Havana Cabana At Key West

Not impressed at all didn't tell me about a pet fee until I slammed all the paperwork then was told I had to pay $300 Disappointed in the management and false advertising. Between their paperwork and Trip Advisor

We checked out 10/13. I called that evening for a few things we accidentally left in the lobby on departure. The lady said our items were there and they would email me in the morning the form to claim our items. Never heard back. Emailed and called twice. No response from email and when I call they always say I have to call back in the morning again, I’m new here, I can’t help you. Then asked about another $400 charge on my account, again, can’t help you, have to call when a manager is here. First girl said she was new and only there 3 days. Tonight another girl says, I’m new, only been here 5 days. Is this the distraction to screw people? It was an awesome hotel with horrible customer service and I want answers to these things!

We just arrived home from a 5 day stay at Havana Cabana! The hotel is GORGEOUS, the people are friendly and the room was very clean. The only draw back is if you want to go to downtown Key West, you have to drive. The hotel does offer a shuttle that will take you downtown and then it’s just a little ways to walk to all the shops.

Let me tell you something that online travel agents don't want you to know. When booking places use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ They've got the best deals on rooms! So much better than using expedia, priceline, agoda. No doubt about that!

Definitely recommend staying at the Havana Cabana! Awesome experience. The pool is like a tropical oasis and they have a bar & food.the quesadillas were delicious! Definitely going to book our next trip soon.

Yes this place looks nice and pictures add up but they don't tell you about the holding fee they have for you when you walking in and don't forget there's a resort fee you pay when you leave that will be half of what you paid for staying oh and if you want to talk to someone higher up you have to wait till they change shift I made the lady upset because they were trying to double charge my husbands card and when I brought it to her attention she cut me off the call and has refused to answer so I have to wait till I can get on the phone with someone who actually does which is very disrespectful I've called back atleast 10x and have not yet gotten anyone to pick up the phone. They really will steal your money when your not even on the keys anymore BEWARE

There aren't enough characters for me to describe the amazing time we had here the staff was super nice, the room was wonderful, the pool and the daily amenities were the best. The Floridita food truck on the premises gave us the most delicious Cuban sandwiches and the poolside bar had awesome frozen drinks.we will definitely return!

Soon as I entered to the room I found out my suit case is open and I followed way back to the car to check weather I dropped something or not and I didn't see anything, but in the morning I realized my watch and perfume is missing, I searched everywhere, filed a lost item complain, talked to employees about the watch (bcz it's $5000 expensive watch) but all said NO they didn't see, I almost gave up and got in to the car to leave and I saw another hotel crew named "ILIANA" just working around and I told her I lost my watch and a perfume by the parking lot if you find it just give me a call, she said hold on a second and went inside the staff room and returned with my watch and perfume and asked is this you looking for? , I got freeze for couple of seconds, still I couldn't believe it she kept safely and returned the watch saying I know this is an expensive one, no words to describe her honesty, Havana cabana is so lucky to have you there, Thanks a lot and I wish you should reward something better by Havana cabana to your honest service.

Where to begin… this is probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The room was nice and clean but the staff are some of the most rude, inept people I’ve come across. The thing to really know is that they are going to charge you $60 a day on top of what you already paid as “resort fee. ” This place is not a resort, it’s a small hotel with a pool. Trying to get a clean bath towel from the staff was like asking for the first born child. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. They need to fire the whole staff, awful service.

Fantastic experience all around. We flew in on a Friday end of August and stayed until Wednesday. We arrived about 10am and although our room was not ready yet, they offered to check our bags for us and told us we would be able to check in early! They attempted to upgrade our room for us also but I declined because I wanted the poolside room I originally booked anyway. The front desk service was great.

Call and ask for airport shuttle a couple days prior to arrival, they will pick you up. It's about a 5 minute drive to the hotel. Returning home we had an early flight at 11am. They said unfortunately first shuttle doesn't leave until 9: 45am. But then he called the shuttle driver for us and asked if he could come at 9am, and he did! This was just one of the good experiences I had with them.

Another time I asked for tea, they ran around searching for tea. Haha. The point is, they really were very nice, and I'm not one of those people who critique or complain about things at all. They made you feel like they really wanted you to enjoy your stay and succeeded.

Don't be alarmed about the food situation either. Their little Cuban-inspired food truck had a limited but delicious menu! Nothing I ordered was bad. My wife especially loved the nachos. I liked the quesidillas and chicken wings.

