for space to read the form first before taking in new information from one of the women.

Going to a spa is supposed to be relaxing and gentle. When you have someone at the front desk talking 100 miles an hour and is a bit volume deaf at how loud she is, the vibe is off-brand and unstable.

The checkout service was not any different. I still was being addressed by two people at the same time, and they may think that they are picking up where the other one left off but it’s coming off a bit competitive on who remembers the script better

I would highly recommend if the front desk can have more authentic personality, while still providing the branded culture that hands and stone is trying to perform that could really clean up a lot of the mixed vibes that is coming off from this location.
And it definitely has mix vibes because if you just look overall at the reviews, there’s a lot of mixed reviews here.

Listen, I know there’s miserable people out there who want above and beyond the experience, so you’re going to have those people who leave negative reviews. But in my case, while reviewing my experience, there is a huge disconnect from the spa experience to the front desk and it’s very obvious.

An overall unpleasant experience. When booking a massage, I asked for someone that was experienced and was lied to, and was booked with a therapist that had only been there for five months. After having a bad massage experience, the therapist was very deep in the wrong places and very light on areas of concern. The manager gave me a complementary massage and then proceeded to charge me additional money on my next massage. That was supposed to be free. Would not recommend this location.

Cassandra is THE best. I only come here for her. She really listens to my problems and I was in a bad car accident and she is the only one who knows how to handle my neck properly. I can’t say enough good things about her. They are so lucky to have her!

I had Cassandra as my masseuse not only was she professional but she actually listened to what my problem areas were and spent a great amount of time on them. Best massage I have gotten thus far. I got the cupping and it was exactly what I needed. Booked another session!

My experience at this location has been exceptional. I joined the client monthly plan and I have absolutely no regrets. Nicole, Michael, Bailey and Tyara have been nothing less than great. I enjoy coming here and getting the self care that everyone should invest in. It’s super affordable and it’s a monthly pampering session. Does not get any better than that!

I’ve been a member at Hand and Stone for a number of years, and I’ve never encountered more rude staff in all of the locations I have been to across multiple states. I booked two massages and ended up cancelling them both by the end of the conversation with the manager over hidden fees and poor customer service. Unfortunately, between the additional fees and recent price increases, I think it’s time for me to cancel my membership.

The staff was appropriately professional - three ladies talking it up at the front desk. What is there to talk about re: condos coming up in the neighborhood, locations they like/don't like, or any other business. I believe they were talking too loudly and too consistently about life happenings for the lobby atmosphere to be RELAXING at all. The lobby area decot is "general" and quaint. I am a regular at a Dallas Hand and Stone location and I have experienced relaxed, profesional, and more focused services at two Dallas' locations. In my exoerience, when Hand and Stone front desk staff speaks or answers the phine they use a low-tome, happy, voice and/or near whisper, and it's ALL related to the business at-hand, no other topics. I understand locations might be franchises, and different owners may have slightly different expectations of their staff. The yacking and carrying on at the front desk at the Westshore & Kennedy location is not relaxing or helpful. Once inside, approximately in room #6, I still heard the voices at the front desk (?) over the relaxing music in my individual session. My LMT, Sandy, was very focused and professional. She asked if the pressure was good, explained the emergency button and other information during the session. I recommend Sandy.