So I feel I need to throw in one con. The drinks were a little bit expensive. About $12 per drink. They were very good drinks, delicious, and friendly bar tenders, but again just have to mention it.

Otherwise, the room was very clean, the beds were nice and comfy, and you should already know you are coming here for the POOL! Beautiful pool with iguanas of all sizes running around at all times. Haha.

Don't listen to any of the negative reviews. They are probably from people who are just inpossible to please. This hotel is not down on Duval Street, but it's close enough to jump right in every single night if that's what you plan on doing. They have a shuttle that runs almost all day, every half hour after 3pm I think. And last one back to the resort leaves downtown at 10: 15pm. Its about a 10 minute ride.

Would definitely recommend if you are staying in the keys and want a nice pool, great service, and not be right on the strip!

It was a great stay for our 10yr anniversary! The pool was so perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle service is great if you fly in. They can get you back and forth to Duvall with no worries. The only downfall we felt was the room is not cleaned while you stay. Only when you get there and leave, so we did have to ask for more towels etc. Overall we would recommend to anyone traveling to key west.

We stayed here the first week in September room 117 and it's the best place I've stayed in a long time. Every person is so nice. We felt like we were really on vacation because they didn't bother us and just let us relax. The rooms are clean and updated. The floors are a little dirty but I don't go without my house slippers anyway. We will definitely be back to stay here again.

The staff for one was awesome! The cleanliness was through the roof, the ABSOLUTE best resort I’ve ever stayed at! Left and came back for three extra days! The beds were so comfortable.anything I needed they went out of there way to accommodate me and my husband! I promise I will be back! And the food was awsome! The guys at the front desk were awsome!

This was the worst mistake of my life we booked this hotel through a third party that did not explain that we had several fees other than the initial fee that we paid so $700 was paid for the hotel room to start then when we arrived there was a $70 holding fee then whenever we left there was a $300 resort fee after explaining some things to the manager and showing her emails the manager reduced it to $108 and that was supposed to be the end of it.now I have a pending charge on my account for the remaining balance. Don't worry I canceled my card.

I was disappointed by my stay. What I saw online was not what you get. When we arrived our room was not ready we have to wait over an hour, we were offered to change our clothes for the pol in the lobby bathroom with our suitcase which is ridiculous. The man attending to us have no sense of urgency, only one mode which was slow and super unfriendly. Our room was super hot with the air at 61. The hotel needs upkeep. For how expensive it was. I definitely will not stay again. The only nice part was the pool area. Staff super unfriendly. After wanting to stay here for a while and looking at the pictures on line I was too disappointed. Many other hotels near by that are much nicer

Love this place! My wife and I came here for our anniversary and we enjoyed every minute of it! The food was great, the pool was also great, and my personal favorite was the churros and smoothies they serve on the daily! We stayed in room 212 and we loved our view of the pool! Would recommend to a friend!

Location was a 3 - not super close to downtown but still not far
Rooms - ok! Giant beds to relax. Clean!
Noise - a little loud in the evening near the pool but to be expected
Pool and bar - FUN! Great spot

Really only complaint is that it advertises as dog friendly but it’s not. You can have a Dog in your room but can’t take them anywhere else. There’s no grass for pets to relieve themselves which is awful!

Everything is mediocre until right now at 3: 33am. How long does the group of wasted over weight women get to cackle at the pool? Been calling the front desk now for 30 mins no answer on either number and 866 reservation line is the only one who answers.but cannot reach the hotel either. Sounds like a drunk witch outside our door for over an hour now. Food is also pretty horrible. Disappointed

One of the worst customer service experiences in all the hotels I have stayed in Key West! Cassandra, the front desk clerk, was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me as I tried to explain all the issues with the room. Justin, on the other hand, the desk clerk I first spoke with was respectable and understanding and offered to refund our room. I returned the room keys as we checked out the room after noticing a musky smell in the room, broken tiles on the floor, and cracks in the walls. I put the room keys on the front desk in front of Cassandra, and one of the keys fell on the floor and she proceeds to yell at me that the keys were thrown at her and that she was calling the cops! CRAZY! She continued to argue with me about the refund as I asked to speak to a manager and shes says she doesnt know who the manager is! OK! Real professional. Anyways, the rooms are terrible and went down the street to Ocean Edge Resort. Few bucks more but worth every penny!
